the fries were warm to cold and not cooked completely through.the hamburger bun was hard tasted old.bun was grilled to long to cover up the age.that just made it worse,i told joey, the waiter. he told me i should have told him sooner. we had over half of the fries left, but the fries on top of the bowl were thick cut,so it look like more were gone than really was. we dont send food back! i loved the onion rings, overpriced 6 big ones for $3.tea had a funny taste.hamburger patty was fresh and seasoned lighly, perfect. the bun was old tasting. joey was a good waiter, french fry problem i blame on manager, not allowing wait staff to work with kitchen help. you may not want to send any back. this place would be good some of time, i am not willing to go through the not so good.

Okay, every Sunday when my mom and sister would come visit me in Arlington we would go out to eat. We were making Burger King our place to go but on this particular Sunday BK was full. My mom has always wanted to try Toms Burgers & Grill so we stopped to check it out. The food is better at home and I was sitting in a seat that was being held together by duct tape. Not only that they sat us in part of the restaurant that did not have air conditioning! Which was fine but they couldve at least told us, like they did everyone else who walked in after us!! We havent been back and probably never will go back.

Update - The restrooms are completely updated and are great now. For a locally owned place, its one of the best. Toms serves the type of good southern cooking thats a staple in everyday diets. The food is consistently good. The inside needs updating, and thats being done, starting with the restrooms. Prices are reasonable. During busy time, there can be a wait, but it moves fairly well. I always enjoy their breakfast, and sometimes get a hamburger. Their CFS is always good. The breakfast menu us pretty standard, but has some uniquie items. Building your own omelette is a great choice.

Usually good. Waitress not aware of things on the menu, ordered medium meat but was hard and dry and overcooked. Asked for dessert. She told us they had pecan pie. We waited. Told us no pecan but had butter pie, assuming she meant buttermilk. Ok. Waited. Comes back to say no butter pie. We order one last item. While waiting 15 minutes she never clears off our pile of dirty dishes. Finally we ask for to go. Wait longer. Get dessert and pay. Mention bad service and overcooked food to manager who smirks. No apologies. When you get a burger be aware you are going to oay 3 or 4 more bucks for fries.

The food was good but the filthy atompshere distracted me from my food greatly. I sat in my booth and a waft of bugs came flying out from behind my booth. The carpet was stained and smelled of mildew. This place needs to be deep cleaned badly. I cringe thinking of what the kitchen looks like if they think their dining area is clean. Just because you are an "old school" diner does not give this place the right to be filthy. I would have loved to give more stars as the food was good but I cant get past the lack of cleanliness.

Not bad. At one time, this place was probably a lot tighter. Place is showing its age and the menu is complicated, but some choices. Good classic rock playing. Standard diner that seems to specialize in burgers. I choose from the breakfast menu. Coffee received in a dirty cup, the waitress rectified quickly. Good chow. Great coffee. Great service. Reasonably priced. Id like to come back just to try a burger one day. And I dont like fighting the flies on my table. A different kind of place worth a visit.

Came here for the first time on our way to the Rangers game. Decided to get breakfast at lunch time. The waitress was very nice and took our drink and food order fairly quick. Had to wait a long time for our food, but we werent in any hurry. The food comes in large portions, so you feel like you get a lot for what you paid for. I got the chicken fried steak and eggs. I thought it was interesting that they put potato chips in the breading. It tasted really good! Eggs, hashbrowns and pancake were good as well.

Toms Burgers Hmmm...Now what can I say about those burgers made to perfection with or without grilled onions (your choice) made in a variety of ways to please just about every appitite. So what do I say? Hmmm...Toms burgers lure you in, where you happily follow your nose to a mouth watering experience that will satisfy any appetite and never disappoinment even the pickiest pallet. In my opinion (and of course my opinion matters ) its the best burger place in Lompoc.

Ate there about a month and a half ago. Waitress was friendly. We had to move acouple of times due to ants having a reservation before my husband and I. The food was good. The inside needs some renovation, its really looking its age. I saw it when it was 1st Dennys. That was many yrs ago. So, renovation or updating and pest control both inside and out will bring alot more customers coming back. Other than that, it was a good visit.

My friend suggested we go to this restaurant. It was sort of hard to find, but it was worth it. Loved the fried sides. Would recommend going for the $10 deal to try the fried items. The burgers were amazing and they discount the burger of the month by $0.50. The only downside would be how long it took to get our food. Thats how you know its fresh though. They have Thousand Island sauce and it goes great with everything

This place was GREAT! the waitresses were very friendly and the food was awesome. I ordered the chicken fajita wrap and my husband ordered one of their hamburgers, they came out fast and tasted great! We also ordered chocolate milkshakes and they were better than anywhere else. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! Plus the prices were cheap for such great food we spent about $28 for everything we ordered!

Diverse menu with food actually prepared on site and not prepackaged and/or processed; kitschy diner ambiance; clean restaurant and bathrooms; rotating daily specials in entree and monthly in burgers; eclectic and personable group of employees who greet you like family after 2-3 visits... Whats not to like? My 2 faves at the moment: shrimp & cheese grits or onion rings with their special sauce.
