Passing through Waco and decided to give this place a try based on the great reviews. It did not disappoint!! We started off with the chicken fried cheese sticks. This could have been my meal as it was more than enough for my wife and I. I had to ask how they were made and was told they were hand cut then chicken fry batter dipped and then fried. You have to try this when you visit this place!! My wife and I ordered the ribeye and CFS and they were excellent. The portions were more than adequate. We ordered some pie but just took that home with us since we were full. The owners were very accommodating as we did come in at 7:50 at night. They did not rush us to get out and even sat down to fellowship with us. Great place, great food and great people!!

Had a wonderful chicken fried steak. The meat was so flavorful and tender. The crust was cooked perfectly and had a nice flavor of its own. The steak was a large portion and the sides were good. Not a lot of side choices but they had what I wanted. Service was good and the people were really friendly and helpful. I will definitely drive off 35E to go here for lunch.

The food is fantastic! We have tried a little bit of everything on the menu from appetizers to Burgers to chicken fried chicken the steak all has been wonderful. However I rated it as a four because here lately they are so busy the wait time is a little long.

Food and service were excellent!! While it may take a little longer for the food to come out, keep in mind that its homemade and being prepared fresh! Great family atmosphere and friendly folks. We will definitely make this a family favorite.

Excellent fresh and homemade! Tasty crunchy chicken tenders, recommend chicken and pancakes! The Friday special shrimp basket is great. Coworkers like their steaks.

Absolutely delicious! Huge portions of home-cooked country food. Be sure to try the hand-breaded mozerella. Its ginormous and wonderful!
