Food was very good as usual but I have to say that our service was horrible! Our server was nice enough but lacked training as well as common sense. During our 45 minute stay I was told I wasnt allowed to sub a small amount of coleslaw for the steak fries, coffee was not refilled (the table next to us had to shout for him to refill theirs, again he walked right by us with a full coffee pot? He didnt check back to ask how things were after starting our meal. He walked by several times not paying attention to our table or the one next to us. We sat for quite a while before he finally realized that we might be done, asked me if I wanted a box, came back with the box and our check.....never asked us if we wanted any thing else and never said Thank you for coming - not a word! Just placed the check on the table and walked away. We watched him doing absolutely nothing but chatting with the other employees the entire time we were there. When paying our bill, the girl asked how everything was so we told her that the food was good but the service was horrible. She said that they were in shift transition so thats probably why the service was bad.......it was 1:45 pm! Does that mean the staff can only be friendly and professional during certain times? That was a bad answer. We arent usually the type to complain, but when the service is that bad, I feel you should know so you can properly train your staff. Ive done a lot of serving in the past and most of what happened today only takes common sense.

Never again, it only gets one star because there is no option for zero. --Mediocre food at an absurdly high price. My GF got a burger - for $7 bucks its not a big sandwich by any means (maybe 5 to 6 oz) and it only comes with chips. They allow a discounted upcharge of $1.99 to add fries. Plus they adamantly refused to cook it less than well-done. Apparently the owner thinks that a little pink in the middle is the same as raw My chicken steak was $9.20 (again only with chips) but for some reason they dont allow the same $1.99 "upgrade" for the fries for that sandwich-you have to pay full price if you want them. So a whopping $13.00 for an average sized sandwich- could have gone elsewhere and bought a full dinner for that. The only good thing is that the server was as attentive and helpful as he could be considering he was new. Everything is more reasonably priced and of much better quality at the Douglassville Hotel-- we dine out often and thats where well be spending our money when staying local.

Moved here to Pottstown one year ago from West Chester, PA, and was very excited to find a place with good food, good prices, thats close to my house-- this is not the case now. Every time I go to eat in-house our service is totally lacking and it takes about 20 minutes just to flag down the staff for a drink refill. It once took the whole 45 minute meal to get a milkshake that was ordered immediately. So I figured delivery might be the option to avoid the hassle. The prices have gone up on everything also (which I wouldnt mind, but...)-- you wont even get a lousy .25 cent bag of chips with a burger on delivery, but youll pay the same price as if you ordered it in the restaurant. So disappointing-- glad to be moving back to a place where I can get a burger AND fries and not have to spend close to $13 for whats essentially diner food at restaurant prices.

A couple of friends have been recommending me to this place for a while now, and I finally decided to order there for my family yesterday. I ordered the Ice hose pizza, a cheese steak, wings, and mozzarella sticks . Overall the food was great, but the only thing that really turned me off was the skimming of my pizza toppings. I really cant stand establishments that does that ,especially where their food is worth paying for. They are places where their pizza is not so great but you can actually see the toppings.

The food for the most part is reasonably priced and the in house service is good, HOWEVER the pizza is outrageously priced. Almost 5 dollars more for a plain pie compared to other locals, and NO DEALS. I just need to be reminded why ordering from ice house is worth it when it cost roughly 15-20 more for a group order than at other places, and dont forget you need to tip(at least i do) Bring back the cheese cake. Drop the pie prices and maybe ill be back. Just to be clear, its good food.... Not better.

Where I work, many guest who are unfamiliar with the area ask "Wheres a good place to eat?" I telll them: The Ice House Deli on the corner has the best cheese steaks, pizza, and dinners in the area. And they will deliver to your room. Everyones eyes light up at the words "Cheese Steaks". Out of Staters who never had one before, have their first from Ice house. I NEVER recomend something I dont believe in. Delivery is always fast and food is hot. I always order extra cheese on my Cheese Steak :)

I love this place. I live just down the street and I order and pick up all the time. The staff is so very friendly and I love that you can grab a 6 pack with your pizza. ALL the food is amazing. The sandwiches, salads, WINGS (sweet & hot are to die for), wraps, PIZZAs, appetizer, EVERYTHING. Ive tried it all and its all good. You can hop in and sit in the diner, take out, or have it delivered. The Peguin bucks are super too. Who doesnt love a free pizza now and then. LOVE IT!

Tried to go there for lunch between games at a baseball tournament. Walked in at 1145, too late for breakfast, no problem. No one even talked to us for 10 minutes. I asked if someone was coming to help, nothing. Finally, 15 minutes after sitting, a waitress came to help. Then she tells us it will be 20 minutes to convert the kitchen from breakfast to lunch. Sheesh, thanks for nothing. We left.

Wayyyyyy to treat out of towners... the lady on the phone was extremely rude and made me feel like crap for even dialing the number.. Gave her my phone number so she could call back and confirm and the miserable woman never called back... absolutely terrible customer service... I wish there was a button lower than zero.. we also told 6 other hungry guests to order elsewhere...

First time here and the service was exceptional. Waiter immediately noticed the drinks we ordered were watered down so immediately changed it. Food was great. I had a hoagie and my son had some Pizza and fries. My bread was not hard which is usually my issue with some places. Its clean and a good setting. Will be eating here again and wouldnt mind bringing clients here.

Great food at reasonable prices wether it be for take out, delivery or sitting down to eat in their newly remodeled restaurant style seating area. They have yet to get an order wrong and I believe its one of the greatest casual places to eat in Pottstown and although I normally have it delivered, in all aspects It has never detracted from the quality of food they serve.
