My girlfriend comes all the way from Winnipeg to eat here. We love this place more than we love life itself. First of all, this is a great place to be a regular. The prices are fantastic - 7.55 for weekday lunch buffet. The staff recognize you after a few visits and dont treat you like a run-of-the-mill customer. You get used to the friendly faces there and they are always happy to see you and more than appreciative of your business. The food is amazing. Most Americans love the Chicken Tikka Masala, which is fantastic. Their other chicken dishes are excellent and their spicy veggie curry is delicious. The selection is varied and everything is fantastic. The fresh naan is particularly delicious, not to mention the kheer (rice pudding) which is the best Ive ever had. For those who are worried about the food being too spicy, worry not. The spicyness varies from not spicy to mild. All in all, check it out. Give the buffet a try and if it suits you, check out their grocery store that is near the Exton diner and try and cook some for yourself! Five stars!

from 11-1 this place can be packed with happy people enjoying good food. They are open till 3 and then it gets less crowded. The food is very good. Sometimes somethings can get stale, but what buffet doesnt get that. They have different cooks, which makes it that one day it may taste better than the others. They always have mango lassi or mango juice and Chai tea. The white sweets are sooo good (sorry not familiar with the name). Their paneer dishes are always really delicious and so are the goat dishes. If you havent had Indian before, try a little of everything because youll be surprised at which ones tastes the best... You never know! Plus they have some dishes which are constant on the menu but they change it up alot which is nice. During the week Mon-Thurs its 7.99 and Fri-Sun its 8.99 for the lunch buffet. Ive never gone for dinner. The staff is very friendly.

“Another Indian rest .. nothing special except their hospitality” Shifted to Pa last month and was eager to try Indian buffet. So far, I found cinnamon from Nj Is best one in this business Anyway. the ambiance was good. Staffs were courteous, but buffet it was not that good. Not many options in nonveg appetizers. drumstick was a total fail in starters, coloured in red (to the owner- mixing red color will not make it kabab or tandoori) Similarly not many options in the main course, Chicken tikka masala (which only Americans ll like) and one mutton entree. There was fish biryani which was more like pulav with fried fish pieces. Kadhi pakora, desserts (4-5 options), stuffed paratha and mango juice. I liked it Overall 5.5/10

We looked naar online for the best/better reviews and decided to give Himalayan a try. We did the right thing. First, we were getting take-out for a crew, and the staff could not have been more helpful sorting through their extensive menu. As veterans of Manhattanss finest over near the Lower East Side, we were not disappointed. Given, the caliber of the cuisine is what Ill call everyday Indian. It is the equivalent of home cooking - however, it is perfectly executed and we were thrilled. The tandoori was good, the masalas, dals and breads all well done and tasty. Ask for your desired level of spiceiness - we will return, next time with a bottle or two and just eat there. Go ahead - youll like it!

God awful place which had no qualms about serving old food. The drumsticks from heaven (appetizer) came from hell. I not sure as a chef how you could feel comfortable sending this out of your kitchen, it was completely soulless. The lamb karahi was the toughest lamb Ive ever been served in my life, even thought i asked if their lamb was of reasonable quality. The Keema nan had barely any keema in it. Avoid this place at all cost of you have ever been served decent Indian food once in your life then you will know this place thinks its customers are stupid enough to think their feed is edible.

What I like most about Himalaya is the friendly and not too overwhelming Indian ambience. The servers and managers are very friendly and extremely courteous. Uptil now starting with seating to making payments, they have accomodated every single request. The food is superb mainly north Indian and elaborate spread of various dishes is available. I am an Indian and have lived in north India for a while and both myself and my husband appreciate the curries and chicken tikka a lot. More importantly they keep updating their menu and stay on the top of my list due to that:)

I cant really give a 5 stars, there is always room for improvement. They have a good selection in their buffet. Two type for bread, dessert is OK they have a variety fruits, sweets, puddings, mango lassi is included. The food is a little bit spicy, but still good. They used to have the tea, unless I did not see it. I would recommend this place to friends. Tandori chicken are in a smaller piece, which is good, Masala chicken is good as well, the goat curry is excellent though it is a matter of taste. Ambiance not so much, but the food I would recommend to friends.

I have have been to Indian restaurants across different regions: East coast, West coast, mid-west as well as the south. The food and the preparation in this restaurant is the closest approximation to the North Indian Dhaba food, found on the side of the North Indian highways. Food that is tasty, liberal on spices, piping hot, served with raw onions, raw chillies and pickles. To the connoisseur of authentic Indian food, their entrees are top notch. To patrons who are looking for Americanized Indian food, this is apparently not the place to frequent.

The place was AWFUL. My family and I went there for the lunch buffet and all of the food was cold and stale. The Mirchi Bajji was hard as a rock. So we decided to complain to the manager and he had an attitude with us and said "everybody likes it why dont you?" I hated his attitude and didnt appreciate the fact that he didnt solve the problem. To top it off when we went to leave we took some of the complementary mouth freshener and even THAT was terrible. DO yourself a favor and dont go here and tell others to stay away as well

I was pretty excited to go to this place because of the reviews but I was really disappointed. The food was terrible but that is not why I hated this place. There were cockroaches on our table and they were crawling all over. I was so disgusted that I cant even imagine eating Indian food again. When we told the waiter, she replied with "oh sorry" and we still had to pay for the food. Health department should close this place down!!!!!!!!!!

Himalayan indian cusine located in Malvern, Pa has been in place for over 7 years. I have always enjoyed the food, service and ambiance. Their lunch buffet for $8.00 is unbeatable. With several appetizers to main entree and desserts you cant beat the value. This place has some authentic Tandoori chicken and Chicken tikka masala along with a great variety of vegetarian entrees. I definetely recommend this place.

This was my twentieth visit and the food was better than ever. The food has been consistently fantastic...but today,it was astounding. It was very busy at 12:20PM but we were seated immediately. The food was hot, fresh and constantly replenished. The service is just wonderful, friendly and attentive.
