Moved into the area a few months ago. We searched and tried many pizzerias and restaurants within a ten mile radius. I could never find the taste and style we grew up on near the Bronx. Driving by one day I noticed Augies and made a mental note. The next time we wanted Italian food and Pizza we went to Augies. What a pleasant surprise. Great Pizza, fantastic entres and yummy salads. Between family, friends and myself, we have tried almost every item on the menu - not one of them has let us down in taste and authenticity. Sometimes we have to wait for a table but it is ALWAYS GREAT and worth any wait.

Ive been going to augies now for a very very long time. If I call in and order Augie knows exactly who it is just by the 2 sausage parm grinders and yes both are for me . Thats how good it is. Anyway I have had practically everything on the menu at least once and satisfied with everything. You wont find another Italian restaurant this good anywhere in Danbury or surrounding towns. If its not augies we wont eat it . Put it this way if augies closed I wont be eating pizza for a very very long time. Thanks for the AWESOME food augie.

We were house hunting in Danbury, coming from Westchester. The day we decided to make an offer on the house we now live in, we were hungry and happened upon Augies just down the road! We were so thrilled to find a neighborhood place where the food is so good that even my Sicilian husband is happy! Weve taken his family there also and they loved it too. Thanks for being a touch of Brooklyn in Danbury. Now for that Italian bakery...

I really like this place and it is my go to place for lunch when I have out of town visitors at work. This is type of place i always think of east coast italian. The red sauce dishes are really good. I always think their red sauce is great. I have had many of the dishes and most are very good, so pick what you want.

Excellent authentic Italian food ..feels like Im at my Nans house every time I order and the beautiful Italian lady at the register with the lovely blue eyes is a sweet heart ...prices are on point the food is of best quality and healthy Italian portions ..wow ! excellent work guys! See u soon!

Augies is definitely one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. The food is great, their waitstaff is attentive and welcoming, and each time I call to order food theyre always friendly. Also, its always nice when the owners and staff take the time to get to know you and your family!!!

Being an Italian American, and stationed in Italia i can be a harsh critic; the food is good and decent portion. Only issue I have is la Donna Bella a la porta (lady at the door).... thats why 3 stars, not going to be nasty.

The "lasagna" was a plate full of overcooked pasta, mediocre sauce, and way too much cheese, all covered with loose ground beef. Went with a large group and everyone had a similar story.

Delicious food. Not on their menu but the pizza roll-up is massive and delicious. Easily share-able. Wait times during peak dinner hours are on the longer side but well worth the wait
