So I stopped in this place after work for a quick bite to eat, and it was anything but quick. I was seated at 9:38PM, and about thirty-five minutes later, I finally placed my drink order. Yeah, you read that right, my drink order. Ten more minutes later, I got my drinks, and the waitress disappeared before I could place my food order. Another ten minutes, and I finally placed my food order. I really didnt want to spend too much time in the place, so I figured Id get something fast, and ordered their nacho appetizer. I mean, Ive ordered diner nachos from other diners in the past, and figured itd be roughly the same product as offered at other places, chips, some salsa, some melted shredded cheddar cheese, maybe some beef, maybe some lettuce and tomato; you know, diner nachos. Well, I was waaaaaaay off in my expectations. What I received was a plate with about a handful of red/white/blue nachos, with some nasty plastic canned cheese on top, and a little cup of salsa. The cheese was literally the kind of knock-off brand cheese you find in wholesale food marts, and had no flavor at all; and the salsa was straight out of a jar, but at least the chips werent stale. Of course, at $8 a plate, I was expecting a little more than the equivalent of stadium nachos. Oh well. I munched on a couple of the chips before giving up, the lame tasteless yellow cheese product making it nearly inedible. I paid my bill, and know Ill never come back. What a disaster.

I have dinner there after work every so often as i work right across from this diner in the next shopping center over. Every time i go there, they treat me with a mild disrespect sort of like an unwelcome guest or stray dog. They sit me in front of the manager all the time as i feel that they think i am some hoodlum. The waitresses NEVER give me there names and never smile to me, but after i order, i see them giving respectful attitudes towards the more predominant majority there. When i get close to finishing my meal and beer, the waitress stands close by, and the manager or owner, stands by the welcome booth at the front of the door, and is facing me, but never staring, unless i look up quick and catch him/them glancing at me. When i go to pay, i go to the front counter and when i actually pay for the meal, and receive my receipt, they then go to the back knowing i payed and no longer have to watch me. This is EVERY TIME I GO. I have watched there rudeness to me and see how it differs from certain guests comparatively. They at least give me my food hot and my beer cold, but that is all they get from me.

Went on a Tuesday night, not many customers. Took 12 minutes to even be seated because hostess stopped to take a phone call, even though she saw us standing there. We should have taken that as a clue. We received our drinks quickly once we were seated and that was about it. The waiter disappeared for about 20 minutes and then finally showed up and took our food order. Another couple was seated during that time at the table next to us and he immediately took their food order. We waited 27 minutes before our food was ever served - but the couple next to us had received their meal and were done before we even got our food. Absolutely HORRIBLE service. I did leave a couple dollars tip - and the waiter was fast then to run to the table to pick that up - then actually made a face like he was disgusted by such a bad tip. Heres a tip - provide better service and youll get a tip worthy of what you do!!!!

After spending some quality time with my son at Ready Aim Fire, we headed to a close place to eat, around 8pm. TSTMs all over the area. Spotted the Golden Eagle Diner and turned in. Pouring rain, the 20 foot trek to the front door left us drenched from the waist up. First impressions are lasting. Our waitress came over, smiled and handed us a stack of napkins, coffee pot in hand. Thats service! She gave us just the right amount of time for choosing from the menu. Breakfast for me, Pizza Steak for my Son. Timing great, food excellent, service impeccable. P.S. Grew up outside Philly, living in Joisey now. Good scrapple is hard to find. At The Golden Eagle, the best Ive tasted in years! A definite stopping point if youre looking for quality food at great cost to benefit pricing.

Although the place was clean and our waitress was polite, service was soo slow. It took 10-15 minites or more just for our waitress to even stop by our table and take our drink order, and then she forgot 2 of our drinks and the soda was flat or needed to be changed. One table walked out after being seated and never even speaking to a waitress. Breakfast food is usually quick, and it wasnt too busy, but it still took so long for our food, and it was just mediocre. Also the bus boy was practically throwing the dishes in his bin as he cleaned the table, one coffee cup or plate broke and pieces of it flew onto our table and he was oblivious to that, and later shattered a glass while cleaning another table. The only plus was that it was clean and cheap. I will not be coming back.

The food is good and the service varies depending on the server. The reason I am giving this place a poor review is the hidden charges they give you for take out. The last few times I ordered for take out my bill was really high so I stopped going there. I ordered two scrambled eggs and a soda and paid over $11, which is ridiculous. Today I decided to give it another try and low and behold, they charged me .99 container charge and .70 to go charge. My sandwich was only 5.99 but I paid 1.69 just to get it to go. Then manager is a complete jerk who yells at his staff and is now robbing his customers with hidden charges and I am sure the server never sees a dime of this charge.

This place used to be food when the Greek owned it. No the new Turkish owners are rude and over charge. I asked my waitress for the kebab ($15.99) with an extra skewer. She asked the manager who said its gonna be double. I asked to speak to him, he-very rudly- confirmed. I asked to speak to the owner thinking may be the manager is new or made a mistake. He was even more rude and said yes to me leaving after only paying for the soup. And to make it worse they dont want to take discover because it is higher percentage. I will be very surprised if this place is doing half what the Greeks used to do. Rude rude rude. Read the rest of the reviews specially the ones left by x-employees.

I went here once with my wife and daughter. We do not plan on returning. I cant say for sure, but either our server was upset about the baby being in her section (she was only a couple months old and sleeping) or the fact that we are a mixed race family. My wife is black and I didnt notice any other black patrons there on a busy weekend morning. She didnt seem interested in helping us and I felt that we were rushed out. Perhaps she was having a bad day. The food was pretty good. Its a shame we had such an uncomfortable experience.
