Gave one star and that belongs to the waitress who was courteous and polite. Given the circumstance she was embarrassed and mortified. This was the first time we went there. This diner has gone through several owners. We like to support local businesses but this is the exception. We arrived at 6 PM only 3 cars in parking lot. Inside one table of diners. Staff was seated at counter and manager not in sight . Place was deserted and we thought because it was Monday and we missed the earlier diners. NOT!!! It didnt take long to realize why place was empty, After waitress took order for one special and 2 cold sandwiches, we waited and waited and waited for at least 30 mi before food arrived,. Thats when bad turned to disaster. It was evident prime rib headed...Baked potato dried out and burned black skin on bottom wrapped in foil...reheated, One entree edible but not great and one came complete with HAIR in wrap and coleslaw, 3 strikes! Manager though lethargic came over after waitress was listening to the saga...He asked You dont like the coleslaw.? REALLY.. ? He offered no apo,ogy never appeared to care at all levels. The waitress took one entree off the bill f an offered another ....she was so distressed we felt embarrassed for her! She apologized many times. After she left bill...manager took her aside and grilled her about what happened. He asked her if it was her Hair? 2 clearly black hairs in view....She was a blonde! When we went to pay he offered no apology and not even a thank you. Rest rooms were filthy. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY...BETTER TO GO TO STEWARTS NEXT DOOR. This was the worst Restaurant experience of a lifetime and Im a baby boomers. SHAME ON YOU CONTINENTAL!

Our second visit, first visit was promising. Was there this morning, not so good. It started by running out of orange juice. Our son wanted chocolate chip pancakes - no chocolate chips. Then a bit after the customer next to us complained about something was wrong with his pancakes. Turns out they where made with sour milk. " Sir we are having problems with our pancake batter, would you like waffles or French toast instead? Our Son had originally ordered pancakes and a side of Ham. Customer besides was told as they were ordering that they had run out of Ham. As we sat there approx 1/2 hour customers around us whom arrived later than we had were being served. We finally just left. Have never previously done so. Right now the place SUCKS! If they dont adjust and improve they will soon close. How do you screw up pancake batter? It should be made fresh daily! Health Department should evaluate.

We used to come here all the time when this place was called The Dolphin Diner. It closed and reopened a few times, but the food and service were never the same. Not so now. Great menu, the food is well prepared, and the service is outstanding. Our waitress Laura was a sweetheart, gave us incredible service with a smile. The family tried different things. My son had the crab cakes, my fiancee had an omelette, her daughter a hamburger, and I had the chicken Diana. All outstanding! Were sure to be back.....and glad this place is re opened.

Didnt think they were open but went to their door went in ordered prime rib was so good mashed potatoes were home made n the carrots were cooked just the way I like them.desert was rice pudding home made every thing was yummy soup came with my meal she gave me a little sample not salty at all i took that home for my lunch an took home meat for my fur babies yes they loved it too. Great place to go for your meal open till 1am

Horrible!!! Mothers Day outing ended on a sour note. Food was cold, salad was sad... the core of the head of lettuce mixed in, white onions dry, croutons were greasy, salmon was bland, vegetables overcooked and cold, cream of chicken cold and clumpy. Everything except for the waitress was terrible. Shouldve kept driving when I saw how empty the parking lot was!!!

Dont know how this place is still in business. Felt horrible for our waitress when she had to tell us that they were all out of all seafood including shrimp how ever the list gets longer of food they were out of on Fathers Day No chicken alfredo Porterhouse steak All seafood Feta cheese French dressing All things the poor waitress had to tell us they were out of.

Absolutely horrible! Where do even I start; bakery area empty, no romaine lettuce, no decaf tea, no sugar on table ask server, she brings a packet, bus boys cleaning tables and serving customers, no change, cook and busboys yelling across the diner to each other and to top it all off, hair in my food. No management on site, just someone filling in..do not go here..

It took 35 minutes to get our food. The tea was bad, service was lousy and after waiting as long as we had the food was sub par. A cheese steak and "two" eggs with bacon, the portion of eggs was that of a half of an egg and the steak was burnt. Then there wasnt even enough change to make from our bill. Is it sad to say that I wish it was still the Dolphin diner?

Horrible tasteless food. Waffle not completely done, creamed chip beef was too salty and so thick it was like wallpaper. Wont go there again! Plus we noticed black patrons were seated in one section and white patrons in another. What was up with that? It wasnt just us seeing this...another black couple noticed it also. Word to the wise...JUST STAY AWAY!!!

Rude owners & manager. Not accommodating at all with special requests. Food is bad. Sticky floors & bathroom not clean. A big waste of $. On top of it all they overcharge. Had to pull out the menu to point to the correct prices to them. Do not go there

I feel bad for them. They were busy today because of Fathers Day but were understaffed. A party of 11 walked out. Two people, my wife one of them, returned pancakes because they were bitter. Also, a diner should not serve mediocre coffee.

The one star is for the sweet young waitress. Food was cold and gnats swarming made this Mothers Day meal a disaster!!! Manager looks hung over and was unapologetic. Dessert is no compensation! Continental Diner, get it together!

We ate an early dinner there last night, our server was wonderful but she didnt have a name tag on to give her kudos..this morning we got take out breakfast..and they gave me orange marmalade for jelly...im allergic to oranges!

I really enjoyed the food, but the Hostess who also served as a waitress that day was very charming and welcoming. Ive been here twice and both times food and service were outstanding
