Until this quaint little coffee shop opened 2 months ago Allentown had no real place to sit and drink coffee. Dont get me wrong, Taza was always interesting, but it lacked some of the qualities that embody the standard coffee shop, namely: ample seating and Wifi. Grindhaus does only pour over coffee for now, rumor is that espresso is on the way, but the quality is excellent. The owners are two lovely locals that clearly know and love the coffee they serve. They also have vegan / vegetarian fare which is quite original and tasty (and Im a devoted carnivore). Grindhaus fits in at Allentown like it has always been here, and it has become my new favorite haunt; I recommend that you check it out.

So far, the best cafe coffee Ive enjoyed in Buffalo! My barista was pleasant & kind. It was a nice day, so I sat outside where the barista brought out a perfect temperature hot Costa Rica coffee to me. Grindhaus is located right on Allen, so a lot of friendly passerby talked to me–something you dont typically experience in New York. I havent tried any of the food (which Ive heard really great things about) as this was a short visit to Buffalo, but hope to add an edit in the future.

Walked in on a whim while exploring Allen Street. I feel like Im not hip/chill enough to be here but I guess thats fine because what matters is me getting coffee. I ordered an iced pour over with some sugar, no milk. It was perfect! A sweet, smooth cup of coffee (though I normally prefer a darker roasted, stronger flavor). Theres a good amount of seating inside, a nice place to sit and have a little conversation. I also noticed board games, Ill probably be back!

I love it here; the owner and staff are cool, and the coffee is tasty. I am not vegan so I dont eat the food. The only problem here is that if you want to come in the AM, they may or may not be open. 2X I have stopped by with work and the cafe was closed well past their posted hours. Ive also wandered past, taking the long way to work hoping for a cup to go, and no one is home. S#@^& happens, but dang. Best to show up in the afternoon.

The coffee wasnt good and they sold me a $3 croissant that tasted like it was from Tops. In fact, the muffins I saw looked like Wegmans muffins. The layout was so bad. The shop is a good size, but they had the register right next to the door. So there is a lot of congestion and traffic while you are ordering. Do not recommend, obviously.

All the food is delicious! Im not a vegetarian at all, and I did not miss the "meat" one bit. The cold brewed coffee is a must. Everything I tried was satisfying and tasty. The owner and staff are friendly. Such a comfy atmosphere and the artwork is awesome. You wont be disappointed.

Very mellow little cafe with beautiful decor and local art on the walls. Menu is mostly vegan or vegetarian and the food was very tasty. Good location, wasnt too expensive either.

Awesome atmosphere. Hand-dripped coffee from amazing beans, which they also grind themselves. The owners really put their blood, sweat, and tears into this place, and it shows.
