Its really a shame that I have to give such a terrible rating. The food is very good. However, the lack of customer service and the stress you will experience in trying to get your very good food is not worth it. My husband and I dined in for our first visit. We were the only table in the restaurant and waited for 45 minutes after placing our order. During that time, we did not receive our drinks and did not have any interaction with the staff. After we decided to walk out and eat elsewhere, we were swarmed by staff who apologized profusely, saying that the tandoori takes a long time (which we understand) and that we should have been offered our curry dishes first, etc. We ended up staying and the food was delicious. We ordered delivery last night and it was a horrible experience. When I called to see if they could deliver to us, she took my information and said she would have to check and then call me back. After her third call back, I finally got frustrated and said "look, do you deliver to us or not?". If they had said no the first time, we would have simply picked it up. We only live a few miles from their location. She finally told me they did deliver and I placed my order and she told me it would be 35 minutes. After the first hour, I called for an update and she told me it was on the way. After the second hour, they finally showed up. Two hours. We waited two hours for our delivery. Again, if I had known this, I would have just picked it up! When we finally got our order, we were missing an item so I called and asked her to just credit it back to my card. She said she would do that but instead, she apparently sent the delivery guy back out because an hour later, he knocked on our door with the missing item we had long forgot about. I understand there are growing pains with any new restaurant. I get that. Im willing to be patient with that. However, you need to maintain customer service. When a customer calls to ask if you deliver, dont make the customer wait for you to figure it out for 20 minutes. Know your business. Dont be dismissive when a customer complains about a delivery order taking two hours. Then, dont send someone to a customers house unannounced an hour after the issue should have been resolved. I really hope they get organized because the food is good and I would love to have access to Indian food delivery. It may be some time before I give them another chance. Perhaps one day when I have several hours to kill and nothing to do.

We decided to checkout the new Indian restaurant in town for lunch with friends after a lazy morning. Fragrant smell of Indian spices welcomed us as we stepped into the restaurant, whetting our appetites even more. The interiors were spacious, inviting and fuss free. Weekend buffet spread was extensive, with over 30 vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. While each dish exceeded our expectations, Chicken 555 and Andhra kodi pulav were my personal favorites and a must try! Aromatic rice cooked to tender perfection, with the right amount of spices and juicy flavorful chicken, yummm... relished each bite! If you are a fan of Indian food and want to experience rich flavors of Deccan cuisine, Hyderabad House is a must visit! All our cravings were satisfied, and we came home with full bellies and happy smiles. PS: our strictly vegetarian friend was also impressed with the selection of vegetarian dishes in the buffet.

I was searching for Ulavacharu Biryani from quite sometime in and around Philadelphia, Wilmington and finally got one at Newark, DE. Loved the taste and quantity. We had a dine-in to experience the Taste of Food with Hot, and they served it as we anticipated. Dishes we ordered at our first visit: Veg Corn Soup - 5/5 Tandoori Roti - Rating 5/5 Malai Kofta - Rating 5/5 (Taste similar to Hyderabad) Ulavacharu Biryani - 5/5 (I could taste the same Hyderabadi flavour without any compromise) Ambience - 4/5 Staff Friendliness- 5/5 Finally, if you are a Biryani lover and wish to have the Hyderabadi experience, step-in to enjoy the delicious food here without fail.

Coming from an Indian who has eaten Biryani all over the place, the Hyderabad House Biryani in Delaware is as good as it gets. We had the Gongura Chicken Biryani and Vijayawada Special Biryani along with the chicken drumsticks. Pure delight for the senses!! The kids had schezuan vegetable fried rice and veg Hakka noodles and they lapped it up. Usually, we have to implore the kids to eat something. Finally found another reason to stop in Delaware other than the tax free shopping. With its close proximity to the highway, perfect stop for some delicious Indian food for our regular Jersey to Virginia trips!!

Horrible experience... Very upset with food n people... Vegeterain options are null... waste of money n spoiling your memeorable moments if you are a vegetarian... god knows about taste of desserts... cook doesnt have any taste buds... just name sake Hyderabad House Biryani Place... not even a single item from Hyderabad or Region... not able to understand the concept... I will never ever go even if my dearest friend hosts a party and dont recommmend to anyone... I suggest to owners to eat all items in their own restaurant to feel the customer pain... sorry... but reality...

Will never order again. Order delivery at 6:45pm estimated time of arrival was 7:55 at the latest. I called at 8:20 because I had not received my order and they apologized and said it was on the way. Okay I can forgive that. But than I called again at 9 because I still never got my order and they said they didnt know what happened to it! What do you mean you dont know what happened to it??? Than they said to get a refund from grub hub and they will give me 10% off next time. No thanks. Ill take my business to someone who wants it.

After so many disappointing Indian places, Hyderbad house really hit the spot! The curries (goat, chicken, mutter paneer) were delicious. The paneer seemed a little denser than what I was expecting but still tasty. Only negative was a few full cloves and a full star anise still in the curry, but luckily I fished them out instead of biting down into them. Staff was very nice. Definitely now my favorite Indian place in town. Will be back regularly for sure!

We regularly order from HH and just ate for the first time from the buffet. Im a vegetarian, but my husband is not, and we were really happy with the variety, especially the South Indian cuisine. For the buffet, there were about ten different entrees along with naan, biryani, chutneys, and dessert. The regular menu is quite extensive and provides offerings not typical of a standard Indian menu, including Indo-Chinese fusion recipes.

Visited this place a number of times and tried the Buffet and Biryanis. The buffet spread was always huge and all the items were excellent. The crab curry that I had in one of the buffets was delicious. Everytime I ordered biryani, it tasted great and always consistent. Definitely the best biryani in the whole delaware. When I am around this area, I will take out the biryanis for my whole family.

Had been here with friends this week end. The food here is very good, compared to some places I had been, its very very good. We had vegetable Briyani and Palak Paneer with Naan. My kids loved the curry and they too liked the Briyani. Its very rare for them to like Indian food, so, I am happy with the food. Next time we are in Delaware again, this is the place I would visit again.
