My wife and I LOVE Smashburger. Really good food. Weve never had any issue with this particular restaurant until a couple of days ago. It was late at night (9:15 PM) and my wife text me that she wanted Smashburger. Went in and ordered as usual, but this time the high school kid that was getting the food ready did the WORST job and had the absolute worst customer service Ive seen in this place yet. My wife is gluten free so I ordered the burger with the gluten free bun, then I asked that the bun be on the side so it did get soggy by the time I got home (he literally rolled his eyes at this request), extra pickles and no onions as well. When the order came up the burger was put in a plastic container and the bun wrapped separately (great!), however, no extra pickles and the burger and they put onions on it. The plastic container was put on its side in the bag and not fully sealed. But the time I got to my truck the bag was slightly wet from ketchup that had "leaked" thru the unsealed container. I know that high school kids a place to start so that they can get some job experience, I have no issue with that what so ever. But the management really needs to pay attention to the way these 16-18 year kids are doing their job and the kind of work/customer service they perform.

IF there was a Negative 5 these guys would get it!!!This place is disgusting!! It was slow and there was food all over the floors, The kids working there just standing around talking saying how they were not gonna do this or that. There were no lemons in the trays. At least 10 tables with previous customers food on them. Stood at counter for almost 5 minutes 3 feet away from them talking and joking around just to get a couple water cups also 2 people working there walked by me standing there and never asked if I needed anything...Lame. Got a smash burger that tasted old and salty,bun was soggy, had 2 pickles on a large burger, paid $3 for a large order of fries and got a small order of fries.Had a Four Peaks beer that was old and bitter and had been there awhile.. This location just sucks! Should have just went to Five Guys! Prices are way over what this place is worth.

Very unappetizing when you walk into a restaurant that is filthy! Not one clean table, garbage all over the floors and windows so gross, I dont think theyve been washed in months. I wrote a review yesterday that isnt posting.....so I will try again. My last and final visit at the Power rd Smashburger. The staff appears to be carefully picked.....the worst of the worst teenagers who roll their eyes when asked to do their jobs. The wait for our food was long and of course our order was made incorrect. When we sent our order back, our new burgers were made so sloppy with condiments oozing, grilled onions thrown in the paper, not even on the burger, it was impossible to eat. Cold fries and finally, a warm milkshake!!! The bathroom was just as gross if not grosser than the lobby. No toilet paper, no hand soap and not one employee willing to rectify the issue. Never again

I absolutely love Smashburger. The only reason I cant give a 5-star rating is because of the experience we had when ordering. The cashiers ordering system malfunctioned just as I got up to the register and subsequently I had to wait for 25 minutes until the system came back online again. The food is so good however, Im only taking one star off for this. I understand about problems with technology, and I was patient with this. However, it would be great if Smashburger would train their workers to handle orders in cases like this. They need to pull out a pad of paper and write down the orders and then run the orders when the system comes back online again. Its not rocket science, but the younger workers of today arent empowered to be able to work outside of the exact processes established by the business.

I was at this smash burger yesterday 8/0 and I ordered just a side of fries. And It seriously took 20 min just for fries that I had ordered to go. When I asked the manager if he knew when my order would be ready he asked the cooks as to when my fries would be out and it was unclear if they actually replied. But had the "oh I forgot" expression on their face. Then the manager tells me no I dont know when it will be ready. So after another 5 minutes I left without my fries telling him I couldnt wait any longer and that I was leaving. All he could say was "sorry about man". Is this guy serious? Didnt offer a refund or even try and get them out to me. Common.

Where do I begin, for starters the frys are stale, the burger was deplorable, and the service was mediocre to say the least. I dont understand why they charge so much for food that isnt that good. Ive had better food from mcdonalds, and mcdonalds is disgusting as well. This place is most definitely for rich white people who have no good taste in food. Terrible terrible food. Even the atmosphere of the place is weird. The only thing they have smashed was my thoughts that this place was good. For anyone thinking to eat here Id suggest to go somewhere else. Fiveguys is a much better option for the money. Smashbuger you my friend suck terribly.

This is undoubtedly the worst smashburger I have been across the country. We placed an order online at 655pm and was told the order would be ready at 730pm. When we arrived they could not find the order and were told they were running behind. We finally got our at 800pm. When we got home the burgers were overcooked dry and disgusting. The frys were cold and greasy. We spent $22 . Save your money and wait in line at In-N-Out burger and get some real food. Smashburger has lost vision with the customer! !! I used to eat twice a week in Newark NJ Airport but I wont go back again and the sad part is they dont care. Goodbye.

We ate a variety of different burgers and sides and all of them were good tasting. The beef has just a hint of seasoning and was cooked well, with just a bit of sear to the surfaces. All of the burger fixings - lettuce, tomatoes, avocados, bacon, cheeses, etc. - tasted very fresh and actually had flavor, something you dont always taste at burger chain places. We dined prior to the after work/school rush, and only a few people were sitting at the tables when we sat down. There were a few tables that had fries, pieces of bun under them that seemly should have been cleaned by the staff before the evening rush began.

Ordered online for a family of 4 (2 teens, 2 adults). The Smashburger on Power & McDowell ran out of fries! Yes, you heard me right! Suck part is that NO ONE called me to let me know since I ordered it online for a timely pick up. Hubby walks in and was told they do t have fries and refunds the $8+ paid, doesnt offer a comp for side salads or anything for the inconvenience. Refunds money and smiles! Called manager, Matt, and he apologized and said "we have fries now"! Seriously?! Could have let me know so I could make a side for the kids!! So disappointed! Not happy!
