This was our first visit, at a friends recommendation. VERY disappointed. Its a little loud but we could get passed that. The order wait was long and they werent that busy (we were there at 11am). When our order arrived, it all went downhill from there. The portion size, compared to the price of the plate, was small. Ever plate served was chipped in multiple places ... and then one of the biscuits had MOLD on it. We called the server and she removed the plate. The manager came and made excuses. He said that the biscuits are made fresh daily and thrown out nightly, so he doesnt know how that could happen. Obviously, thats not what is happening. They removed 1 of the 3 orders (they were 3 of the same plate) from the order. We WONT be back. :-(

Went into Texan Diner in Haslet to place a to-go order. I was directed to the bar and sat there over 20 minutes as waitress walked by and attended other customers who arrived after me. I finally had to ask someone to take my order. Again, there serving other customers who ordered after myself. When my order was finally brought out, one employee showed who I am guessing was the manager my order and closed the box and handed to me. Upon arriving home I noticed what they were discussing. My pancakes were a mess, they were in pieces. Not one pancake was in tact. Very poor customer service and food was just thrown in boxes. Overpriced food with no flavor. Will never return and will not recommend anyone to this place.

If I could give no stars I probably would. Have eaten there twice now. First time right after they opened for breakfast. Second time was dinner the other night. On the first visit the service was bad. The only good thing was the bacon. The other night the service was ok, food was bland. Reminded me of hospital food. They had a not there working who was like 12. And as I left I witnessed a cook scratch his head as if he had fleas and then not wash his hands. Gross. We will not be going there again.

We eat here almost every week since its close to home. Very good food, different from the regular fare, and a nice change from chain restaurants. The staff is friendly and polite. Their deserts are made in-house as are the biscuits, cornbread and hamburger rolls. French fries are hand cut and the burgers are large. The club sandwiches are really good. There is a daily special. I think the portion sizes are fine, and the prices are good. Recommended.

We ate here prior to their grand opening on 8/21/2016. So nice to have a real restaurant. The meatloaf and shiner bock gravy with mashed potatoes was beyond excellent. Burger was cooked perfectly and ground daily. Service was great, and she even let us sample the chili made with stew meat. Un freaking believable! They also grind their meat for their burgers daily, and they are delicious. I will update after we try the dinner menu!

My wife and I just ate our first breakfast here. Its real food - the bacon, eggs, and hash browns all taste homemade and fresh. Ive never had good toast before - Texan Diner gives you that with homemade preserves to top it off. The thick cut bacon? Its actually thick-cut and its REAL bacon - come taste the difference. All around excellent. Food came out quick and our server was very attentive also. This is our new weekend go-to.

Food has good flavor. Had the soup it was barely warm. Wife had salad gave her the wrong salad dressing. Both had the chicken fried steak it was very good. Appetizer was delivered promptly and hot. Had desert to go asked for coconut pie got chocolate was told "it has coconut in it". Not the same thing. Service was so so at best, the food overall was good. Not sure if Ill go back of not.

Food was pretty decent. Waitress talked too much. Prices were high but you got decent size portions. But most importantly, this place is NOT TEXAN in any way. They dont even have Bud Light... The wife got the Lockhart burger and I tasted the "bbq". I hate to say it but even Spring Creek is better and I hardly call that barbeque.. I was disappointed and wont be back.

First time here. They brought me a sample of the soup is the day and it was cold. Ordered a sandwich they turned out do be a very dry club sandwich. Onion rings had a great taste but were just warm. Since the menu stated they had in house breads, I really expected something besides dry white bread. I hope it gets better.

Its was nice however the kitchen manages to be louder than a full restaurant. Is it really necessary to slam trays back there? Also please redo the patty melt. It is all wrong. Honestly at this point whataburger has a better one. The other food did look good and I would like to go again.

Bright and open space. You can tell food is made from scratch. My daughters pancakes were so good! I had supreme omelet and I thought it had too many mushrooms but not a big deal. Kids meal French toast was huge and my son loved it. Both server and chef asked if food was good

Good sized portions of excellent food at more than reasonable prices. I ordered the the Chicken Fried Steak. The steak was huge, taking up about half of the plate, and these plates are large. I didnt even need the knife they sent out with it, it cut effortlessly with a fork!

I honestly have no complaints. Service was good. They ran out of the salmon but the waitress described the special which was the best tilapia I have ever had. They didnt have Italian dressing for salad but their lime vinaigrette dressing was even better!

This is not your cookie cutter diner. The place seems family oriented and original. The recipes have unique variations just like your mamas kitchen. Try the fried NY strip with the macaroni and cheese, is a nice twist on a traditional dish.

I truly believe some of these reviews are fabricated by other local restaurant owners or something . This is now our favorite place to eat. We have been for breakfast, lunch and dinner on more than one occasion and each time was incredible.

Sad. Got a old nasty looking salad (withered lettuce and tomatoes). Very few lunch options. Poor selection. Food getting g out of the kitchen was slow. Booths uncomfortable and feel very flimsey. Kinda reminds me of cheap church pews.

One of the better places here in town to eat. The chef will make the dish whatever way you like. Hell even go as far as making anything you want to order. I recommend this place to any and everybody that like A1 service.
