(Edit) Over the past year, I have come to this particular Waffle House thrice. And, oh how it has been different every time. My first experience has wonderful, (aside from the fact the kitchen had more workers than clients) the waiter even referred to a member in our group as "Good Sir." The second time, was, well, not as desirable. We arrived at 7 PM expecting a quick meal, but, boy, were we wrong. Robbie was on shift with one of his coworkers. While he was trying to prepare our food and serve us, his high coworker could only talk to his equally (or more) high girlfriend. While waiting for our food, the girlfriend took at least 3 shifts going outside to smoke whilst staring with dead eyes into the restaurant. On our third trip, one year later, the management has seemed to improved, and Robbie served us again. He should get a raise. In conclusion, the Waffle House is adequate for breakfast, but take caution going there when the sun is starting to set. (Previous one star review) Chain restaurant? More like chain smokers. The workers were high while attempting to serve us, and when we finally got our food (1hr later) not even a simple hamburger could be properly assembled. And, the highlight of the trip, when a member of our group went to the bathroom, an employee came out, then rushed back in, only to flush drugs down the toilet, and, not to mention, didnt wash his hands. The employees didnt have any sort of sanitary measures, no gloves or hair nets at all; and quite honestly Im surprised the Waffle House hasnt been condemned already. But, if you love unsanitary conditions, the better chance of getting food poisoning, and waiting 50+ mins for stoned workers to get it together, Id highly recommend this to you.

My experience at this Waffle House is probably different than most since I worked here for a few months. I can say that from first hand accounts that not all food safety measures are followed, the cooks dont regularly wash their hands, and bad or spoiled food is used. If I wanted a good sanitary breakfast I would go up the road to Chicks Diner. A big part of going out to eat is a friendly staff and good customer service. You would get the friendly staff part anytime the owner Dorothea Jam is not there. She runs the restaurant half assed and then when things pop up she will blame the staff and others. She is ignorant and does not care about any of the good people that work for her. She will yell, scream, harass, and discipline you on the floor and in front of paying customers. If you love the Waffle House and are used to their food it will taste the same as other locations but there is a chance youll get sick from it, and there is a chance you will be eating in an unfriendly and unwelcoming environment.

If I could give it 0 I would. This establishment is filthy. Not only the building, but the employees as well. I ate here after a concert and left my debit card. I called to make sure they had it and they said they did so I drove in to get it. Upon arriving they told me that they cant get the card out of their safe because the manager that has the key is asleep and isnt answering his phone. I have now been waiting over an hour for my card with no other form of money and they will still not get the manager in to open the safe. All the while I am waiting I have to listen to the childish employees yell at each other and throw food on the ground. They cant even offer me a coffee or anything while I wait on their manager to wake up and come in for his customers needs. Most outrageous place Ive ever been.

Horrible experience! Im usually very understanding, especially when you go to a place that is in the middle of a morning rush, but the service here was absolutely horrible. When we asked if we can order, after sitting for 20 minutes, the waitress just laughed, said yes and walked away! We waited another 10 minutes, then just left in disgust! The place was filthy, eggs were left out at room temperature, they werent wearing gloves when preparing the food and the floor was horrendous. Multiple violations. A health inspector would have a field day in this place! Do not go here! I promise it wont be a good experience. Save the aggravation and find somewhere else to go. I love the Waffle House, but not this one. Its the worst!!! Corporate needs to go to this place to witness it for themselves.

The food was awesome. This was the first time me or my wife ate a Waffle House and we where both impressed with the food and our waitress was great. There was very unfortunately a waitress that was working on people from the other side of the restaurant that kept coming over to our side talking to another worker that was on break. This other waitress name was Annarose and she was very unprofessional. Always talking about her other job at Buffalo Wild Wings. She was so loud that it made the experience really bad. I cant believe that she is allowed to talk that way and so loud around customers at this establishment. Thanks for the great food but maybe you should offer earplugs so the experience doesnt get ruined.

I was excited because I thought it would be a specialty place like IHOP but for waffles. I was wrong. I ordered a chocolate chip waffle and hash browns with cheese. The waffle was as thin as a pancake and nothing special. I think an Eggo would have been more appealing. I tried eating my hash browns and they almost fell off my plate because they were burnt into a disc. They also used a square slice of cheese which didnt even cover the hash browns all the way. I was expecting shredded cheese. On top of that, the manager (Im assuming) was literally hosing down the floors and she sprayed some water on us/our food. Disgusting. Never coming here again or any other Waffle House for that matter.

The food was what you expect at a waffle House. The eggs, well done hash browns with onions, the pecan waffle (with the spread) all great.... I have been to Waffle Houses all over the South and it is always a great experience. Here in Scranton it is the service that was more then lacking.... I sat at the counter and waited a full 5 minutes before I was even greeted... every other Waffle House you are greeted as soon as you walk through the door. Here in Scranton I had to wait for coffee even after I was asked if I wanted a refill and it was not because they had to brew it... 3 servers 5 tables and 1 person at the counter and they were in the weeds.... sad very sad!!!!

This review has nothing to do with the servers here. I could tell the woman that was serving me was new, and in training. I feel she did a very professional job, and she was very polite. My issue is more with the pricing of the product. I paid over $10 for a breakfast sandwich and large coffee. I looked at the pickle menu afterwards and realized they had an extra 10% on just because youre getting it to go. They say its to go towards the servers who are preparing it. Well who was going to prepare it if I stayed there and ate? I think this is ridiculous.
