Both me and my wife got sick after eating the food. Not from a food safety issue but rather I suspect using poor quality oils. The butter chicken was lacking in richness, tasted more like tomato paste and didnt seem to have any cream in it. The raita (yogurt) sauce was totally watery. I mentioned casually to the manager that I wasnt happy with the food and he laughed. Not going back. I used to go there more often about a year ago and the food seemed better then.

I had dinner at Ambrosia last night and it was my first time there and probably only the third time I have ever eaten Indian food. Funny because I live right across the street from this place. I thought the food was really good, the service was just fine and the ambiance decent. Although, looking out the window at a gas station isnt the most thrilling view. I had the chicken curry, rice and naan bread and it was delicious.

Sweet spot. Very nice ambiance & the food was really tasty. Couldnt make up my mind and was dining alone so tried the non-vege sampler. Loved the naan, the butter chicken was amazing in a very tasty creamy tomato sauce and the palak panner was great. The other dishes were also very good. Ill be back for sure. Really outstanding all around. And the chai, hot with no sweetening was the best Ive ever had...

The chutney papadum that is served as a free appetizer is delicious, the rest of the food was terrible. I got the Vegetarian Tali, none of the dishes were good, the samosas had no flavor at all, one dish tasted like ketchup and another like smoke flavoring. I would not recommend the vegetarian dishes here to anyone, I cannot speak for dishes with meat.

One of our favorite places in the county, and as good as the best Indian weve had anywhere in the world. Sometimes Indian places, esp w buffet, everything kinda tastes the same... not here! Love the Bindi - dry pan fried okra & onions, tangy and flavorful... and the Tandoori Basa is a fab piece of fish sizzling in light flavors... yummm.

We had the vegan baingan bharta masala...tandoori eggplant with cubed potatoes... It was a great dish, well prepared, hsd a wonderful taste...u wont b disappointed... Also we enjoyed the Dal lentil soup with spinach...again u will love it... The food and service was terrific... We will b again sometime this week!!!

The lunch buffet is good and priced fairly. However the food on the menu is not necessarily the best quality. For instance in the curry some of the vegetables are not fresh vegetables – rather they appear to be canned or frozen . The non-bread is good – though not great. They do make a very good chai.

being from India I found the food to be tasteless and very unimpressive. I spent over $60 to have a very bland experience. the workers are well dressed and then environment is nice but thats the only good thing I can say. Im clueless as to why this restaurant is rated so highly.

My friends had been raving about this place, so I finally went to check it out. I got the lamb tikka masala & my friend got rogan josh, & we were both very pleased! The naan was great too. Im planning on going back for the lunch buffet because Ive heard thats amazing.

Great lunch buffet. I like their naan especially. I like to go there for business lunches. U get ur food quickly, you do not get disturbed AND you get endless NAAN....I like the butter chicken reminds me of my moms pipian (mexican dish)

Best Indian food in the Santa Cruz area. My DH and I usually share the veggie sampler platter and add an order of chicken tikka masala. Yum!! We also love their lunch buffet. Served seven days a week!

Good Veg place - love the okra dish and the saffron rice. Great lunchtime buffet, too, and on the Wine List is a dry Gewurztraminer that goes well with spicy Indian food. Yum!
