I was their biggest fan as a child. My parents asked what do you want to eat. I would alway say Chicken Basket. I went there yesterday so excited cause I moved back to the area I havent had it in a long time. I didnt even get my food. The service was terrible a older lady had menus out on the counter that were no up to date for people to read (3 with hardback) only one was good. Then I went to order we asked for a three piece chicken dark meat 2 thighs and a leg she said no 2 legs 1 thigh. I was like um can I get 2 thighs one leg. She said yes but will charge me extra. We also asked for a chicken breast on the side she said $2.50 then said you have to buy too. This place use to be such a great place food was amazing but now its money hungry which I can understand they need to make money but having menus with different price and labeling dark meat not specifying which pieces. I told the lady Im disappointed I loved this place they have really changed. She got upset and said no I have old menu I can show you.. no thanks they were already at the counter. I will try my luck at a different location. Its a small establishment and if they keep this up they may not last long... it wasnt even about the food it was the dishonesty and service. I felt like I was being forced to buy something if I wanted before they sold chicken by pieces too not they dont but they will sale you a chicken breast for $2.50 which is a price I may have paid but to tell me I have to buy 2 in order to get it its a scam.... try the other locations rockville etc. Im going to see how they are.

I still remember this being one of the best fried chicken joints in the D.C. area. Even though I havent been there in 14 years. Should I return, at least to visit, I would make this a stop on my itinerary. The chicken and the fries were coated with an Old Bay-like seasoning, and were delicious. All the rest of the food is good, old-school fare, that tasted home-made, and not artificial. Would highly recommend if you are in the mood for some outstanding fried chicken.

I love the chicken and fries. No fountain sodas is my only complaint. It is operated by a nice older man and woman who are very friendly. It takes time so call ahead if you dont want to wait 10-15 minutes.

Favorites local carry out ! I love their French fries topped with old bay seasoning ! But my favorite part is the owners of this place ! So nice and sweet !
