first of all they are changing the name shortly to rice and roti. Went there today, I admit i did have a little wait for the guy to come out and take my order, but DAMN this food was amazing. for 9$ you can get a curry and choice of rice or naan. The portions of naan are good it is a whole one of those ovals cut in half and you get both halves.. curry is a decent size and they dont short you on rice which is unlike many other Thai restaurants i go to. For 10.80 you can get curry, rice and naan. I got the lamb curry it was delicious and i am actually quite stuffed after eating. spicy but not overwhelming deep complex flavors. Plenty of other good looking things on the menu. I wanted to try the kheer but they didnt have it made because it was early. I saw PLENTY of indian folks in there, always a good.sign.what TONS of things on the menu all categorized by what type of meat it is or type of dish. I am pleased and WILL return. the staff was so friendly and answered ALL of my 30 questions or so about indian cusine. I am a foreign foodie fanatic and they explained do me things like the difference between northern and southern indian foods and curries

I am completely dumbfounded at the place. Taste did exceeded my expectations, but the decor and personnel, just kill the place. The restaurant is ok for a quick take out, but beware! the bathroom was dirty beyond belief. The look and smell were unbearable. If the old say is correct, dirty bathroom=very dirty kitchen. Decor: The place looks like a beat up cafeteria, the booths are very old and cracked, and the chairs and table have been recycled a few times. The Bollywood movie that was blaring on both walls made conversation difficult. Food: Masala and Vanadaloo were fantastic, rice was lumpy and bread just so-so. The food was not tough on my stomach, and was not over-bearing. The mango lassie and the somosas were generic, tasted as if previously prepared, specially the somosas, they tasted very costco-sy Hospitality: Ridiculously rude staff, would not answer questions, would not acknowledge comments. Took forever for the guy to check for the group-on coupon. The total for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) was $35 (plus +15 coupon). The price and bathroom will ensure I will never come back to the place. Too bad, the food was a real treat.

Ive been coming to this restaurant 3 times now over the last several weeks. I recently started working in the offices next door. The food here is excellent! I have not ordered anything that I have not liked so far. The chicken korma was flavorful and the meat was tender and well-spiced. Their naan is off the charts--always super tasty, warm, and pillowy. I also tried the biryani--first the lamb, then chicken. While I liked the lamb more (it was lamb cooked to perfection, very tender, bite-sized pieces), the chicken was excellent as well. Both times the biryani portion size was HUGE! Thought I was starving and ate as much as I could, I still had leftovers. The samosas are pretty good as well, though I think they pale in comparison to the main dishes. I think its true that this restaurant is where to come for the food, not the ambiance. And the food is well worth it. Prices are very reasonable, with my meals costing around 8 to 10 dollars. I will continue to visit this restaurant as long as I work in the area, and recommend it to anyone who likes Indian food.

Horrible food and experience. - Seats were bad and the cushions were wearing off - Only one waitress available and that too doesnt know what she is doing - Tried to order Veg cutlet and French Fries among other things but was told that they dont have them - Ordered Samosa and Idly-Sambhar to start. Then Paneer Tikka Masala and Navratan Corma as entres - Samosa never showed up at all even after requesting multiple times. Had to get my money back then - Sambhar was horrible and did not taste like Sambhar at all. It was too thick as well - Chicken Tikka Masala was sent instead of Paneer Tikka Masala. Was about to eat it before that clueless waitress came look for it - Both entres were lacking the taste and the looks Even the large group that came after us was sending the food back to the kitchen. If you had a good experience with them, then count it as you lucky day and buy some lotto :). I am one and done with this place.

The owners seem to be primarily from South India (Andhra Pradesh / Karnataka) and they specialize in north Indian entries & south Indian breakfast. Food taste decent and I would recommend people to go to this restaurant and try. Their gravy’s have a lot of cream in it, so you may feel full / bloated after lunch / dinner. I am a vegetarian and have not tried anything in their non-veg menu. I would recommend going here in the evening for some Onion pakora and tea/coffee as it tastes pretty good. My favorites – Onion Pakora, Shahi Paneer , Garlic Naan & Hyderabadi Dum Biryani. Large part of their business seems to be take away / Uber Eats ..etc. They don’t have a great ambience and having been here multiple times their staff is courteous but they might be a bit clueless about their menu and if you ask for recommendations.

Excellent catering service and food from RiceNRoti for a dance event organized by me recently. It was boxed to-go vegetarian dinner for about 200 guests and Rani from the restaurant was very courteous in understanding our requirements, discussing the options and even providing sample food to taste before placing the order. They delivered the food to the location on time. In addition we had arranged for snacks and coffee/tea too prior to the event that was also done well. Overall very happy with the service. This is probably the worst Indian restaurant that I have come across in DFW area which is a total waste of money. I ordered for a Karahi Paneer with Naan; although the naan was soft but Karahi paneer was awfully sweet and tasted nothing like the same. I also ordered special veg biryani which tasted horrible and seemed to be made up of cauliflower manchurian with lots of red color sprinkled on white rice. I am really amazed by so many positive reviews about this restaurant; seems like some acquaintances of the owner posted them.

I lived in South India for two years. When I came back I searched all over DFW for the authentic Andhra biriyani I had enjoyed so frequently in India. I finally found it at Rice N Roti. The recipe is perfect and the flavor is overwhelmingly rich. I would go as far to say that the taste exceeds any biriyani I ever had in India. The portions are generous, the biriyani easily feeds two people. Dont be deceived when you read Chinese on the sign outside - this is a proper South Indian restaurant!

Best indian food in the DFW area, and for the record i have no past with the owner i dont even know his/her name. There are some things that you should not get such as the vegetable biryani and the karani paneer. My personal favorite things on the menu are the chicken biryani the chickn tikka marsala they make very well and their combonation platter they have a sweet deal on the weekends for. Also you should order 20 minutes before you get there so it will be hot and ready when you arrive.
