Believe it or not, but a restaurant that doesnt provide good service will FAIL no matter how tasty or well prepared the food is. And it wasnt that great. I used to be a fairly regular customer when it was Clay Pit. I drove all the way from MCKINNEY, got there at 2:30pm. The buffet closes at 3pm right? You would have thought I walked in at 5pm. THREE men standing at the front, who were obvious staff memebers, were too busy deciding on menu choices and being too important to even talk to me. Although one of them glanced at me and then went back to his conversation. RUDE! No waiter came to ask if I wanted naan (like they did when it was CP) or even some water. I sat there and sat there. The staff members would look at me, walk toward me and veer off at the buffet to get themselves a plate of food. There were waiters, I saw one carrying a tray of al a carte food to a table. It was the grand opening. If you dont want to serve us water or naan, put it near the buffet! Keep treating people this way and word gets around. Perhaps it was because I was female and they are just arrogant or sexist? Not sure. What I AM sure of is that the 4,300 people on my email list will know what happened. Disgusting service. And heres a tip: I used to drive to Pasands in Richardson. They had the same attitude towards females. They are closed now. Females spend money and like good restaurants like anyone else. Restaurants dont make it on food alone. And they arent the only game in town, think I will try FLAVORS in Addison and never come back to this place. I felt very unwelcome there. By the way, Clay Pit never made someone feel bad because they arrived at 3pm, they just gave a menu. You are a restaurant, not a home. People want to come and pay you ....you should have food to serve or lock the doors. NOT lecture or treat people rudely. BUH-BYE!

Ok, Ill start this out with we went on Mothers day 2013 and were disappointed overall with the experience. That said I believe this was because they were just unprepared for the number of people who arrived. There was a 20 min wait when we got there and a 20 min wait when we left. They just couldnt keep up. Im giving them a "Very Good" on food because what food we got was quite good. They talk about their Hyderabadi Biryani on their web-page and how they put that on every table. Most tables had some but they never gave us any. Most of all I blame the lack of preparation for the number of people for the poor experience but my wife says we will never go back. I gave them only a "good" on decor because they had us sitting in the bar area on a table and chairs they had brought in from outside. Of the 4 chairs 3 still had bird poop on them, I made sure my wife got the clean one. Service was non-existent. Several people stood right outside the door to the kitchen in an attempt to get water or their checks. They ran out of plates, bowls, and food on the buffet several times. My final thoughts? Try them out if you like good Indian food and post your review. They obviously know how to cook Indian food, I hope they can learn how to run a restaurant.

One more jewel in my collection! Just came from friday buffet. I knew the place by clay pit, so i was not surprised with ambiance, its upscale look is pleasant for new visitors.Biryani in mini bowl, fresh naan skips me to compete in line. Taste and texture was well preserved to the authentic style. Low spice level than usual is the style of this location ( even during clay pit era ), so would not complain. Curries were made with perfect taste and density, I can feel fresh paneer in curries.Meat was tender in all dishes. Umnn sambar took a big dive , way off than usual. Desserts were awesome, never had such a smooth creamy bread pudding. Food is what matters to me and I was ready to accept the low service based on prior reviews, but surprisingly it was great as well, to add I noticed other waiters had same service to other tables. I know the restaurants get overwhelmed during special days so I skip on those days and be busy with my own kitchen.

By far the best Indian restaurant I have been to in Allen, Plano and Addison areas. The food, service and the ambience all exceeded my expectations. For the first time I had the country organic chicken, rarely found in menus of other places around here. The goat dhum biriyani had the right balance of spices and flavor. The goat meat falling off the bone and delicious. My wife ordered the lamb chops tandoori and this is the second time she is having it. The meat was cooked to tender and well marinated. The prices are very nominal compared to other indian places in Addison. And the portions were very generous and we even carried the left overs home. Our waiter was kind enough to individually pack all leftovers in plasticwares. I will definitely be back here soon with my family. Must try!

The service was pathetic.. I was with my family. There was no one even at front desk to put us through a seat. I asked for a better seat as my wife is not comfortable as she was 9 month pregnant . The other table with sofa was were empty, but the waiter never heard our request with attention to change the table. Would not recommend to anyone. As I have seen similar review about service, expecting the owner who responds for the positive feedback in this forum accepts these critical feedback and try to improve the service for his own benefit.

Bawarchi Signature has a really good lunch buffet on the weekends. They offer an array of Indian food including Kababs, chaat, curries, biryani, etc. Their deserts are ok (nothing spectacular). I went there twice and noticed that they arent consistent with the dishes. they do rotate so you might not always get your favorite desert. Overall -Lunch Buffet (with non-veg) under $13- worth it. Additionally I think they offer a discounted price if you pay in cash. (Dont know if they still have that).

I used to go for lunch buffet often. One of the best indian buffet in DFW. Food quality is good. Consistent good taste. I will recommend week end buffet. Lot option to choose both veg and non-veg. Keep it up. I heard same owner has other restaurant in Irving. Will review and post my comment. Dont waste money with other indian restaurant in Addision tx.

Pros 1. Good Ambiance 2. Good Servers 3. Good Variety of Buffet specially weekend buffet 4. Most of the items on Menu were good in taste. Cons 1. Chiken Tikka Masala Gravy was good but the actual chicken pieces were not good at all. Overcooked. This is 2nd time we observed this in this restaurant. So, had to mention it.
