I lived in Korea 6 continuous years and have been to a dozen different Korean restaurants in the states. Most are shockingly bad despite being run by Koreans. This one is pretty good, not spectacular, but pretty damn good. A HUGE plus is that the entire menu has pictures included. The spice is JUST RIGHT even for watered down midwest tastes, the kimchi is fine. Service spot on and even the white server guy said 감사합니다, just right. The cook is a thorough bred Korean. I spoke too him in the dining room. Kind and caring to a fault, and he seemed to like it when I barked korean at him. Oh yea, and the non korean asian waiter (likely chinese), was so cute that I tried eating my food as seductively as possible as a means to get her number... It didnt work... Im largely joking here. Anyways. I highly recommend you go here ONCE, and recommend you go TWICE, and if you like what you ate one of those two time then I suggest you go a THIRD time.

I guess I should give it 5 stars since its the ONLY korean restaurant in Milwaukee, however there is always room for improvement! Ive been eating Korean most of my life, so I consider myself Picky (sorry). However, this restaurant is REALLY GOOD! The selection is good, location is great and the staff are very helpful and kind! Ive been there 3 times, 2 times recently and both times I ordered the "whole chicken mixed with ginseng and dates stuffed with rice" there were "out". I understand this meal is difficult to make and VERY time consuming, but if not available... cross it out of the menu! Hmm... kimchi and raddish very good and BBQ Meat was above average as well. This place is geared more for the "american" crowd trying korean for the first time I think (NOT A BAD THING!). However, lets keep some tradition in there too!

Adorable little place on Damon. The decor had me as soon as I walked in. You order at a cashier and seat yourself at either a large community table or a few smaller tables for 2-4. No alcohol, but a large assortment of Korean beverages are available. We ordered the Bibi bap and the Maratha tacos. Bibi m bap was good- like the other reviews say, lots of fresh veggies, but no crispy rice. The Maratha tacos were SO GOOD! Definitely recommend those if youre going for the first time.Overall- casual, quick spot for a delicious lunch or dinner. Reasonably priced and good food!!

I love this place! My first experience was a pleasant and welcoming one. The spicy rice cake was delicious and I love that they had dumpling mixed it. The barbecue pork cutlets were good and provide us with many side dish. Available parking lot so its so convient that you dont have to waste half an hour to find parking. The cheft evn came out to greet us to see how we liked the food and provided us with more side dishes. I love how considerate the staff and owner was.

I enjoyed the good service and the food. Ive eaten here before and will again. This time two of the banchan and the main dish were too salty for my taste, so they lost a star. Update: Came back and had the soondoobu jigae. Banchan were on point, and so was the service. They earned back their star! Fyi, I dont know why a reviewer said they dont have alcohol. They definitely do-- they just have a separate menu for it.

It was a little smelly, very small, and felt a little dirty in this restaraunt. We sat down and ordered. I ordered spicy squid bowl. My other friends got their food within a reasonable amount of time. But I was waiting for mine for at least 45 minutes. Then I asked the waiter where my food was. He said the kitchen forgot about my food and that theyll make it right away. Very inconsiderate. I dont know if Id go again.

Owner is super friendly and is there all the time!( He cooks) Most of the waitstaff are pretty nice and on top of things. One guy in particular is superb, though I forgot his name!( Hes a tall while guy). Food is delicious! I love the hot pot! The duk appaitizer is quite good too, as well as the kimqi pancake! This place beats stone bowl anyday of the week! Though less fancy, it has better food and people!:)

My girlfriend and I, who are both korean, were very greatful to find a korean restaurant in milwaukee. the lunch buffet was small, but still pretty authentic. the food was fresh and hot. The dinner menu is quite large, with a lot of variety. The service was great, and wait staff was very friendly. we love this little restaurant, and will be visiting quite often!

We went to Sanford for my husbands birthday dinner. We had the "surprise tasting menu" with wine pairings. The atmosphere is very European and the service was extremely professional. Our server explained all the courses as he brought them and the same for the wine. The food was all excellent. If you want a special evening this is the place to go.

Great little hole in the wall place. Try to come in off hours since there is only waiter Working at any time. He gets overwhelmed really easily since hes the only one taking orders and stuff. Hes still a great waiter. The head chef is also super friendly and sometimes he delivers the food out to you. Good place to catch a meal.

I prefer this Korean Restaurant than the other one. Even though its not as fancy as the other one, the food there is delicious and there are more options to choose from. The chef there is very nice and very outgoing. I recommend for people to try B5 (samgyeopsal), which is pork belly, its my all time favorite.

The food is great. It is unfortunate that they no longer serve their lunch buffet. Now that its a dinner only establishment, I probably wont get the opportunity to go as often. But I do think anyone who want to go there for a night out should. The service has always been good and the ambiance is relaxing.

I prefer this restaurant over any in Chicago or even Korea. I think it has to be one of the best in the midwest. The small dishes are varied and excellent. The Korean beef is a dish to be experienced. The owner is very nice and often comes out to check with customers on their desires. A must try!

Ive gotten their bbq (Sutbul Kalbi) everytime Ive gone here, and it always hits the spot. Top it with some of their kimchi, and youre made. Also, my dad has gotten the charred octopus, which was very tender and flavorful.

Dont trust the take-out always check before you pay. They wont own up to their mistakes. Nothing is worse than getting home and not having the food you ordered. That was my last take-out order with them.

I have been looking for a good Korean restaurant for ages and finally found one! Great authentic food and the kimchi reminds me of my aunts cooking (she is Korean). Looking forward to my next visit!

It is OK. Nothing really stands out. And it is expensive! I have come with some of my Korean friends, and they said it was not real Korean food and they would not eat there again.
