Do NOT go to this restaurant. I wanted to sit on the bay and have a nice dinner before leaving Strathmere, but we ended our weekend trip with a bad taste in our mouth, no pun intended. My fiance and I both ordered the pulled pork sandwich off of the BBQ menu. My fiance asked for cheddar on his, and I asked for coleslaw (as a side or on top, I didnt care) and the waiter said, "yes, we can do anything you want." The food runner brings our sandwiches and apologizes, saying they didnt have cheddar or coleslaw. The waiter then comes out and apologizes again, saying sorry, he had a conversation with the chef about it (but still, no cheese or coleslaw). To add insult to injury, my sandwich didnt have enough meat to cover half of the bun, and my fiance had to give me some of his to make up for the loss. Later, I saw the table next to us getting sides of coleslaw, and mentioned it to the waiter, (they had said they didnt have any coleslaw) and he said he put in the order with our requests, but since the kitchens are different (BBQ menu and regular menu) the chef "couldnt" put our condiments on our sandwiches. I said, "but its the same restaurant, right?" and he said, "yes, its the same restaurant." So what it comes down to is, the chef didnt want to add our toppings to our sandwiches, and the waiter did NOT make any effort to get the toppings on his own and bring them as a side. He was acting suspicious like he was covering something up the entire time, and he nervously said he would comp all of our meals. But after he talked to the manager, they only comped 5.00 off of each sandwich, and then said "and we also removed the charge for the coleslaw and cheddar" as if it was a favor to remove the charge for food we did not receive! Never going back there again. It was too expensive for the quality of food and service we received. All they have going for them is their location on the water.

We had a party of 13 and two high chairs we were looking forward to ojr yearly dinner there however an older lady that was at the host stand td we werent able to put tables together touching we were fine with that. Then she walks us to our table wjen a memeber of our group asked of we were allowed to pull the tables closer not touching and the older lady that set us up got very pissy with us rolling her eyes at us. I have been in the resturant bussiness for 8 years never have i ever treated my coustmers the way we were treated. And never have i ever rolled my eyes at people who were paying a pretty decent amount of money. Down right ignorant. Not that it shows much due to the fact that if i were a manager seeing a large larty leaving and not trying to get them to stay says a lot about the manager. And for the host (the older lady) telling a memeber of our group his attidude wasnt any better then the way they treated us was just screwed up. We will never come back and i hope you dont treat other costumers thats way. This resturant should have a ratong of zero stars. Maybe you guys need a new staff people that want bussiness Wwe will never going back. Also never have i EVER had soneone make us feel unwanted at a resturant. Wish i would have gotten the hosts name.

Worst restaurant experience in years. Waited over an hour for a table when we saw multiple tables open including the one we were finally sat at for the entire time, we were quoted 25-30 mins. After talking to the hostess, who told us they were understaffed we finally got sat and the waiter was great he took our order quickly and brought us drinks quickly. We waited over an hour and still had no food so we found the manager/owner and she did nothing but tell us that she had been cooking all day because she had so many people not show up and that we should be prepared to wait hours and relax if we want to sit outside. We were relaxing until we got to the 2 hour mark and the kids started to lay down on the plastic chairs and fall asleep. We asked to pay for our drinks and left to eat leftover roasted chicken and mac n cheese after tipping the waiter the full amount if we would have eaten our meals, since he was great it was the management/owner that was terrible. If this restaurant was not at the shore they would be closed by now because of the poor management, since they are really the only game in town since OC is dry they can stay open. Wont be returning here again.

One Star is one too many!!!!!! I paid $35 for a steak with no sides........wait I did get a side of red mash potatoes and carrots but they cost me another $13!!!! The carrots were glazed and BARELY cooked!!! Pathetic????? All of the entres come with no sides. They gave us some kind of appetizer........... a spoonful of fruit to cleanse my pallet????? Then the salad came in a large bowl, I think it was Italian dressing ( I passed on it) and we had to spoon it out ourselves onto plastic salad bowls. Would you pay $35 for a NY Strip steak that you could buy and cook yourself for $15 with no sides??? If this were a 5 star NY City Restaurant I would expect this kind of a deal…….but a restaurant in Strathmere………The one Plus was the waitress we had was pleasant and excellent. If I were her I’d look for another job this place can’t last much longer. Save your money and go to Wendy’s and get the 4 for $4….. it’s a better meal deal!!!!

Not family friendly. Bad food. I wish I had read the reviews before we went. I never would have gone. I never write bad reviews but I had to this time. I went here last night with my girlfriend and nephew (hes 7). We were babysitting him for my brother. This older lady came up to our table and scolded us for letting him walk to the window to see the sunset. She said he had to stay in his seat. I found out later she was the owner. Both me and my girlfriend were so embarrassed. We did our best to keep him in his seat while she watched us from the bar. We waited about 40 mins for our appetizers to arrive, then another 30 for our main food to arrive. The place was empty. It was a Wednesday, but I would have thought our food would have been much faster. Our bill almost $200. And the food was mediocre at best. I feel ripped off and never had someone speak down to me like that before. We will never go back.

Just finished our meal at Deauville. Weve been coming here for years but we are leaving extremely disappointed and doubt we will be returning. We always brought our out of town friends here but not anymore. The service was terrible but we were ok with that as we obviously had a new waitress and it was Memorial Day weekend. They apparently increased the prices of the food but now give you less. A burger served in a plastic basket served in the dining room was $12 with nothing. It use to come with at least a bag of chips. Asked the waitress and she said they just changed the menu and everything is now a la carte. Of course it is! Do yourself a favor: if you want to go to a restaurant in the area that is on the water go to Baia in Somers Point. About the same prices but really good food, larger portions and amazing views.
