This has long been one of my favorite restaurants to grab lunch with friends, but I just discovered how perfect it is for group celebrations. My Son graduated from High School last Saturday, and we wanted a place to have a luncheon with extended family before we headed to the ceremony. They let us bring in a few balloons to put on the table, set up small gift boxes at the place settings, and really make it special for our son. We made our reservation for 2:30 so it would be a bit less full, and our large party wouldnt disturb the small groups of 2-4 people that generally duck in for a quiet lunch (though I think it would have been fine any time). It was like having the place almost to ourselves. Its a small and intimate set up for lunch so even if all of the other tables had been full we still would have had a private feel. The staff made it a lovely lunch that our family will never forget. The food was wonderful, the service superb, and the atmosphere charming. For about $10-14 (+drink prices) a person you are treated to a wonderful lunch in a historical resort, with a piano player whos talents help you lull into a relaxing afternoon over wonderful food, beverages, and people you love . I have never thought of bringing groups here before because it is so intimate, but now I see thats why they are perfect for celebrations like ours! Im almost afraid to share how great Alcazars is for fear it will become harder to get a table, but they deserve the praise. P.S. I see why so many people have wedding receptions here in the evening! Im sure that the rate is higher, but if its run by the same staff they use during lunch would be well worth it. The space has such a feel of time, history and family/friends celebrating there it just seems perfect. We will definitely keep this in mind when our Daughters big days come.

Unfortunately, we have never gotten to eat here. A couple of weeks ago we drove to the area and by the time we found a parking spot and walked all the way to the restaurant it was around 2:40 pm and they stop serving lunch at 3 pm. We decided to chance it anyway and went inside because we were so hot and hungry. We went in the very strange side entrance they have and made our way to the front where we stood waiting for someone to seat us, or even come tell us we were too late. Instead we stood there for several minutes and no one came and said anything to us. It was like we were invisible. Two waiters came right past us and said nothing. One guy looked over in our direction while he cleaned off a table and still nothing. People that were dining just stared at us from their tables while they ate. It was so embarrassing. If they would have come told us we were too late that would have been fine but to completely ignore us is rude and I dont think I will ever try to go back after being treated like that.

This place was absolutely amazing! My boyfriend had originally made reservations at Michaels Tasting Room for Valentines Day, however they made a mistake with our reservations and were rude and couldnt do anything to accommodate us. So we left and started searching for another place to dine, which as you can imagine was difficulty on Valentines Day, but we called this restaurant and they were able to seat us. Im so grateful for the service they provided because my boyfriend ended up proposing at the restaurant. They had a live pianist playing that evening and all the waiters were very professional and friendly. The food was great too! After our proposal, they brought us some chocolate covered strawberries. I definitely would recommend this place!

This restaurant is in a historic site, on what once was the largest pool in the US, now filled and paved. There is live piano music, and just for the architecture and history of it is well worth a visit. On top of that, food is refined and tasty. The artichoke pizza was amazing.

A wedding was being set up and a rude women felt she had to escort us out. I have been to the Breakers in Palm Beach many times, as my Grandparents winter home was there. I guess Flaglers pool staff (cafe)does not have Palm Beach Flaglers manors. Avoid at all cost

Great food! We were going to go there for brunch but it doesnt open till 11. So we did the Lightner Museum tour and that was fun as well. The food was well worth the wait and the cafe is in the middle of the building where the pool used to be!

Well on a beautiful September Monday afternoon heading down A1A we stopped at Caps on the water only to find it closed til 4pm The young lady that allowed us to view the venue suggested the cafe in the bottom of the Lighter Museum.

Tell your friends you ate in the deep-end of the pool - Seriously. Wonderful food and great choices, is a unique setting. Like eating in a cathedral. Great for lunch on a hot summers day. You will like it.

Excellent lunch in a location that many people dont know about. If you plan on going, try and make a reservation. Seating is very limited. The pizza and Cuban sandwich were both very good.

This is one of the historic buildings downtown. To think that the cafe is where the indoor pool is in the Lightner Museum, blows my mind. Definitely a must to check out
