We stopped for dinner while traveling through town -- it was summer and hot, and they were the only place we could find thatd let us have our dog sit with us on the patio. Let me say, it was a lucky find. The food was delicious, the portions large, and the price low. Everyone was really helpful and nice -- we had forgotten that we had ordered a dinner that comes with a slice of pie, and were halfway back to our car when they came out and asked if wed like the slice to go! Most places wouldnt have done that. (The berry pie was excellent, too!) Ill definitely be going back the next time Im passing through.

My ate suggested this place once and I ate just a basic cheeseburger but this taste didnt compare to anything else Ive had in CA or anywhere else for that matter. When I had visited the owner was working I believe and gave me a portion of spare fries he had leftover. Great food, great service, great family feel. My favorite spot for a nice juicy burger.

The gold City Grill has very good tableside service. They have a basic American menu for breakfast lunch and dinner. I ordered the shrimp dinner off of the special $9.99 dinner menu. The shrimp was delicious and I had a choice of desert and two side dishes. I like the gold City Grill because it is cozy and comfortable. Check out their specials.

I ordered a cheese burger and a western burger with season fries and they didnt even give me the cheese burger. They cut out half the orser and the lady on the phone who read my order back to me was very rude un her tone and way of speaking. She read it back lerfectly then when i webt to get it there was no cheese burger. .5/10 fml

I have been coming here for years and have always received friendly service and good food at a fair price. I have five kids, so we are not an easy group to service. I have never felt like I was a bother. I have a lot of great memories here. Thanks guys!!!

Never knew the name of this place, was always referred to as the "Cow on Roof" to most people. Great Food. Au Jus sandwhich, Amazing Chicken, and Must try breakfast plates. Always looking for a reason to go to Oroville to stop by Cow on Roof.

Gold City Grill has excellent food, and a great staff. I havent got a single item here that I havent enjoyed. I especially like their boasted chicken, and the pies are always a great option for dessert.
