Ive been to Gozen once before and it was great but nothing compared to my sisters 32nd birthday dinner! I had emailed the manager, Billy Sung, in advance making a reservation and he got back with me promptly and graciously! I asked him if he could do something a little extra special for my sisters birthday seeing shes never been to a Teppanyaki style restaurant before! He complied and then some! When he said he would do something special for my sister I did not think it would be an ENTIRE cake! And an Ice cream cake nonetheless! So delicious! That was truly amazing. Our waiter, Aaron, was so attentive. When my sisters baby son got a hold of some wasabi and his mouth started burning, Aaron came over with a kids cup of milk for him to cut down the acid and stop the burning. And then he came back with lollipops for my nephew! It was so sweet. Our chef, Chad, was incredible! So funny! I had the best shrimp ever! So succulent! And thats hard to do.. If you are looking for a great Teppanyaki Japanese place to take the family that offers great food, an amazing staff and beautiful ambiance, Gozen is the place to go! Ask for Aaron for your server and Chad as you chef! You wont regret it!

Today was my second time to go there and the service was okay. Our waitress needs to have a pleasant personality. I tip based on how friendly and outgoing they are. Makes you feel welcomed. I tried the oysters there. Ugh..I had better. It tasted like sand! I didnt want to complain thinking maybe it was me. But I started having the runs 30 min later! Sushi was good but I had better. Too soft when I use the chopsticks they just fall apart. The first time I went there the soysauce on the table was soo salty!! The waitress there look like chickens running around with their head cut off! My advice to the waitresses, Give good customer service dont prove customers your working too hard and look exhausted when you get to our table. Annoying.

They got our portions wrong at the teppanyaki, so we didnt get the amount we were supposed to for what we paid. We brought it up and they didnt want to admit it, but the people that were sharing plates had the same amount than the ones who had their own plate. And weve had friends go and show us pictures and they had full plates. The cook had to go back and get protein portions that he miscounted, but didnt compensate for the portions he forgot with the rice, veggies, and shrimp.

Teppenyaki or sushi, you cant go wrong with Gozen! The food is fantastic. My only knock against this restaurant is a ridiculous rule where the entire party has to be present to be seated. ( The teppenyaki I get, this was for sushi in the restaurant side.) Seriously, we had 2 people not present, and one was the person for whom we were having a surprise birthday party. I dont even care if they charge my card to hold the table, just dont ruin a surprise party.

So I just left this place and let me start off by saying that the food was great. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The girl who served us was so awesome. I believe her name was Mayra. Always coming around to make sure everything was good and always kept our drinks refilled she made the night that much more enjoyable. I am for sure coming around her more often and Im letting all my friends know. Thanks for the experience GOZEN.

Well, we left in awe. Flavors were off the charts, nothing we had ever tasted. On the unpleasant side though. Rolls are overloaded with rice. To top off our experience, we ordered two orders of albacore tuna. The sushi chef might have thought this was our first sushi restaurant experience and took us for fools serving us yellow tail instead. I will not recommend this place. And I am never coming back, no thanks.

The food was excellent! The hostesses were on point with their quotes and reservations and the ambiance was very fitting for the style of restaurant Gozen is. My only complaint: our "waitress" she said hello and we never saw her again. The bussers, hostesses, and even the cook were taking drink orders and refilling waters. She wasnt busy, she was back there talking to her friends on the line. Wah wah 4/5

First time eating here. Very good service. The atmosphere was very nice. I had the the deluxe sushi dinner for $20. I feel the sushi did not taste fresh. The rolls were good but the yellow tail salmon and tuna were very thin cut and tasted unfresh. Too bad because I liked the place. I probably wont be back.

The food was acceptable but the drink selection was terrible. We had to just eat and go elsewhere for decent drinks. Even the girl working the cash register said they have a lousy drink selection. For a nice place like this I would expect a full bar and multiple beers on tap but alas, this was not to be.

I actually did not go. Made reservations, but I asked if bacon comes in the rice, they said Thay do not have bacon. Sorry, I had to cancel my reservations. Once youve have teppanyaki fried rice with bacon and there Delicious sauce, you cant have it any other way.

Sushi was fresh and has a high turn over rate so it wasnt sitting around in a freezer for ever. Awesome rolls, and Tapenyaki was fun too. Reasonable price for how fresh and beautiful it was. Impressive for a date, or to show off for a business lunch.

Excellent sushi. Wide variety of american and traditional styles. Its a bit pricey but worth it. They offer teppanyaki as well. Prices vary from lunch and dinner. They have expanded and have a full bar area now too. Nice atmosphere and staff.

Food was good as always, but why dont the lunch prices online match the ones on the menu. Went in there expecting to pay 13.95 but the menu said 16.95, when I asked the worker they said they had no idea gozens was even online.

I ordered a seaweed salad and the salmon roll (salmon wrapped around tuna-no rice or seaweed) for dinner. Woke up early the next morning with sever stomach cramps and nausea. The service was slow too. Never going there again!

ive never eaten in here, but my takeout is always fresh and always excellent. they skimp a bit on the miso soup portions, but make up for it with the seaweed salads! their tuna rolls and spicy tuna rolls are always awesome!

Great tempenyake, love to go for lunch. The food is fresh prepared and comes with enough to take home. The cooks are ok, they do few tricks. Some interact more than others. Not a complaint, just a heads up. Will go again.

They have the best fried rice around!!! Their teppanyaki is delicious & cooks are fun to watch. Sushi is pretty bomb too when you order the right stuff. Spider roll is creepy! Wont make that mistake again. Lol!

Awesome food. Everyone in our group of 6 loved the entrees and the little ice cream balls were great! Good atmosphere. Its an all around excellent choice for a night out for Japanese cuisine.
