OK, I just got back from this place. I went here because a local Denton resident suggest that I do so. They told me that they were the best around... WRONG! The meat is frozen and dried out. The mushrooms are canned!! What??!!! They do not have swiss cheese instead they use cheddar. And it is shredded! Hahahahaha.... I am laughing as I write this. But it is the Gods honest truth... I still cannot believe it. The somewhat runny shredded bright bright orange cheese looked like vomit on the burger! I do not care for a Big Mac, but they put Denton County Hamburger to SHAME!! Its that bad. I could not even finish the burger (and I was starving). If I could give this a negative 5 stars I would. Oh yeah, and this horrible experience cost me 9 bucks! Never again though. T.

Flavorless burger which was really disappointing because all the pictures that make them look so good. Tasted like the beef had zero seasoning and the fries were bland and soggy and bland. could get a whataburger or an in n out burger and know itll be good for about the same price or cheaper. Staff was a little awkward to talk to for a first timer because I didnt really understand at first given Ive never been to a burger place like this before. Probably wont be back unless something changes, mostly because theres so many more places in the area that are way more bang for your buck elsewhere.

What a disappointment and a complete waste of money. I had the cheeseburger, and the patty was lukewarm and the shredded cheese cold, which meant I bit into a burger that was overall cool in temperature. As for the fries, they were undercooked and limp. I didnt order a drink, which was good because that probably wouldve been inadequate as well. I can cook a cheeseburger 5 times as good on my George Foreman grill, and for 5 times less money! Avoid this place like the bubonic plague.

If messy means tasty this is the place for you, but if you actually like food that tastes good and can be eaten, then avoid this. I had high hopes for a good local burger place, but I found their food to not be fresh (fries sit out for 30 minutes or so) and their burgers to not be juciy and only covered with BBQ sauce or cheese, making it inedible.

If youre looking for a plate-filling mountain of shredded cheese and BBQ sauce with a burger somewhere underneath then there is nothing like the Hickory Burger. Cooked right in front of you, fresh burgers at a great price and simple extras if you want them. There was no wait on Friday at noon, quick local place a big step above fast food.

Man I love the burgers here, they pile on the cheese if you get a cheese burger and the hickory burger needs to be eaten with a fork. They offer beans and fries on the side so pile those on if you get them to. While you eat you can enjoy a fresh tabloid thats been stapled up haha.

thank goodness this place is only a 25 minute drive away from my door step cheeseburger at $5 that i can fill up on...mound of melted shreaded cheese dont expect a fo-fo place...its more of a dive than anything... definatly worth the extra couple minutes on the treadmill :)

The burgers are great you have to get the barbecue and cheese burger and you get as much sides as you want but you get it all before you pay and its only one round but still really good food one of the best in town

The burgers are made fresh when you order and get a to-go box when you order. You will need to take half your food with you...thats how big the burgers are and soooo delicious.

If you go inside, you put how many fries you want on the plate. Prices are lower here than most places. Pretty decent quality, huge portions, friendly employees.
