Pros: -good food -beautiful setting -friendly service Cons: -DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES. They are very unaccommodating. Their strict "no substitutions" policy leaves you paying for food you cant eat, and then upcharging you for a side dish you can eat. More info below. -Slow service -loud (do I really need a tv blasting a first person shooter video game show with my meal?) -notified hostess of special occasion upon arrival (9 year wedding anniversary) and NOTHING was done, or mentioned or ANYTHING. I would expect at the very least the server to be notified and to be told congratulations and thank you for celebrating with us. food issue: I am breastfeeding and my son has a milk protein allergy so it is critical that I not have any milk protein (casein, whey, along with other more obvious milk products). We told our server immediately upon arrival. She confirmed the appetizers we wanted were dairy free, but later on asked if butter was dairy, so Im not entirely confident. I wanted the scallops with a substitution for the risotto at the chefs discretion. I told them, any oil, mayonaise, and many other sauces are fine, I just cant have dairy. When they brought out my meal, it was dry, and basically a bunch of steamed asparagus with 2 steamed shrimp and dry seared scallops. (see image). Not the anniversary dinner I was expecting. To their credit, the manager brought it back and got me a new one with a garlic sauce, but this shouldnt have been a problem to begin with. Then they never brought out the risotto that they were charging us for (I mean if they are charging us for it I will bring it home and another family member can eat it). With all the back and forth we ended up being one of the last tables left at the restaurant. I have had better experiences at Applebees with my allergies. Moreover, my sons behavior and diaper changes lead me to believe there was actually dairy somewhere in my meal that night. We are lucky that it isnt a life threatening allergy, but if you do have one, I would steer clear of this restaurant.

Cool spot, but completely ruining the waterfront for others. Parking is non-existent anymore for people who just want to go to the waterfront to relax or hangout. If you want to take your kids to the little park, you better come really early because there will be dozens of restaurant guests walking around with their drinks. Maybe contain people to the restaurant so families and others can enjoy what little section of the waterfront hasnt been overrun? Like I said, I place is alright even though I do think they charge way too much for what they give you - especially for the location theyre in (this isnt Manhattan). Food is okay - be prepared to wait 1-2 hours (with a reservation) from when you get there to when you get your meal. And then expect everyone in your party to get their meals all at separate times. As for the restaurant itself, its still complete chaos. Its always extremely packed to the point where you cant move and are constantly getting bumped in to. Valet is a $5 flat charge and they had us waiting 30 minutes for our car, and then they expect another tip afterwards. Like I said, you could maybe get away with charging to park in Manhattan (even though Ive never even seen that), but this is Ossining. If you want a more pleasant and less chaotic dining experience on the Hudson, I recommend Harvest on the Hudson, Half Moon, or Sunset Cove. Maybe this place just needs time for the hype to die down, but I dont see it happening soon. Also, you cant have the half of the entire train station parking lot dedicated to your restaurant. I commute to the city/park at the train station, and the amount of traffic this restaurant brought overnight is abysmal. This place is trying to be an upscale, bourgie Manhattan restaurant - it is not. The view is amazing though.

First off, the food was good, drinks were good, view is incredible, and the setting is nice. I will probably go back at some point. I liked my waiter - he was enthusiastic and (mostly) attentive, at least once the restaurant started clearing out a little. However, the service took about an hour from seating just to put out our drinks and we were there for about 2.5 hours in total. I had to ask for the waiter to be sent over, which they responded to pretty quickly so that was good. They have TVs in the intimate dining area which takes away from conversation as it was a constant stimulation and distraction for the others in our group who faced them. The outdoor dining looked much better. Inside, they have these tiles that make me feel like Im eating in a large bathroom, so that was weird. My friend said it felt like the kitchen was spilling out into the restaurant (in a good way). They also have these really ugly booths that none of us really understood. Lastly, everything was pricey. I dont want to say outrageous, but definitely too much. Drinks were $10+ and barely alcoholic, which I guess can be a good thing, but still overpriced. Little note, the bathroom is in the front near the entrance which I thought was a little strange, but nothing wrong with it of course. The place can definitely improve and its just getting into its groove.

Fantastic place to experience a good meal with friends and family. Good ambiance, and great care to detail. All food ordered was amazing, and the attention to all details of our experience was well worth our trip to this place. I have since recommended this place to friends and family members, whom have tried it and liked it. I have thus far not had anyone complaint about the place. Please note that the place does get very busy during peak hours, and if you do not make a reservation, you may have to wait a good hour or more to eat. Also, parking can be tricky, so pay attention not to take parking spots from the train station, as you may receive a fine for that, as those are tag parking spots. Great location, and good views from the restaurant. Also, good choice of beers! While here, you have the option to eat inside, or outside, if you so desire. It is much more quiet outside, and the water view is great, as well. Please note that there is a nice bar on the inside, and a second one, outside, in the open which is much smaller. I recommend this place to anyone interesting in experiencing a nice, clean, friendly place with quality food and great water views. Be sure to go to the back, and walk over to the park on the water front... Good way to end an evening.

Location is great, food is OK, service is absolutely terrible. We interacted with 4 employees while we were dining there tonight. Every single one of them had an absolutely terrible attitude. We met the hostess and told them about our reservation and that we had requested a spot outside. She said "we make reservations, we dont reserve tables". Our waiter was a jerk the whole time and then we asked him to split the check and he said "I have no idea what you ordered" (2 couples). We then asked another waitress to take a picture of us. She gave us a snarky look and said "yeah Ill be right back" (never came back). So, we had to bother the table next to us and they took the picture. On the way out I wanted to speak to the floor manager and let him know about the experience. So, I asked yet another hostess if I could speak with the floor manager. To no surprise, he was not on the floor and she asked me with an attitude, "Why? What do you need to speak with him for". I told her I wanted to talk to him about the meal and she said, "I cant get him but Ill take a message". So here is my message... DO NOT GO HERE!
