This place is so bad on business. My mother tried getting this place for my birthday dinner on Saturday and over the phone they told her she needed to leave a deposit to hold down for all the meals which was a reasonable price for the amount of people BUT they never told my mother the details such as: they only let you eat two meals that are chosen for everyone ? (The two meals were meals my family and I do not enjoy! )and two once you put the deposit they do not return it to you if you decide to cancel. Its understood that its a business but if my mother didnt sign anything that stated this and when we tried to cancel the lady named Trina spoke to her with such an attitude in comparison to the day before when she wanted my mom to leave a deposit (she was so sweet) as a business owner you should not behave in this manner at the least she couldve broadened the menu or at least allowed to choose. So now my family is left with no place to eat and the business is left with my mothers money. Horrible. Not a good business. My recommendation be specific when you are speaking to clients !

Me and my fiancé are looking for a place to have a dinner prior to our wedding with our family and friends so we decided to try barrosa restaurants food what a waste of time . So we ordered a hot antipasto to be honest the only ok appetizer on that platter was the eggplant ,the shrimp had a weird taste , one of the clams was burned (breadcrumbs). So after that I had the red snapper livornese the sauce was good but the fish tasted dry like if it was defrosted , my fiancé ordered a pasta with portobello mushrooms the taste of it was really good but guest what?? We found a hair so we ask the busboy to call our server the one who never came to ask if everything was ok instead a woman came so we told her about the hair in our food she apologized but what really bothered us was that we were charged for it. So we are definitely not having our dinner there any more.

Excellent, excellent, excellent, enough said, I dont think so. This establishment has grown over the last few years and has gotten better over time like fine wine. From their home made chopped salad, to their clams, veal, chicken, chefs specials it doesnt matter what you get you will never be disappointed, if you dont like something ( which I cant imagine happening ) just tell them and they will prepare something else. The bar has seen some changes over the years as well, with a nice high partition that separates the dining area and the bar which is used to have a drink and socialize, wait for a table or even eat your lunch or dinner if you prefer. Any night of the week ( especially weekends) is a great time to visit the bar and meet friends or find new ones. Joe and Frank are really special as is the whole staff. Now its enough said!

Deciding to go out for dinner at the last minute we (my wife and in-laws plus baby) stopped here as Ive always been interested to try this place. The moment we walked in we were approached by someone in the back who asked whether or not we had reservations. I replied no and at that point we were informed that reservations were required for dining. At quick glance I observed more tables were empty than occupied (30 % capacity) and quickly realized that this may have been something more than "reservations". Im glad the true experience was demonstrated, before wasting a dime on this place. Dont have the desire to try this place anymore. Ill spend my money where is it appreciated. Bad business!

Visited 4 times within past 3 months -- food is usually pretty good -- love the appetizers and pasta fagioli -- specials are fine -- dont expect to get refills on bread or water without calling someone over, if you can find someone as the waiters and bus boys tend to evaporate -- they enjoy talking to each other in the rear of the place rather than seeing to the diners needs -- and why the head guy dresses like a slob when the place shows pretensions of an upscale restaurant is beyond my comprehension. They definitely need a full time dining room manager. The owner should go to Albertos on Metropolitan to see how to do it right.

The dinners here are very reasonable given that the food is top quality. The service is also excellent and the variety in bread basket they provide is amazing. Youll want to bring a bunch home. There is tough time getting room on the weekend and when busy the place can get loud. Parking is tough on the weekend and fri night but they have Valet service. More intimate dining is on the side under the glass awning. Great place to bring wife or girlfriend, kids might get rambuncious.

This food has some of the best pizza in the Rego Park/Middle Village area. Coming from a neighborhood with a different pizzeria literally every 3 blocks its hard to pick which one to go to sometimes. But since Barosas has opened up that has been our go to pizzeria for a good few years now. It has a nice atmosphere, and everyones super friendly. I know every person that works in there by name. If youre in the general Middle Village area, Barosas is the place to go

I called at 11am today and they picked up the phone saying they were closed and open only at 12. I told them it was my kids birthday and asked them if they could take an order right now and try to make it the first order for delivery. They agreed and at 12:02 two hit fresh pies were at my door. Thank you so much for your dedication, not to mention amazing pizza and the best garlic knots in queens! Great job!

Walked to Barosa Take Out to pick up my Lunch during my break. When I got back to my desk and took a bite, the pizza taste like charcoal. When I called the place back they refused to pick up the pizza and deliver better slices to me because it wasnt more than $10. I had to walk back to Barosa because of their mistake. I was very upset and it was very inconvenient. I WILL NOT BUY FROM HERE AGAIN!

Ive been receiving delivery orders from Barosas regularly. I love the food. However, the delivery guys would get tipped more if they came to my apartment instead of waiting in my lobby. By the time you call me and I come down to meet you, youve been double parked way longer than if you just used the elevator and came to my door.. And, as I said, would receive a bigger tip.

I am from Chicago and looked at the reviews before deciding to go here. We ordered a brick oven cheese and onion pizza and a calzone with marinara sauce. Pizza isnt even close to being as good as Chicago and when we got home we couldnt find the marinara sauce even after they repeated my order correctly on the phone. We will not be back.

was there jan.10,2011. the five of us each had a different meal and enjoy each one. service was great and did not rush us with the meal. the staff was around a lot and we did not have to wait long for food or drink. a spot that we will go to again.
