We sat down ordered juice and water. Came out promptly. Next visit by our waitress we ordered our food. About 20 minutes later after seeing people that came in and ordered after us receive there food our waitress comes by to tell us they "were out of a vegetable, but our order was in and about to be out" then she ran off and avoided us for the rest of the visit. 15 min later we inform the front desk to cancel our order, we will pay for juice but we are ready to go. 10 minutes later our food arrives.. We ask to speak to a manager who comes out and informed us the time stamp on our ticket was for 10 min ago, so whats he problem? Thats the problem. We ordered 40 min ago and it was submitted 10 min ago... In addition there Were NO vegetables on our dishes, so the excuse for the hold up was not only a lie but they must think they can tell anyone anything and people will believe them.. They comped food but appetites are lost at this point.. Very dissatisfied.. And questioning if there is any other mistreatment of guests...

My boyfriend and I love to have early moringing breakfast dates! He picked the spot this time and I smiled and said lets go! That being said, we were excited for some good food! Well, my Mexican skillet came out with scrambled eggs instead of over easy and his waffle came out looking wonderfull but when he tried it, it was soft and soggy. Our waiter had no problem taking them back and brining us new ones. We waited patiently and the second time around was much better. The real reason for my review though, is that our waiter had one of those hipster mustaches and breads. I have nothing against that except it was not grommed. It was all scraggly and wild. Made me think some strand would fall in our food. They didnt happen but it made me think of it the whole time and I didnt really enjoy my food. I hope someone from the resturant reads this and realizes how important it is for waiters to be groomed. Dont get me wrong his service was alright given his mistakes and personality he was good.

As I sit thirsty and wait for a server to ask me what i would like to drink, I have deja vu. I remember the fifteen minute wait for a greet like the last 5 visits. I watch three girls who work here play in the front greeting area as i wait for someone to take my drink order. This place has more servers than customers but none of them seem to understand that you are supposed to be serving everyone and not just your section. This place is obviously run by a Union. 12 minutes later from the kitchen two women who work here peer out at the kitchen dining area to see us sitting un greeted. They glance down at their cell phones. Waitresses and managers walk by, obviously we are not in their section, so they pretend to not notice that we dont have drinks yet. This place lacks leadership.

The food was excellent, the menu had a variety of offbeat and healthy choices and the service was friendly. The 30-min waiting time is not something that I expect from a suburban diner in a remote part of the town but can be explained by the popularity among locals, which is a good indicator. The IHOP crowd may consider the meals to be on the pricey side considering the portion sizes and the menu could benefit from some lower priced options, but the higher prices are wisely balanced out by top notch taste and environment.

Worth the wait. Never visting IHOP or Dennys again. Egg & I puts these 2 restaurants to shame. The wait isnt long like Ihop and dennys either. I went with my bf.on a Sunday and the wait was about 10 minutes. I got the Cambridge skillet ( bacon, potatoes, egg, lots of cheese) very very yummy. I also ordered a side of biscuits& gravy. Must must must try the biscuits&gravy here. Theyre aaaamazing. Yummy food& friendly service. Will be coming back.

They serve delicious breakfast food that is more so on the healthy side. No fried foods and the strawberries on my waffle were not frozen glaze. The food was hot, grits were fluffy. According to my son, the wheat pancake tasted really good. I didnt give 5 stars because it was my only visit thus far. Looking forward to returning and I recommend this place for the healthy eaters who want to cheat just a little bit.

Lots of good breakfast options and the prices are fairly reasonable. But be warned - its a LONG wait to get in here if you go during breakfast hours on the weekend. Show up early or go for lunch. Seems pretty health-conscious, so you have a lot of items to pick from that wont break your calorie/fat/sugar budget and still taste better than diet cardboard.

Nice place to eat, My family and I went there on our vacation to Houston, This place has the potential to have a five STAR rating but our food was cold, Dont get me wrong it was still good, Service was great and its different than your everyday Dennys or IHOP! WE LOVED THE 59 DINER MORE

Me & my wife just finished eating breakfast here @ The Egg & I. When my wife told our server Kathryn that she is doesnt want anything....the server was kinda rude about it.. thats why I gave this place a poor service other than that the food was wimderful. I ordered the Egg Plus & Turkey Saussage.

Food was at least good, the (Im assuming newer staff) needs to be trained properly for getting customers orders taken and filled, we were sitting for 15 minutes before our order was taken and people who came in 10 minutes after had their food before us, other than that not too bad of a place

Whenever I actually have the patience to wait on the weekends for a nice breakfast, The Egg & I is one of my go-to spots. The Spinach Bacon Mushroom omelet is my favorite... Service is usually good and the staff are friendly. Pretty affordable for what you get, will definitely return.

Food was good but then my husband and I had stomach issues afterwards. Service was horrible - the waitress spilled ice water everywhere. Staff didnt look happy to be there. I had to wait almost half hour for a simple benedict. I would not recommend and will not go back there again.

My son and I were out and about Friday when we felt hungry so we stopped if for brunch.. Let me just start off with wow! Everyone there had smiling faces, the food smells hit you and made you feel like grandma was in the back cooking up the amazing biscuits and gravy.

Fresh food, not real fast. Service has been mediocre at both Egg & I locations weve been to. At least theyre consistent. The slow kitchen is not related to the mediocre service. Those are both management problems. Basically, its good food that keeps the doors open.

We had a horribly rude server. She slammed down our items and was very short with us. Im not sure if she was having a rough day, or maybe she didnt like our interracial marriage (this has happened to us before) but whatever her problem is she needs to fix it.
