My husband and I have eaten at Fratelli dozens of times and we plan on eating there dozens more. The servers, bartender/manager and head chef/owner have always been courteous, attentive and accommodating. The establishment is clean and has a warm, friendly atmosphere. The portions are generous (weve never left hungry). Dinner menu prices are about the same as comparable sit-down Italian restaurants in the Baychester - Williamsbridge - Morris Park area. Weve called in orders to go numerous times as well (take-out style) and have never been disappointed. Our orders were always complete and ready for pick-up at the promised time, even on New Years Eve when they were packed to the hilt. Our only complaint is the small size of their parking lot, but there is ample street parking within a walking distance of one to two blocks so this is a very minor complaint that doesnt detract from my 5-star rating.

We went for lunch today. Mind you its the day After Christmas. We were the only ones there The server was entertained by a phone call he was taking. So I went to look for menus my self. Ok. Moving on. We ordered from the lunch menu which had decent specials $13 The servings were pretty good for light eaters. Thankfully we are. Overall the food was slightly salty. The sole lunch special was definitely frozen not fresh. The crabmeat was heavily breaded on the veal medallions. The salad was heavy on dressing but was free so cant really say much there. Coffee was tasty. Well come back because we hear great things and we want to be surprised and Delighted! The End

We ordered food to take out for Mothers Day. My daughter picked it up and when home we took it out of the bag and were missing ALL 4 of the side dishes. We had to drive back up to the restaurant to pick up the food. When home again we noticed there was no bread. And no receipt in the bag either. We dont even know if we were charged correctly. You would think they would have thrown in a dessert or appetizer for all the aggravation. Mothers Day is a busy day but thats no excuse for shoddy service. Our family has lived in the neighborhood for over 50 years and have frequented the restaurant but this was the last time.

For starters it took us 5 minutes just to get seated at a table. (The restaurant was empty) The food is average at best and the service was horrendous. The waiter barely paid any attention to us. We had to asked more than once for a refill of water not to mention that it took 25 minutes to get a diet coke. I think the entire time we were there I saw the waiter twice. The busboy did a better job at helping us than he did. I would not go back here again.

My Peter Luger salad was a unique, seemingly non-Italian salad, experience. Waiter said the name derived more from the sauce. This is a neighborhood locale I mean to make a return trip to.
