Petty Thieves.. I will explain later in review Food is just OK but service is really horrible. People at the counter has We Dont Care kind of attitude. I never liked this restaurant because of this reason. We were planning birthday celebration for my Son and wanted to be in Plano. Unfortunately we did not find any other Indian restaurant with banquet hall in area other than Bawarchi. So we had to reserve it. They have minimum 50 guest policy, we were going to have only 30 but they did not negotiate their prices. We reserved it only 4 days prior to the party. Till that time no one had booked it. I guess they were fine even if it is empty but did not want to negotiate. Food was tasteless. Some of my friends mentioned the quality is not great compared to what they had eaten in past. I also hated the food. After we cut the birthday cake, we gave it to waiters cut the rest and serve it to all people. I came to know later that many guests did not get the cake. We wanted to keep cake decoration toys as souvenir. Bawarchi people never gave it to me despite asking multiple times. During party I had taken out my sons Jacket and put it on side on stage. After all guests left, I started packing stuff. My wife reminded to take the jacket from side stage. I thought I will take it at last and I forgot. I paid all money with gratuity/tip and came back home. At home, I remembered about Jacket. So I called Bawarchi and they said, if anything is left we will keep it aside. I said fine I will come and pick it up in evening. I went to Bawarchi Hall to pick it up. Person working their asked me to wait and went to call Manager. Manager did not come for 15-20 min, I got irritated and went to restaurant counter. He was there talking on phone. Once he finished conversation, he tells me he did not find anything. He said he was present in the hall for 2 hours after I left and nothing was there. It is not at all possible as I had seen it just before I left. I argued 5-10 min. He was adamant and not ready to listen. I have no choice but to post this review so that other people can learn.

Very very poor service! So they dont tell you that you can sit down and someone will serve you, no signs, and no mention from the clerk. We ordered some items that we could clearly see were available and paid for it, after which we are told that for dine in we can sit down, after ordering and paying. We sit down, wait about 30 minutes for the server to pick up ready made food, put it in a plate, and give it to us. We inquire about our order and the guy comes back 10 minutes later and gives us one thing we ordered out of 6. Afterwards, we were told they got mixed up and thought it was to go and magically, everything we ordered is out, even though we paid for it. The server gives us replacements, which are all stale and not fresh. The dosa we had came out cold, so we demanded a fresh one, after others get theirs first, we finally get our dosa So all in all, we waited about 45 minutes to an hour for nothing we ordered, except for the chai and dosa, which you really have to try hard to mess it up.

Its a little crowded place, especially during lunch break time. There is a big wait line but owners of that location did something smart. If the line is too big they will invite guests to sit in their banquets area which is less crowded. Kudos. Service is too slow, we had to wait about 40 minutes to get our food, one of my friends is Indian and he described it as 100% authentic. Portions were generous, fresh and really tasty. Our waitress served us just water, we had to ask ice as water was well... Not cold, jars and glasses were of plastic, but dishes and cutlery was nice, clean and made of metal. Our food was served in real Indian dishes. Fairly priced, we all felt satisfied however I wont recommend this place if you are on a tight lunch break time as the wait was too long, courtesy is amazing but service is too slow. Probably a good place to go after work, with family perhaps, of course mind its a very spicy kind of cuisine, not adapt to young or sensible tongues.

Stay Away from this place... if you order little early in the evening, they give you food from yesterday and by the time you have it, its already spoiled... this has ruined my get-together.. and I am not the only one complained, I head from my friends as well.. When we ask about the same.. they simply ask to bring it back... I dont understand what they think.. so when u are having the food, you came to know it is bad, and you already spent time in trip to get the food and now you have to take it back to prove them and you get other one... common.. we are not there to provide unnecessary business for them and whist time and money... Any ways for the money you pay.. there are really better options than this place.. this place is screwed up.. I use to be fan of this place.. but not it is totally opposite.. Only way to teach them a lesson is to stay away from them.. STAY AWAY......people....

I would say, this Bawarchi improved a bit off late. Around 3-4 months back I found that the Biryani was missing after I got home. Well....actually, what I got was not what I ordered on phone. Today, I made sure I am taking what I ordered before paying. I was still betrayed; realized after going home that, I got the Biryani but with plenty of bones with very less meat. Looks like they believe, loosing few customers does not harm their business. I may not go there again and/or recommend this place any more. Even if I let go their poor and reckless customer service, they cant cheat me on value for money. Similar experience with my other order; Chilli paneer . This is actually hilarious; it was just a mix of hard paneer, fresh from refrigerator, few pieces of Jalapeño ...just raw....with lots and lots of tomato ketchup.

The food is alright, but the ambience and the service is quite horrible. The last the we were there for dinner, they were play some sick movie on their two tvs...there was crying, wailing and all that nonsense going on. I guess now Im in the mood to enjoy my dinner you killjoy. And the service...is quite horrible. This place should be more like self serve canteen like they have back in india. They say free wifi and no one gives u the owe for wifi. Lemme add one more thing about the ambience. When u enter the restaurant, u feel like u r the superman entering the phone booth. Why the bloody hell do u guys have the freaking Vonage booth in your restaurant? Im here to have a meal, not to make a long distance call. Common sensae leedu....pucca idiots running the joint.

My rating to this place is 0 if I had an option and its because of their customer service . I called this place . The guy took the phone . He kept me on hold and started taking orders from others . After a good 10 minutes he started talking . He took my order. I repeated the order and he confirmed its placed . I drew a good 20 minutes to reach the place and started after 45 minutes of order . There was no order and the guy said me the item which I had ordered is not there any more . Either I need to buy chicken instead of mutton or refund can be done . He said that he cannot make the item which I ordered because its busy hours. How can be so rude when the order was placed . Money paid and no item to deliver . Guys out there if you want rude behavior this is the place to be
