I hosted a baby shower for about 20 people in their private dining room on a Saturday morning/afternoon and I can not tell you how impressed I was by the entire experience!!! I initially considered Pecan Creek Grille because of the convenient location, our guests were traveling from Spring, Bellville, Katy and many other areas of Houston. I had never eaten at PCG and i knew hosting an event at a restaurant that I myself had never been to was a risk. From the first time I called to make the reservation I was treated like the most important customer they have ever talked to. The combination of the way I was treated on the phone, the professionalism of their website, the wonderful menu and rustic decor sealed the deal for me. The moment I arrived (about 1 hour prior to guest arriving) the staff were extremely accommodating. They had already blocked the room off so all guest from the breakfast wave were cleared out of the private dining space. The great staff went above and beyond helping me move tables, hang decorations and event brought me a snack because I had forgotten to eat breakfast. They had cleaned and pressed table linens brought in for me which was a wonderful bonus, one less thing I had to do. As previously discussed they had a fruit and cheese tray ready and waiting for me. It was displayed gorgeously. Our guests were impressed with the entire experience, to say the least. Everyone LOVED the food and the variety of choices, not even the smallest complaint in that area or any other area. The staff went above and beyond helping clear plates and refill drinks as needed. After all guests had left they had an entire crew of people helping me put the remaining fruit and cheese in togo containers, take down decorations and pack them up so I could reuse them. They even loaded everything, including gifts in my car! The bill at the end of the event seemed low for the number of guest, level of service we received and AMAZING food! Nowadays you have to pay a pretty penny for decent service alone. I would recommend Pecan Creek Grille to anyone wanting to grab a quick and delicious breakfast/lunch or someone hosting a small event! They truly care about their customers, quality of food and making every dining experience at their restaurant a GREAT one! I do not have one complaint about my experience! By doing the simplest things you guys do everyday, to going above and beyond my expectations, you have won many customers for life! Thank you so much to Brock and the entire staff! I do have one recommendation, open more locations!!!!

Went on a Sunday morning at 10am and were greeted with a line out the door. If you want to try this place out, certainly aim a little earlier/later. The food was honestly just "okay". I tried out the Weekend Special (Chicken Fried Steak) and it really didnt blow my mind. The eggs were cooked to specification (over easy) with runny yokes and the biscuit included was phenomenal. The chicken fried steak was so-so and the grits tasted undercooked. The "homestyle" gravy included with the steak tasted watered down and really didnt do the meal any favours. Coffee was all good but it was starting to run a little cold when I picked up mine. They could use to refresh it every once in a while. Atmosphere is a bit chaotic. They announce meals of the crackly loudspeaker and it comes out booming in your ears. Kids run rampant in the restaurant and really take away from any nice calm Sunday brunch. It wasnt blow my socks off amazing but it wasnt terrible. It was really middle of the run and nothing special.

Watch out for the racist table nazis here! Only whites can sit at tables. Check this out, they demand that you WAIT IN LINE until you order to find a table, but only if you are brown or black, whites can sit with no problems. The guy behind the register quickly ran over to my beautiful Hispanic wife and asked her to get up while a white woman was sitting at another table doing the same exact thing! They seem to worry about table space a lot in here, it is because they are ALWAYS pushing or exceeding the occupation limits set by building code, call fire marshal on Sunday mornings. Why dont you make people READ THE MENU BEFORE getting to the register and while they are waiting in line, it is as if they are always "stumped" when they are asked what to order. Screw this place, go down to the french cafe, its fresh with plenty of room, no half cooked eggs and old biscuits there!

Tried just about everything on the breakfast menu-- there are just no bad picks ! Everything is great-- hot, tasty, seasoned just right. The only thing that can be fixed (if the owner really wanted to) is the atmosphere-- overly loud calling of names when the orders are ready. You cant have a conversation at most tables-- about every min or two: Mary, your order is ready, Jamal, your order is ready, Maria, your order is ready, Mike, your order is ready,--- this goes on for hours. If this was a great idea -- similar, non wait staff restaraunts would be doing it to.. Even Taco Cabana determined this takes away from the dining experience and stopped it years ago.. Time for the atmosphere to match the great food! Easiest fix-- tell the girl calling the orders to stop screaming at the top of her lungs...

I love everything about this place. The setting of the place has a Austin feel to it. My husband and I have pretty much figured out when the popular times are so we just arrive 15 minutes sooner before the line starts. The line does move fast but dont forget the bar is always available plus additional outside seating. The place is clean & has had the same great staff for a while. Most important: I LOVE THE FOOD. If you come here you must order the pulled pork hash and ask for a side of the green chili sauce. MMM MMM! It is a bit pricey but your eating REAL FOOD made with love. I recommend this place to anyone who is a breakfast lover like me. Dont forget about their lunch menu and specials. All their food is amazing here.

The food provided a filling and tasty experience. Overall environment was welcoming. The service, which was the downside for me, could be improved. The waitress seemed really angry generally....really angry. Her face had a permanent scowl and she seemed extremely exasperated at something. definitely not a welcomed aura to bring you food to start your day. I was tempted to ask if she was okay. I also think it wasnt necessary for the cashier to keep shouting when she spoke...to call up and order, when service was ready, to ask if youre okay. It was downright alarming!

This place was the redemption of Houston for me and my girlfriend. We are on a huge road trip and stopped in Houston last minute after a full day of driving and had a pretty meh experience at our hotel and later a comically bad experience at Tailgaters. We found this place on Google and it had similar reviews to Tailgaters but we took a chance. Im very glad we did. The food was great, the service was efficient, but dont expect table service, but thats part of the efficiency. Really liked it a lot.
