If you are looking for the CHOP HOUSE that was on Dinners, Drive Ins and Dives... It no longer exists, figuratively speaking. The burgers are not worth the money as it is very hit or miss, heavy on the miss. Burnt, flavorless, dirty, HORRIBLE SMELL OF EGGS and cheap.. That is what you can expect from this $12 burger and fries. This place used to be good at the old location about 2-3 years ago, but it is extremely obvious that not only corners have been cut but so have the middle and the pretty much everything except the burnt crusty scraps are left of this place. The owner has downgraded this once upheld establishment to a mere dump, and not the good kind of dive. The owner is obviously falling on hard times, which normally would be understandable however his attitude seems to be the reason for this. He treats his staff and customers unconscionable and I have personally heard him tell people to get the "F" out of his restaurant, and provoke altercations with customers. If you read the comments below, this apparently is not the first time either. You can read below for further explanation of my experience: My daughter worked for him and he treats his staff, mostly derived by teens 16-18 years of age, atrociously. He had an altercation with a possible customer, about a GROUPON that was purchased to which a customer was trying to use two at one setting, and instead of just telling the customer no he told him to get the "F" out or he was calling the cops. A verbal altercation ensued at the provocation of the owner. He was very threatening and degrading. Because of this altercation he took his frustrations out on my daughter, by yelling and screaming at her with multiple profanities. The following day, I allowed my daughter to return to work, thinking that he may have just had a bad day, and he did the same thing to her. Yelling, screaming, curse words. ext... When I went to collect my child at the end of her shift, I told her to go speak to him and let him know that it wasnt working out. He told her that because she was leaving at 8:59 and not 9pm that she would not be getting her tips for the evening. When I rebutted this and advised this was not fair he, like the other man that had a difference of opinion than him, was advised to get the "F" out of his restaurant. He is a dirty old man with a dirty mouth that likes to berate his customers and employees. I have never seen anything as gross as this business owner and the classless way he treats his potential customers and employees. You cannot treat people like this and expect to stay in business. So know this.. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

Sad to say today was my last visit..I Have taken my family and friends to the old location many times loved it..Sadly I only went to new location twice its a bit nasty and the smell is horrible.Today I took my daughter for first time and saw a roach crawling across the table where the lemons and mayo was ,i told a young lady, being in the resturant field I know every blue moon some critter gets in and I looked didnt see any anywhere else so choose to still eat. Food was out in less than 5mins..the frys were really burnt so I asked a young lady to remake them ,she seemed extremely offended and basically told us thats the way there made. She returned with the rudest attitude told us there undercooked but she got color right and made few nasty comments and walked away my daughter replyed she was so rude she just wanted to leave ..the girl stormed over to are table and very loudly said she wasnt rude and she whould just give our money back "thats what you really wanted anyway a free meal"at that point I had enough and said you know what at this point I sure do ..my daughter had to walk out and so I went to front where she handed me 2.10 I said we didnt eat any thing ..the lady replied really well lets go check so as we were walking the owner came out and she even spoke to him like he was a dog..I then let him know what had happen and I honestly didnt see why she acted like this over recooking frys ..he was so nice and chould tell he was embarrass lets me know she wasnt felling well she just brought Dr note and shouldnt be working ..and if she wasnt manger. She whould be at home and his fryers were not working well and the oil wasnt where he like it ....my mouth just dropped after the way she spoke to us and him in front of us I didnt know what to say....again he is a very nice man who seems to have gave up ..I wanted to cry for him ...we went to grease monkey with the lady who was also there ordering saw all this...such sad story but something has changed and I dont see this place open much longer

This was such a disappointment. We went Saturday afternoon and they were experiencing computer issues. No big deal. We placed our orders and found a table. My husband ordered THE CHEESEBURGER , something he has been looking forward to trying for a really long time. I ordered the blackened blue burger. We also did an order of chili fries as well as onion rings. THE CHEESEBURGER - this is was nothing special. Two undercooked grilled cheese sandwiches used for buns for an over cooked tasteless burger. Blackened blue - this came out on a French roll and the burger was molded to the same shape. Umm what? Use your imagination on what that looked like and the blue cheese was supposed to be stuffed inside the burger but the few bits of cheese I had was on top. The burger itself was so over cooked it was hard to cut with a steak knife. Chili cheese fries - the chili tasted like it had been sitting for a month and the fries tasted like they were fried in old oil. Onion rings - THe onion was thicker than the batter and were still raw. Never again, this was the worst meal I have had in a really l no time. Reading past reviews I knew saying anything would most likely spark a rude encounter with the owner. I never write reviews but this needed it. Also this review was posted in Facebook but the owner , I assume, felt it needed to be removed. Not sure how thats very ethical but ..eat at your own risk.

Im kind of sad about the degeneration of Chophouse Burgers. Recently they consolidated into the old steakhouse location on Park Row, next to Davids BBQ. We took the family out for Saturday night supper and the first thing we noticed was the smell. It was a mixture of sewer gases and rotten eggs. We noticed a box fan set up near the entrance (maybe in an attempt to dispel the odor). The next thing that was apparent was the virtually empty dining room. Its after 6pm on a Saturday night and theres almost no one in the dining room (probably as a result of the lingering odor). I asked the girl at the counter about the smell and she sheepishly replied as if she was unaware. No matter, we ordered our meal. 2 burgers, 2 kids meals, 2 sides and 3 drinks later; our bill came to $44 with tax and tip! Not a problem, except the food was just marginal in taste and way too salty. The disparity between quality and price combined with the offensive odor was more than we could bear. Aside from the service, which was quick and friendly, the remainder of the experience was disappointing. Im afraid we wont be back. I hope they turn things around. Until then, I would recommend going to Fork In The Road, Kincaids, or Twisted Root, all of which are far better and within a 5 mile drive from Chophouse.
