I usually dont leave "negative" reviews because I know how the stress of running a business can be, but at some point this place became really inconsistent with their customer service. The average order came up to $60-$80 plus tips frequently because Id have multiple people ordering every time and im located no more than 4 minutes from their location. Over the course of a few months the quality of food has gone down the drain, there is ONE cook that actually cooks the food and it actually taste great! Think they call him "Country" awesome cook! Now I "attempt" to order food ONLY when he is there. Which leads me to the customer service which has been suffering, id call and be placed on hold for 10 minutes and no one would answer because they dont want to take the order or just simply negelecting to do their job, 10 minutes on hold to take an order? unacceptable! After awhile I just got tired of waiting and hung up, I guess my $60 order wasnt worth the time. I suggest they get better management because whoever is over this circus right now isnt holding their staff accountable for the ridiculous wait times and lackadaisical behavior, its literally costing this business money... I used to enjoy the food and service on a consistent basis, now Im sorry to say its more hit or miss than ever. Hope they get it together soon.

I really wish I could write a good review about Tallahassees California Chicken restaurant. Up until yesterday, my husband and I were loyal customers. We would dine in and order food for delivery, always left a good tip, and had no issues until yesterday when we ordered dinner. We were told that the food would be delivered in about an hour (as usual) and went ahead and paid for our food with our debit card. Right at an our after when made our order we received a call from the "delivery manager" saying that they would not deliver to our home because we were located outside of their delivery area. We tried to explain that we have had food delivered to us on countless occasions and no one ever said that we were outside of the delivery boundary, but the delivery manager continually interrupted my husband by saying "Sorry, but its policy". He was incredibly unprofessional and rude. We called back to try to speak to the store manager who was just as rude, interrupting, and unapologetic. So at 9:00 at night after paying $35 for our food and waiting for an hour just to get a un-remorseful phone call saying that our food would not be delivered, nor will they ever deliver here in the future, was very upsetting to say the least. Good food, terrible customer service, terrible management.

This is going to be the most informative & truthful review youve read thus far. I actually probably wouldnt patronize them if Tallahassee had more options but I end up eating here at least twice a week. PROS: Theyre virtually the only place to deliver up till 3am. Their food options are much healthier than other fast food places. The veggies are steamed perfectly. The portion size is decent if youre eating for a normal person. Food is delivered rather quickly and fresh. The brownies and cookies are as perfect as Christ. CONS: The customer service is despicable (about Wal-Mart and McDonalds level.) Theyre constantly changing their minds about policies, methods of payment accepted, acceptable delivery zones etc. The wait time for pickup will make you realize you shouldve went somewhere else. The place needs a facelift based on the money they bring in. FINALLY, worst of all....when you get food delivered, the cardholder and the card have to both be present. Not exactly college town friendly since many students use bfs, gfs, sugar daddies, roommates cards etc. when ordering food. Bottom line...they need to up their game but its not a deal breaker if youre hungry.

This is an honest review. The food is OK. I wont say its "amazing" or "great". Just OK. Its really a hit or miss some days. Their chicken breast are almost ALWAYS dry, never tender and juicy (you can even see the dryness in the photos people post online or on their website). The grilled wings are made fresh per order so those are good. To be honest, if you order over the phone for delivery, expect an 1-2 hr wait. Usually your food arrives around the 1hr 45 min mark. I have had to call several times in the past to inquire about the status of my order because of the extended delivery times. I dont know why it takes so long if the wings only take 15 minutes to cook but unfortunately, long delivery times have become the norm for them over the years. If you want your food sooner, I suggest buying take out and check your bags before you leave because sometimes they do mess up your order. The convenient part is that they are one of the few Tallahassee restaurants that open until 3 am so they remain popular with college students.

I have been eating here for over 3 years now and I will be sad to have to leave it next year when I graduate and move away. I want to harp about how boss the wings are or how I am literally addicted to the chicken ceasar wrap but the truth is, all of the food from this place is awesome. The girls that work there are always friendly and helpful when I am ordering. And they just got a bunch of new desserts in like peanut butter pie and key lime pie = ) My mouth is watering just thinking about it! The decor inside the place could be improved, but they recently finished remodeling the upstairs outside and it has such a romantic feel to it in the evenings that I just love. This place is definitely worth checking out if you have never gone before. Oh and last but not least, the smoothies..... they are better than tropical smoothie. Seriously you have to try one! I have tried them all but my favorite is the strawberry, peach, mango with a little extra sugar. SO GOOD!!

I ordered wings thinking since they advertise them heavily, they must be good. Well they were horrible. I wondered why it took them 25 mins to cook ten wings in an empty restaurant, but once I got them I understood. "Grilled" does not mean blackened and these were cooked to the point of being carbonized. I had to peel off the top layer of all the wings because it was like eating charcoal only to find some ridiculously greasy meat below. With half the wing gone from being over cooked and the remainder like eating a grease trap I only made it half-way through the batch. When I talked to the server about it she told me "thats just how they are" and the manager basically told me to deal with it and made sure to mention because I ate five I couldnt ask for my money back. The other food there may be good, but crappy wings and crappier service made sure Ill never go back.

Ive never eaten there until last night because it was the site of my favorite wing place years ago which was Buffalos American Grill. After they closed down CCG opened up there. Tonight was very pleasurable. The hot sauce was a little spicy which I liked. Customer Service was great. Im not a fan of tip sharing or socialism though. The employees split tips. The purpose of tipping is rewarding service received. If employee A and B split tips, they both receive equal even though employee B could be less deserving. The racism remarks of AA is ironic considering the majority of the employees I saw tonight would be classified as AA. Service was great imo.
