I visited Cross Bay Diner around Halloween 2014 for the first time. All of the staff were dressed in costumes, which was really cute. The atmosphere was inviting and my french toast was tasty. The only real drawback was the service was super slow. At one point I signaled to my server that we were ready to order, mind you this was after sitting for a good 10 minutes. She stopped at the table said shed take our drink order and would come back for our food order, and this is even after telling her we were ready for our food order. Not quite sure what was going on, but my friend and I just sat there waiting for her to come back. I never give people who serve me food a hard time.

I was there yesterday around 630 pm I went with my family to eat and the waiter who sat us at booth number 5 before even greeting us told us check the prices on the menu before we order ??? Felt so discriminate why did he asked me to check the prices before I order maybe because Im Spanish ?? I got better treatment from the bus boy . I didnt want to make a seem at the place but never again will I spend a penny at this location. My bill was $120 but for me and my family to get treated this way wasnt needed never again will I step foot in this place . Worst treatment ever its a Greek restaurant maybe they dont like Spanish customers

My boyfriend and I came here for a date night in need of cheese and carbs, and this place did not disappoint. we enjoyed a delicious marinara pizza, baked ziti, and penne a la vodka (both with grilled chicken). Everything was delicious, even the bread that they served at the beginning. Our red wine was yummy, and the servers were quite attentive. The chef actually visited us halfway through our meal to ask us how it was going and thanking us for our visit. Furthermore, the pricing was great for such a lovely restaurant. We sat outdoors in their beautiful patio that was like a different world for a Queens restaurant.

The food here is pretty great. You can expect to not get lead down here, the staff is friendly and the place doesnt make you feel cramp at all. spending 35 for two was not bad at all, counting that I did get a beer. I got the mozzarella sticks which were freaking huge, its super delicious but I cant really talk the same about the sause that came with it, it was bland. But the burger that I got next picked up the experience , the Turkey burger with pepper jack cheese was also huge and full of love. The chefs here sure know how to make it right!

Well to start I enjoy the staff and service. The size portion you are served is good but for the price it should be. Another taste buds catcher is the desserts the Baker at the diner makes he does a fabulous job and the cheese cake is my favorite but just about all thats made here is perfect. If your hungry and dont mind a few min wait here and there because the place can fill up then this is where you wanta go.

Overlooking one of the hostesses who greets patrons with dirty looks (dearie, not all of us can look like Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie! LOL!), the food has always been exceptional. Unfortunately, the prices are exuberant: $1.75 for bitter-tasting soda, and $4.25 for sharing. Sidenote: Waterview Diner (the only other diner on Crossbay) is no longer. They recently went out of business.

I been to Cross Bay Diner a few times and every time they have delivered a meal worth waiting for! The diner is clean, the staff is friendly and the food is good! I have had burgers and fries, seafood, pasta, soup, salads and more and each time the dish was exactly what I expected. I highly recommend this diner to anyone hungry and in the area!

If there could be anything lower than 1 star that would be this place. Food is good service is terrible. Dont deal with Sandra she is unprofessional and unhelpful. We got a coupon and there policy is mandatory that tip is included 18% of original bill and no choice is given. So be careful if you have a coupon the savings you had are in the tip.

horrible food!! the coffee is watery and tasteless, hash browns are burned and not to mention your paying 2 dollars more for cheese! lets not forget my 2 omlette were over cooked. how do you mess up eggs??? yuck never will go back. I didnt even leave a tip. tucked at the back side of the diner is a out of sight out of mind area.

Hands down, my favorite diner of all time. The food is delicious and the service is great. I love coming here on the weekends for breakfast and ordering the Challah French Toast with fresh squeezed OJ. Another favorite of mine is the Chicken Tortellini. If you are ever in the neighborhood, I absolutely recommend you stop here.

Really enjoy this place; friendly staff, great good and dessert and is such a great atmosphere. I have eaten here for breakfast, lunch, and around midnight and the service is same, no matter what time it is! Really enjoyed their belgium waffles, whole wheat pancakes, french fries, and desserts (especially the red velvet)

The new management after hurricane Sandy is HORRIBLE. The most rude people I have ever deal with. On top of that, prices increased for the less food and no comments about the coffee...tasteless. Once I called to order for delivery and asked for the total and their response was "I have more people waiting". Never again!

Very inconsistent. Most of the food is delicious. They have delicious pastries and desserts. There are full dinner and lunch specials. The soups are delicious. Great burgers and other sandwiches. The service is usually good but sometimes, especially during lunch it is very slow. Coffee is delicious. Reasonably priced.

My girlfriends and I went here at 3a.m. after coming from a boat ride... the food was delicious... they had the cheeseburger deluxe. ..& I had hot wings and a salad... everything was delicious. .. I will definitely be going back to this diner.. but I must say, the food was a little pricey... but well worth it...

Im not a happy customer right now.. I ordered flounder stuffed with crab meat. Asked if it was stuffed with real crab meat or imitation. I was assured it was real crab meat. It was imitation crab meat, the stuffing was cold. The manager never came over to ask if the food was ok. The waiter was excellent.

Classico Diner, ovvero una via di mezzo tra una trattoria ed un fast food. Piatti di buona qualita e porzioni come sempre abbondanti

Have been here several times. The food is good but some dishes can be a bit pricey. Like the others say, service is good except when they are busy. We usually get seated immediately and rarely ever wait for a table of choice. I feel the service and food was much better before the re-opening.
