Manager greeted us at door, he was nice. But, it took 40 minutes to get food and we were the 1st in the door when it opened. Our bill was crazy expensive ! $7 for a small thing of guacamole which was full of onions and tasted off and they only gave you a few very over-salted chips to eat it with.We ordered a shrimp skillet for $16, only 4 shrimps, mostly onion and green peppers, we ordered also an Ultimate skillet for another $16, barely any meat, all peppers and onions again. The beans and rice had no flavor what so ever, tasted like air. They need to season better and put cilantro in for flavor. Then the waitress took forever with the bill bc she was to busy playing on her cell phone. Not a good mothers day dinner at all. Then when the bill came and i saw we paid nearly 100 bucks for gross food i couldnt believe it. No wonder there were no cars in the parking lot.----Update, we put a complaint in and was given $40 gift coupons to try again. This time we tried the beef brisket tacos and they were good. The chips were not overly salted, and the guacamole was much better. The manager also apologized and was very nice. So even though they messed up the 1st time, the made it right. And the food was much better second time around. Original score on here was a 1 star, after today i have to say its a 4 star.

My Wife, 3 kids, and I sat to eat here with friends on 01/16/16. They sat us 7 right next to the entrance where we got a gust of freezing air every time the door was opened. food took a long time to roll out, it seemed that my crying infant couldnt move them any faster to cook 3 corn dogs. they should have put a block of salt on the table for us to lick like cows cuz thats how great the tortilla chips are and finding our server would have been quicker if we had a picture of her to put on a milk carton. 130$ for 4 adults and 3 kids at a place like this was steep, but hey it was our first time. For our great bravery my 3 kids and i got food poisoning (stick to the greens and youll survive it like my smart wife). throwing up all night, body aches, fever, and the house has been smelling like a sewage tank for the past 2 days. we were in bed all day yesterday, oh and now i need to take a PTO cuz i cant even laugh without debilitating body aches. So i call them to share my experience and notice other reviews that have similar issues on the way and this is the answer i got: after a couple questions about the food i ordered they proceeded to ask me for my address so they could send me a coupon for next time.... im not kidding, next time!? "on the border" , its a double meaning.

My family and I visited this restaurant and we were not given a table, even though the restaurant was half full. We told them that we were in a hurry and would not stay long, thats why we got there at 5:15. They still would not help us because we were less than 8. So, if you are running with more than 4, this place will make you wait even if they are half empty. We went next door to Longhorn and (unlike on the Border) the host was friendly and helped us find a table. The ribs were great and my family enjoyed the experience.

lets not just talk about the food, lets talk about the rude ass manager that thought he owned the place... and he wasnt even the General Manager.. He was a piss ant of a manager... Oops did I say that.. Ya I did... Grow up and treat customers like they were your family... like you grandma or grandpa.. My god.. I cant believe they let people like him work for a company... I would of fired him on the spot if I was the General Manager... Will NEVER enter this restaurant ever again because of him...

I was here on a Monday afternoon was bit unsure as i saw too many recent bad reviews about wait times but we are the only ones literally when reached, waiter greeted us at reception asked to choose a place started with drinks and got some complimentary salsa n chips, we ordered guac we didnt realize the fact each cost freaking 7$ which i felt was pricy, but entries are so worthy, fajitas are sizzle n tangy beans tasted good tortillas are soft all together ended up with 100$ bill for four.

Ordered takeout online got to restaurant early got my food quickly but when I get my car all of the food is cold I order fajitas the peppers onions and chicken were cold the rice and beans room temp I dont understand how the food is cold and I got there 15 mins before the online time to pick up worst experience Ive had with this restaurant also first server was rude while the gentleman that served second was nicer can only give two stars because food was cold even when I came early

This place screams authentic fun Mexican food. From the outside of the building to the decorations and atmosphere inside. Unfortunately all that fun authentic screaming is overshadowed by overpriced diner-style Mexican dishes. All the food cones out spicy but only tastes like hot sauce. Its as if they dont season their food at all. The service is spectacular, if only they could make food to match. Big disappointment every time we come.

My friend and I sat at the bar for margaritas and apps. The margs were more like drinking fruit punch, doubt there was any alcohol in them at all except for the 3rd one which we were told would be an additional $1.39 for an "extra" shot. The grande nachos tasted like an entire salt shaker was dumped on them and the bartender couldnt have acted more put out whenever we had a request. $80+ total for a very negative experience.

Food was barely mediocre and worth much less than the $100 check. On top of this the service was extremely poor. I dont know if they just dont have enough employees, or if our waiter was just incompetent. He did a horrendous job serving my family. Hopefully they turn things around and soon, for their own sake; but my family and friends will not be going back there anytime in the future.

Sunday night 3/19/17 around 8:45pm went for late night dinner with the family. We was waiting for like 5-8 minutes no one came up for us to be seated. I look over at the bar area & they saw us then seated us. Order our food, once the food came out my food wasnt hot. I have gotten food poison from the food. I wont be coming back here with my family.

Excellent service , Waits are completely expected for places like these. Make the most out of your visit while youre there , Staff are incredibly patient. We thought there would be terrible food but that wasnt the case You should totally come here if you feel hungry and you have no food

First order was take-out and second in the dining room. Very nice wait staff - helpful and friendly. The food was really delicious, and the salsa was so good that people were ordering more to take home with them. Colorful festive atmosphere. Prices very reasonable. Plan to return often!
