This venue was a HUGE disappointment for my wife and I. The actual Volstead House side of the building is incredibly small with very limited seating. When we entered through the awkward red curtain, no service could be found anywhere. Even if we had wanted to wait for a table, there was no room anywhere to do so with how this business is laid out. In fact, the only waitresses that could be found were on the Burgers and Bottles side of the building and they were equally disinterested in helping us. Not a single staff member of both restaurants owned by this company noticed us enter or leave 10 minutes later. I would advise avoiding this establishment.

Terrible. Service was non existent. Saw our waitress when drinks were delivered and as we were leaving. Ordered the wontons for an appetizer, which were delicious. Came out no plates or silverware. Told two people. Neither of them were our waitress who disappeared. Talked to manager about our unpleasent experience on my parents 45 anniversary and our 9 year anniversary. Got a mediocre apology from the manager. Said they were unexpectedly busy. Was a cute place. Wont be going back. $90 for 6 cocktails, and two apps. Thought the experience could have been way better.

The food and drinks we had were amazing and delicious. The pork chops were to die for and I highly recommend them. Even though my husband really liked the walleye he ordered, if he had known how good the pork chops were, he would have ordered them instead. Have to give praise to Christina who was very personable and helpful. She let us know about a tasty drink that is not named or on the menu yet as well as letting us have a sneak taste of one of their new desserts that will be going on the menu shortly. We are already planning a return trip soon.

Atmosphere was great and variety was awesome but customer service was so horrible in the front. How can we arrived first and be served after the following 2 separate guests. We sat at the bar for 15 straight minutes and both bartenders looked at us without even acknowledging our presence. This was our first time and we were very disappointed. Rough night or not, theres no excuse to such ill manners. We felt very discriminated. Such an upsetting stop!

Given their theme, a speakeasy, youll expect a smaller scene, warm atmosphere, and drinks with that special nip to leave you questioning why you didnt order one more. One of the pros of going to this smaller scene is a friendly staff, dark ambiance, an uneasiness of what environment the Volstead act created. 10 out of 10 one of my favorite date night bars. Dont expect a quick dinner as youll sell the evening short.

The atmosphere and cocktails are fantastic! I personally favor the rum old fashioned but there are many other great choices. The chicken wings are huge and very tasty! The house burger is just OK. Overall, the food menu has a fairly limited selection of items. On weekend evenings, be prepared to wait for a table as they are usually very busy. They offer live music most nights of the week.

The bar tender made a mean Bloody Maria. Was super friendly as well. The whiskey collection on paper is great but they didnt have at least three lovely American Single Malts I love and asked about - Cut Spike(Nebraska), St.George(California) and Balconies(Texas). Hope they can get those soon since its unavailable otherwise in the Twin Cities market.

Absolutely amazing. Great food and drinks and a very impressive whiskey collection. They had some live music while we were there and it wasnt incredibly loud so you were able to enjoy yourself and have a conversation still. Our server was excellent and very friendly and helpful. Almost makes me want to move to Minnesota.

About as cool as it gets for a bar. Ambiance and decor is spectacular! A place like this would be in Minneapolis, yet its in Eagan! Whiskey selection us amazing, the three drinks I had were all amazing. Definitely a must see. Yes its small and can be full, but thats what happens when a place is amazing like this!

Not really a speakeasy- The door is wide open from the buyer joint in front. Drinks are expensive. One wait staff member was amazing, fast and we loved her. Another was slow as can be. Our food came out after people who ordered long after us. The hostess was super rude and the whole place is NOT friendly to big groups.

Enjoyed our evening out. Did not expect this bar/restaurant behind the curtain. Service and food was good. We were there on a Sunday between 6pm and 8.30pm. Had a band playing. Was a bit quiet. Think it would be a great atmosphere with a bit more people.

Great food- the Volstead burger is one of my favorites! Great drinks - so many good choices here, but Ive never had a better old fashioned anywhere else. Great service- fun & friendly Great atmosphere - 1920s themed prohibition era, very well done.

Great if you like vintage whiskey drinks. I hate brown booze! Their other specialty drinks are interesting but not as much variety as the old-timey stuff. But thats the theme! The food was good, but not off the charts.

Look for Burgers and Bottles in the strip mall. Enter through the front. Volstead is through a curtain in the back. The whiskey selection is great, and there are good options for those who dont like whiskey.

It is a rare thing to find such a great cocktail bar in the burbs. As a matter of fact, outside of downtown regions and super hip spaces, Ive never seen a better bar. Go there!! Now!! Stop reading and go!

Fantastic bar! While the menu was rather limited for food, the custom cocktails more than made up for it. This place is justifiably busy, but the service was excellent.

Food was good, not great. Service was OK. I had really high expectations of this place, given the outstanding food and service from the B&B side of the building.

The food was good. The staff was cheerful & attentive. It was a bit loud, even when it wasnt busy, but not so much I wouldnt go back.

Really fun speakeasy tucked behind a burger joint. Come in 1920s garb during their prohibition events for a free drink.

The bartenders here know their drinks. Find the Burger and Bottle, head to the back and enjoy some excellent drinks.

They actually put smoke in the glass with my drink... And dare I say, it made the flavor what it was...
