I have been eating here for YEARS and last night this place not only messed up our takeout order but they refused to fix it AFTER telling us over the phone to come back and they would fix it. Drive all the way back just for them to say "nope, we arent fixing it". They are RUDE, unhelpful and the food was terrible. We ordered a side of cheese fries and when they screwed it up they handed my husband 2 slices of cheese and said to go home and put it on our fries and put it in the oven! If I wanted to use my oven I wouldnt have ordered takeout. The food we received looked like it was scraped off someone elses plate. After 15 years of eating here I will NEVER return after the way we were treated last night and the same with our entire family

I have been going to the Golden Dawn for many years for breakfasts and the occassional lunch. The food is top shelf and the counter staff alert and professional. Todays table service though eventually attentive was short and disrespectful...what waitress has ever say down at the table to take your order? Never. This is offensive behavior, as well as poor floor management. The was not unexpected as our initial experience began by the manager spending more time texting than managing seating. Too bad.

Tried ordering take out the other day and was turned away because apparently they were WAAAAYYY too busy to take an order over the phone. This is the first time I ever heard of a restaurant refusing business because they were too busy. I guess you people make enough money to do that. Must be nice. Never going here again. Food: 2/10 AT BEST (Im from NYC so every diner in NJ sucks in comparison) A corner deli in Queens owned by Koreans has better food than this place.

I have been dining off and on for the last 30 years and still go there when I am in the area. There food is great with generous portions. Staff is friendly. I love their prime rib which is high quality and big at a very modest price. The breakfast platters are very good too along with their coffee which always rich and fresh. Its the diner of all diners.

Waitresses are incredibly rude! I am sitting in another diner listening to these 3 girls scream & curse at their waitress disrupting everyone elses meals - over steak sauce- then go on to announce where the work! Rude & Stupid. I guess they would get upset though- all of them look like food is VERY important to them.

Had a great breakfast - large egg white omelet was very tasty, they actually listened when I asked for well done onions, I was able to substitute a pancake for the homefries and toast, and they have a carafe of coffee at the table so you dont have to wait for refills. Kids menu items are around $1. Very good value.

We had such a great experience at Golden Dawn Diner tonight. The food was great and the service was terrific! Ask for Barry to be your waiter, he was the best. We also had a wonderful conversation with the very helpful and kind woman at the register. Go eat there, you wont be disappointed !

Ive been going there since I was a kid. I dont think I ever got a bad meal. This is an awesome diner that give you great food ALL THE TIME. The menu is not too big but not too small and they have all the favorites. Mine is the chicken salad. Yummm.......

The food at the dinner is very good. My only problem is ocassionaly I get a male waiter who is always rude. This makes for an unpleasant dining experience. I am now going to avoid being seated in his section.

Food is good, however prices went up and i would love to enjoy my dinner without fake news CNN being on every screen. Country is too divided for them to have CNN on ALL DAY. Next time i will pass.
