Ok so this corner was notorious for having people go out of business after 6 months to a year. But now it sells probably the best sushi that I have had ever since I was little and my mommy and daddy loved each other. I highly recommend it. Its extremely fresh! I havent had a single dish that I did not like or would not order again and I have been going there ever since they opened roiughly 5 months ago with great frequency because its just THAT GOOD. My favorite roll is the crispy spicy tuna roll thats always on special. The bed of rice on which the tuna is placed is perfectly crispy. The tuna is seasoned to a not too hot but not too mild melty consistency. Second to the tuna roll is the dragon roll. I order it everywhere else but now I refuse to eat anyone elses because its just not the same. Try the tempura ice cream. Its green tea ice cream cocooned in mochi and crisp batter that is different than regular tempura batter that you can order anywhere. It gives another level of texture that is pleasing to the taste buds as well.

This place is awesome! Love the sushi! The only complaints I could possibly think of are..... 1. The place is small so at peak hours its virtually impossible to get a seat at the bar unless your willing to wait 45 minutes or more. However, that means they must be good right? 2. They play loud techno/trance type music which I personally could do without.

Disappointed to say the least. Was really excited based on what i had seen in the reviews. Service was horrid. Took a very long time to get service once we were seated. When we finally got service and placed orders the wrong plate was brought out. They took a really long time with the last item, so we cancelled it. Wont be back.

The sushi is excellent and the udon noodles are fantastic! The only reason this place loses a star is because the sushi rolls seem to hit the same flavor notes over and over. So even though there are dozens of rolls on the menu, there are only a few different actual flavor profiles.

Not only the best sushi in the South Bay, but Ive yet to encounter anything in SoCal that is better. I driv e a lot for work and do a lot of lunches and dinners and Yanagi stands out. Do try the soft shell crab hand roll with soy paper. Nothing else like it!!!

Gringo Sushi. Full of mayo. Too many fried rolls. Very dark, but not in a romantic way. The light above our table was flickering all night, as in "Your Oscar speech is over", or maybe it was, "leave and dont come back"?

Yummy sushi and tempura, but the real highlight is the service here... The whole staff is warm and personable. They loved our kids there and made us feel like family. Cant recommend it enough.
