Lou Riccitello was our most gracious host. We had about 15 people show up for a get together and wanted for nothing. Every item we ordered was great and service was outstanding. This is an Institution in the food industry. The atmosphere is friendly and the lounge is a neighborhood lounge that makes you feel like you have been coming there for years. Actually most of us have. We came from, literally, all over the world. Our long distance mate was from New Zealand!!!! We cant wait to get back to see Lou and the gang. Thanks for your patience for putting up with us Lou!!!

This is the quintessential Italian American restaurant. Its been there a long time (still has a built in phone booth with an actual pay phone.) It has a great full bar and more than competent bartender. Thier red sauce and pasta is light. Between us we had sauteed calamari, chicken livers Caruso, pork roast, and frog legs. Each was very nicely done . The livers and the calamari stood out particularly.. It was also quite modestly priced for dinner with wine for three. I am looking forward to the next visit.

Wow. I thought that Ive been to every Schenectady resturant both present and past. Riccitellos is a survivor from the old days when restaurants like Mama Ferros, Luegis, Mama Bianchis were the restarunts of choice. That was over 50 years ago. The last restaurant standing is Riccitellos. And for good reason. Why you may ask? You be the judge. Love this place.
