I really wanted to like this place. The server was pretty rude and obviously disinterested in being there. Someone at our grill asked for something from the menu and she said "the pictures on the menu dont even look like anything we have." We ordered some sushi and sat at a grill, it was my wife and I. We got to sit next to a group with 2 very small children and 2 children in the 10s or so. So, read into that as do not expect an adult setting, expect to be surrounded by children like Chuck-e-cheese. The food was not good. I give the sushi roll a 3 out of 10. I had the King roll, which was supposed to be king crab and they used fake crab on the inside of the roll. My wife ordered the "hibachi grill" and we did an "upcharge" so I could split it with her and have the fried veges and rice. We got a small salad, and I had the largest hair in my salad I have ever seen in my life. I almost threw up when I saw it and I pushed my salad aside. I then had to examine everything to make sure I wasnt eating someones hair in my meal. The soup was very bland and had an odd taste, neither my wife and I had any of it after we tasted it. We waited for our hibachi chef for about 45 minutes, which is way too long for 4 kids sitting next to you to be sitting around with no food. The table that sat behind us 15 minutes after we sat down ate before we did? By the time we finally ate, I have to say the hibachi food was decent, but it was odd the portions that were given out. The infant children at the table (2 of them) were given a larger portion than I was? nothing at this place made any sense and we almost walked out about 6 different times. I was hoping the drink would be decent (had a 17 dollar cuervo magarita) and I dont think there was any tequilla in it. I will say the salmon fly rye from the tap was the highlight of evening. Save your money and go somewhere else

My husband and I just ate here tonight for the first time. Even though this a new restaurant AND it was crazy busy (even on a Monday) everything was unbelievably orchestrated and smooth. Customer service was perfection - everyone was incredibly professional, kind, and personable. We sat at the sushi bar and the each of the sushi chefs greeted us and talked with us several times during our meal, making sure everything was great...and it was. My husband ordered the sushi and sashimi platter. Oh my...what a work of ART! It was nothing short of spectacular and super fresh. I ordered the vegetable roll and the peanut & avocado roll. The peanut & avo roll was unlike anything Ive ever had and I honestly cant wait to have it again. The restaurant is clean (a must for us), beautifully designed, and boasts a unique menu with some playful local names. Weve eaten sushi all around the world and this place can absolutely hold its own. Lastly, we know one of the employees (hes the one who convinced us we needed to try it) and he told us how incredible the owners were and how well they treat the employees. He couldnt say enough good about them. Thats HUGE! For any of us who have worked in food service, we know thats not typically the case. We take what he said to heart. It makes the deal even sweeter. Well done, Nagoya! You are our new favorite.

First Hibachi restaurant experience, and it did not disappoint. Host John and Chef Chen did an outstanding job accommodating us and making the entire dinner feel very special. From the sushi appetizer, to the soup and salad, all the way to the dinner itself, everything tasted amazing! Ordered the chicken/steak/shrimp combination plate with fried rice, and was impressed with savory flavor of each. Had ordered the steak medium and was impressed how Chef Chen, despite having everyones orders on the hot plate at once, knew how to time each streak so that it was served at the desired doneness. Not easy with so much going on. Very hospitable atmosphere, with the owner or manager - not sure which - personally making the rounds to make sure everyone was satisfied with their meal. She was very friendly and attentative. They won over a new customer tonight. Next time were in Helena, its very likely Nagoya will see us again!

The last thing I expected to find in Helena, MT as a passing traveler was a respectable Japanese restaurant. But that is what I found. The hostess at the entry was actually Japanese and there was a chef doing the Hibachi thing and had a table roaring. The prices are not cheap. Appetizers range from 5 dollars to entrees over 30 dollars. Ambiance is great. I took an order to go and they had include everything including high quality bamboo chopsticks, soy, Wasabi, ginger and excellent to-go plates. I look forward to coming here again when I am back in the area.

Amazing, great time, this is our 4th time to Nagoya , espically for montana, to have a place as great as this in a small town with nothing, it really adds some flare . and if you make a reservation request. The chef "yanto" is amazing, if you can get him to twirl his fire spatulas its awesome, hes really good with the kids , his filtet mignon is to die for ..10 stars from me, for Nagoya and yanto... I love eating here. All the food is delicious and the wait staff are top notch. I love getting the sweetheart role because it is wrapped in soybean paper instead of seaweed. Its not too dark in the restaurant either. I love having the option of calling in and getting sushi to go, but then I would miss out on the amazing Shirley Temples they provide. (See the picture)

The food was tasteless. I had the steak and scallops and I only received six pieces of my steak and the guy at the end of the table got all of the steak. My scallops were raw. It was the worst service I have received in a long time. We will never be back and will not suggest anyone eat here! Gross!

I am not a picky person but i was so disappointed coming to Nagoya. I ordered shrimp fried rice and my wife ordered beef fried rice the portions ware way to small and all it was rice and little meat/shrimp no type of vegetables on any dish for $49 it was a ripoff. Never going back to this place.

Closest thing to authentic in Helena area. Big difference in skills of chefs, but regardless, always entertaining. Atmosphere invites conversation with your group and those sitting near you and promotes a group social experience.Terrific fun for a family or a date night.
