I had the best food ever in sukh sagar all the times. I had recently ordered a catering from Sukh Sagar and I just loved their service. It was on 07/16/2011. My guests specially asked me for their contact info which I think is a really good sign for them as well as me to have their food. The best service I have ever got, and to top it the best staff ever. My catering was of around 400 people in past six years I have done caterings from them but use to be small. Was a bit worried but was really satisfied and happy with their service. I had NO COMPLAINTS from my guests and only COMPLIMENTS. As the setup was really nice they made my dream come true in the service. Veg samosa , Spring rolls and delicious authentic pakoras in their appetizer menu which I ordered. The best delicious curries north indian was Malai Kofta . Indochinese was panner chilli gravy (my daughters favorite) and in south INdian taste I had the vaghara baigan. WHover owns this place I had his word on the food and setup that I wont be upset and he was true he really made it impressive for me I was very happy by their service. Their veg bIryani was the real taste of BIryani with the mint leaves and taste of it. I Just loved that experience. Carrot halwa was as delicious as my mom use to make it in India the authentic taste this people have is mind blasting. ANd another desert was Emarti, I have seen people just using it name and making it but the one that sukh sagar provided me was the best Emarti I have ever tasted after coming here. I WOULD HIGLY RECOMMEND THEM.

Hey Friends, I believe this message will make people think twice before even signing up in this restaurant for any kind of partys. I had heard from others that the restaurant owner "Poojary" is an extremely business minded man. That was proven during my daughters birthday party we hosted at this dirty restaurant. Carpet is extremely dirty, chairs are torn, no proper trash can and no one to change the over flowing trash with the food. The owner of the party is in the kitchen monitoring what goes outside the kitchen to the party hall. He sends used soda for the guests and is stingy in serving the food including the lassi. I advise you all not to go to this restaurant or host any party. Poojary is a liar and is only after your money. Food you get for party is out and out different than the ones served when you order individually. He is not bothered to even ask if things and food are good. Before you even wrap up to leave the hall he himself comes to clean up the party hall tables to send his customers. I am not jealous of this guys prosperity. I just want people to know that a person who can send used soda thinking we are fools to drink the used bottle, can even provide used food for his customers. He is not a trustworthy guy. Dont go by his words. Go by your gut instinct when you plan to host a party in this dirty hotel. Thanks

OMG! Have not had good Indian food in so long. This place blew them all out of the water. Being vegetarian I totally appreciated the vegetarian menu. Went for lunch buffet on Sunday and was so pleased to find all my favorites. Complimentary mango lasse and dosa was a very nice touch. The food was beatifully seasoned not over salted like most Indian restaurants in the area. Each dish was unique with unique flavor. The chef should be commended for bring the flavor of the food out with such unique spices. Everything was super clean as well. They had Jalebi for dessert which is my sons favorite and I asked if I could have a small portion to take home to him. The man at the register did not hesitate and boxed me up some for free. Great customer service all around. Other restaurants could take a lesson from this place. Great food, great customer service, great atmosphere....

This is with reference to Hosting a Party at Your Restaurant. My Husband, I and my kid had come a few days ago to inquire about the Party Hall at Sukh Sagar Restaurant. We met with Mr Pujari, and since it was a busy night, He couldnt give us in writing the Prices / Menu, etc.. . We said Well come back the next day. We had again come this morning, to get the prices, to look at the Hall, again, and Mr Pujari WAS VERY RUDE TO US. He started saying that "I had given it to you to us that day , itself ", etc.. when He hadnt given us anything to us the first time we had come, because He was busy. He does not have the patience, or good manners to run a Hotel. And Then, He didnt want to take time to discuss the Menu, etc.. with us. Well, there are a million other Good Restaurants - Chand Palace, Nan King, etc.. !!!

The weekend buffet has an amazing spread (100% vegetarian): - Chaat (including pani puri, veg cutlet/tikki, dahi vada) with appropriate chutneys and seasonings - Tiffin (including idli, vada, pakodas, upma) with rasam, sambhar and chutneys - Indochinese (e.g. manchurian, hakka noodles) - Naans and dosas (most kinds) - 2 sukha/dry curries (e.g. cauliflower, potato or baingan) - 4 gravies (including one paneer, dal variety) - 2 rice varieties (e.g. biriyani, pulao) - Dessert bar with fresh jilebi, gulab jamun, fruit pudding, and chocolate fondue with fruits. - One mango lassi or spiced buttermilk is included with the buffet (per person) Have been here twice so far, and the food has been consistently good. Will definitely be going back!

I just love going to Sukhsagar again and again. It has everything what it takes to be the best south indian restaurant in America~~~ It has the exact feel of our good ol madrasi chai.. that mendhu vada with mint chutney looks like it travelled from south India directly :D All you Andhra food lovers this is the place you need to flock to... You get everything under one roof with the best hospitality. Warm atmosphere and a touch of that extra spice is good option for the spice lovers!! Parties, get-togethers can also be done as the owner is flexible with everything. There is a new make over to the place and you need to visit soon to rate it. I give five star to this place this time!

I was here for a lunch buffet with some co-workers and the range of options was pretty impressive. Lots of options including appetizers, south and north indian varieties. They also made Dosas for us but none of them were crispy. We ordered different kinds and they had a different excuse each time why it wasnt crispy lol Overall lots of options but taste wise, its really average. Nothing impressive. Even though I had lots of options, I didnt feel like I was eating tasty food, I was just filling myself up lol I did hear the Dosa/Chaat nights are pretty good so maybe thats worth a try next. So you decide what you want :)

I have been a regular customer at Sukh sagar for the past couple of years. Food is real good and so is the service. I would prefer and recommend this place for a good Vegetarian food in Piscataway area anytime. Just an advise for the owner... These days there is a lot of experimenting going on with the main dishes in the lunch buffet.. Please at least have one or two common dishes or dishes from North in the buffet. People from North also come here so please cater to them as well. Before your buffet was well balanced.. Overall good food.. good taste and good service..
