Great food, great service. The cheese platter we had an issue with. The cheese seemed very old and dry. The cheeses seemed as if they had been opened long ago and would recommend staying away from that dessert order, which we ordered for the table before our main courses. Other than the cheese platter everything was good. The fish was great, the pizzas were fabulous, the chicken wss delightful and the clam pasta was good. As for the desserts all were good,between all of us we tried all but 2 of them. The cappuccino was wonderful. The coffee and tea was good as well. Service 4☆ and food 3.8 ☆ . Had the cheese platter not been bad I would have given the food a solid 4☆s. I do not think the meal was worth the cost. They charge about $25 and up per meal and $10 to $17 for dessert. Coffee and cappuccino, espresso is $4 - $5. Full cost per person is $40-$55 for food and dessert. I feel the food just isnt good enough to justify the prices, but the food isnt bad at all. Just not good enough to warrant the cost.

Returned our fourth dinner and as usual it was awesome. I held our daughters shower here and received many compliments on the food and service. This most recent visit we met old friends from out of state. We had also met some other friends from out of state two months ago. Both couples could not say enough about the splendid food. The menu is extensive, specials tempting and the service first rate. You are never rushed from one course to another. If you want a special dinner out, and want to enjoy delicious food, make a reservation and enjoy. June 2007

I brought a large group here for dinner and was very dissapointed. The majority of the group ordered filet mignon which was a special on the night we visited this restaurant. The meat was not cooked to order (every ones was well done) and despite several guests sending their meals back to the kitchen the chef was unable to cook a steak medium. The owner was in the restaurant and never stopped over to say hi or apologize - no offer was made to buy the table a drink or dessert. I will never go back - very bad experience

Selection of white wines is terrible. The place used to have amazing food years ago.stuffed clams were terrible. full of bread and hardly any clams. My Shrimp dish as per the special, came out cold, not even warm. Waiter did not come by once to check on how food was. No follow thru on service. Disappointed. I used to love this place. Sorry not going back.

I googled restaurants in the Hawthorne area on Monday and chose Tramontos & went on Tuesday after looking at quite a few. Well.... The food was great as was the service. I am very hard to please when dining out & everything has to be right or I will not eat it. I am DEFINITLY going back. I recommend that you try it.
