I had dinner with another local friend. We were both blown away by the both the service and quality of the pre fix dinner. We each ordered a different item on the menus and shared all 6 courses. I dont know the last time we have had such a great dinner out that we could saver every bite. I can not wait to take other friends there with me to share a scrumptious meal. Far better than any place I have eaten in the Oregon Wine countrys defense we are locals.

My wife and I spent a weekend at Brookside Inn and were directed to this restaurant. It turned out that the owner/chef, Gilbert Henry, had owned Winterborne, one of Portlands finer restaurants and has come to Carlton for the slower pace. We had an excellent meal. The emphasis is on good French country fare. Its not over the top. We have since returned, had an equally great meal, and will be back again.

This is exactly how you would expect a small French bistro to be, and surprising to find it in small-town Oregon. Ridiculous awesome chocolate mousse, exceptional value for the price $28 prix fixe for three courses, and a charming, gallant and endearing owner/chef who often moonlights as the waiter, too.

Cuvee is a small restaurant with European style and a charming head waiter. The menu is professional and consistent, with personal flair. On a typical night, chef Gilbert will walk the floor in the dining area. The place has good food, great ambiance, and an unpretentious attitude.

I was expecting to enjoy this experience very much but I did not. The Salmon was overcooked and with a heavy cream sauce. The waiter was delightful and timely. The dessert and coffee were good. Salad had way too much salad dressing. Reasonably priced.

Our favorite date night place to go. The service is always personal and charming. The food consistently great, and the intimate environment cozy and comfortable, while adding a flair of panache. well Done!

The Chef / Owner was arrogant, and rude. The food was mediocre. The atmosphere- so so... The waiter was nice. (He was the only thing that was good about the place) Will not go back.

Menu unchanged for 5 years. Indifferent food quality prepared in a lackadaisical manner. Service/waiter was great. I agree with reviewer JJ completely.

Simply yummy! Great mellow atmosphere. Love the "Prixe Fixe" menu for the 3 course! Wonderful place to sit back and enjoy life. We will be back!

The food was amazing. I am seldom impressed by the food in most restaurants due to my own cooking ability, but I was truly impressed.

Gilbert Henry is entertaining and his food reminds me of a cozy French village restaurant!

For $28 for 3 courses this is a bargain given the quality of the food being put out
