This was one of the worst experience that I have ever had. My 4 year old son and I went to this diner. As soon as we walked in we were promptly taken to our seats. Well, on our way to our seats the hostess almost fell on the floor and then my son took a dive and fell flat on his face. The floor was wet with some kind of substance that was not properly mopped up. The hostess did not even offer an apology. She just stated that they need to put a sign down. However, the hostess did offer to reseat us to a different section of the resturant but I told her that it was ok because where she seated us was not wet but then the family that we were seated next to said to be careful that theres glass all over the floor and when I looked down they were absolutely right. While sitting down I noticed that the floors was dirty all over the resturant and the ceiling had water stains as well. Not just a little water stain, but HUGE water stains all over. All of a sudden I just felt like this place was not clean at all. It looks good from the outside but very outdated on the inside. Then I looked at my watch and realized that my son and I have been at this diner for a little over 30 minutes and our server hasnt even come by yet. But wait? there are only two other families who were here before us and one other gentlemen seated by the counter. Whats going on? This is unexceptable! Then all of a sudden I started to ask myself, is it because where Black? Now I dont want to say that was truly the case but in the end thats how I felt. I gave it another 5 minutes and then I just left and went to Chickies & Petes (that was recommended by a local). The customer service their was amazing. I just wish they had healthier options on the menu.

I love diners I feel they are the closest thing to a home cooked meal. The waitress was friendly and polite but the food was absolutely horrible. The homefries that came with my meal were repulsive they didnt even smell right, they must of went bad and been old. I was brought a second order of homefries completely undercooked soaked in butter and still same nasty taste. My husband ordered steak and received a stake burger that was overcooked, also the vegetables on his plate looked old and were unseasoned. I was externally disappointed and when I spoke to the host before leaving she said she would check on it and tried to cut us off and send us out the door.

What a great atmosphere, sprinkled with wise sayings--mostly Christian, though that shouldnt detract from the charm for other faiths--and eclectic art! The food was excellent, even as leftovers after several hours of driving, and very, very affordable. Would definitely go here again.

Food quality and preparation along with the prices, make this place a regular weekly stop. Couple all of this, with quick attentive service especially from Lisa, (mornings), strongly supported by a "hard-working" busboy named Amerigo and friendliness from the entire staff.

Food was ok at best. Service was slow. In a restaurant that was at less than half capacity our drinks were filled by the buss boy more than our waitress. Hostess was less that polite. Over all, of all the places Ive eaten in New Jersey this is by far the worst.

really enjoyed the food, the eggs, bacon, pancakes and coffee were great! the prices were very affordable especially for the amount of food you get. the only downside is it was really cramped and loud when the restaurant was full, but we will be returning for sure.

Best diner in bordentown, easily! The Petris family take pride in their recipes, freshness of food, and customer satisfaction. My personal favorite is breakfast. Porkroll eggs benedict, and if Im feeling greedy a side of chocolate chip pancakes.
