Not you typical breakfast and brunch joint. We stopped in today for a late breakfast. The menu is diverse and full of wonderful looking choices. Started off with the "Blackberry Grits" because I was feeling adventurous. They are delightful, warm smooth and with just enough berries to meld the flavors and create a wonderful tasting starter dish. I then tried one of the signature dishes, the "Hey Lucy!" This is a large omlet that has avacodo, chorizo, onions, green peppers, and cheese. The omelet was cooked perfectly, not to dry and the flavor was amazing. My wife had the "Popeyes Favorite" which has eggs, bacon, spinach, onions, and cheese. She loved it as well, and again the dish was cooked perfectly. Great food is one thing but when you pair it with the polite, professional, and attentive staff you have a wonderful restaurant. I never had to ask for a drink refill, staff walking by were attentive and offered to top off coffee and water. The check can promptly when we were done. This was a five star experience, and I will be returning soon to try some of the other dishes that looked so tempting.

This place is slammed on the weekends, but is well worth it. A little pricier than your typical brunch joint, but always great quality and outstanding service. They offer a nice variety, both sweet and savory. I feel like they must be based out of Florida, from the feel of most of the dishes, but there is also a Cajun flair. They have wonderful biscuit beignets with an INCREDIBLE honey-orange marmalade. Their pancakes and waffles are delicious. Their eggs are always cooked beautifully. They bake their bacon, so it ends up nicely between chewy and crispy. Their coffee is delicious and robust, and they offer cocktails besides. As of 2/5/17, they now use No Wait app so you can get in line before arriving at the restaurant. We waited maybe 5 minutes after arriving to be seated, after driving 20ish to get to the restaurant because we jumped on the list before leaving home.

They made my day! Had such a bad experience at Egg&I on Louetta.. slow service, coffee tasted like Windex, had to keep chasing waitstaff around to get anything, this was not how I wanted to spend breakfast so I left and went to Broken Egg where I should have gone in the first place. Service by Alex was impeccable. Came to my table instantly, great conversationalist, coffee was superb, breakfast was great and I love their specially designed coffee cups. The whole experience made up for the bad one at Egg&I. It truly made my day that I even called the manager to my table to compliment and not complain. The difference in service and food between Egg&I and Broken Egg is like the difference between a Ford Pinto(remember those) and a Ferrari. Pay them a visit, theyll make your day

Let me start by saying they made me feel like I was in Louisiana. Im a Louisiana/Texas girl! It was definitely southern inspired. The restaurant had a great Cajun feel to the menu. My son and I set up on the table top. We went for brunch on a Sunday. The staff was nice. They walked me through the menu because it was my first visit. We tried the biscuit beignets, which were moist and sweet. My son didnt want to try them but after one bite he ate them all. They also had grilled andouille sausage, which you also dont find on many menus in Houston. The French Toast was awesome. The coffee and expresso was awesome. I had no complaints. When we were leaving it was starting to get packed, so I suggest you call in advance to see if you can get on the waiting list.

I have been here a few times since they opened. I like the cajun theme to their menu and the food has always been spectacular for everything that I have ordered. I highly recommend the bananas foster on a waffle or pancake. I would strongly urge you to try the baked brie but it is a bit pricey. The customer service has been spot on for each visit I have had there so they are consistently great. I recommend Lisa for a waitress if she is available. They do get crowded at similar times to the Egg and I but the layout left me feeling less crammed in than the Egg and I. A great place for breakfast if you have the time and the money.

Pretty disappointed. Went for lunch and was looking for something healthy. They only have one salad on the menu which didnt catch my interest and a power bowl which was pricey for a lunch meal. Decided to go ahead and get an omelette from their sensible choices menu. They had the right intentions making the omelette with egg whites but they smothered the omelette with cheese and it was swimming in butter. Oh man so much for healthy lunch. Well the butter and cheese made the omelette taste good, but it left my mouth feeling coated with fat. Not sure Ill go back. Its hard to mess up breakfast food and somehow they did.

This restaurant has some of the worlds most amazing breakfast/brunch delicacies. I always ask for, Jamie, an awesome server whose recommendations are only eclipsed by her friendliness and beautiful and radiant smile. I cannot say enough about the foods, the gravy sided with biscuits or bacon is to die for. Grits come with an assortment of additions and can be eaten dad an appetizer. Then there is the eggs. All you need to do for an absolutely "egg"citing experience is to ask for, Jamie, let her give you a culinary delight and you will be counting down the minutes until you can come back for more!

Another Broken Egg is by far my favorite breakfast restaurant in town. Every dish I have tried is excellent, the prices are reasonable considering the quality/location, and the staff is friendly and prompt. The wait can be quite long on the weekend but the food is worth it! My one gripe is the menu change they made recently eliminated many great dishes. I dont know if they were just trying to simplify or reduce the number of options but I preferred the old menu.

First and foremost - get the beignets. Aside from that, there are a number of tasty options, most of which have a Cajun flair (though not especially spicy in most cases, so the less-spice-tolerant among you need not be concerned). The wait is sometimes a bit long and the prices are a hair on the high side, but the quality and service are very good, so its worth it. Edit: They have recently started using the NoWait app, which helps tremendously.

The Manager James and Jennifer helped me host a perfect Bridal Shower for my daughter Elizabeth. They went above and beyond. James even came to the rescue to find a misplaced gift. If you are looking for good service and a personal touch choose this location. By the way the Chicken Caesar Salad and Turkey Brie Sandwich trumped the Omelet at our table for reviews. The entire team is warm and caring! Go Vintage location!!

Great food, and friendly service. The server even gave my 3 yr old son a free yogurt while we were waiting so he wouldnt be too hungry while his food was being prepared. The menu was so varied and with so many good choices, it took my husband and I 20 minutes to decide (grant it, it was our first time there too). Its a little pricey, but SO worth it! Definitely taking my family there the next time they visit!
