This place provided a good atmosphere and relatively generous portions for the price. Living right up the street, this could have easily become one of me and my girlfriends regular spots, that is if I hadnt eaten the yellow fin tuna roll last night. I remember thinking about how large the pieces of fish were and how the tuna roll had a unique fatty, sweet taste too it. Two hours later that tuna roll was all I could think about as I vomited everyrywhere. I had been food poisoned and I would continue to vomit for about 12 hours until I finally had to go to urgent. Care. I tried to call them today to warn them about the possibly tainted fish but didnt get an answer after letting it ring for 5 minutes. Wont return here and the experience has probably ruined sushi for me in general.

We are regular take out customers and stop in from time to time to dine in. Always good food. We tend to stick to the sushi menu. The wife really loves the chirashi, and they have it at a great price. I did a quick pick up today and was surprised to see some of the rolls didnt look like I remembered. But, I wasnt sure if I was just misremembering or not. They didnt hesitate at all and helped me out with an extra roll. The owner explained they do usually cut that particular roll that way, but wanted me to have an extra anyway. Super great mom and pop outfit!

Great little sushi shop with an amazing happy hour. The staff assist every table ensuring you are well taken care of. Not sure what to pick no worries they can offer suggestions based on your tastes. (Their happy hour prices cant be beat make sure you visit during this time) The appetizers are great to share with the table (6 piece gyoza or veggie tempura). We enjoyed the AZ roll, tootsy roll, and a sashimi roll (think fish w more fish oh yeah and more fish). Not into that the traditional rolls are great (CA, crunch, try the veggie roll).

Im not a sushi addict, but I loved it! Service was prompt and well-timed, as well as the food being absolutely wonderful. I thought the food was prepared well and I usually have a weak stomach, but I am completely fine! Happy Hour rates are great, and Reverse Happy Hour rates are even better! Bring a couple friends here on a Friday or Saturday night, you wont be disappointed ;) But the place is quite small, so getting a table might take some time if you come during peak hours.

Youll find us here EVERY Friday night for the BEST Sushi in the East Valley. The Sushi chefs Jason & Nick create the most unique selections and take pride in their work. Be sure to try the Yellow Tail Kama, the Blue Fin Sashimi and the Baked Green Mussels...but please save some for us too! You cant go wrong with choosing this place, the quality is by far, so much better than the most expensive places like Blue Wasabi or Ra. We highly recommend Sushiya, right here in Gilbert!

We have sushi here at least once a week. It is always fresh, always amazing! The King Crab Soup is absolutely wonderful. It is sweet, sour, spicy, full of flavor and leaves you wanting more. My father lives in Texas and always raves about the King Crab Soup and the Arizona roll. We love the Geisha Roll and the Code Blue roll, but you cannot go wrong with any of them. The owner and chefs are friendly and fun to talk to. I would give six stars if I could.

Ive been here a few times, but normally I have been served by Asian staff as well as an Asian chef. This time it happened to be a young white girl who wasnt to helpful with the menu. The white chef made our rolls, wasnt bad but Im very particular about my fish. I dont bring my family here but when my favorite place is closed this comes in third place. Im sorry, but Im very particular about my fish.

This place has the best sushi, theyve never let me down. The happy hour prices are really good as well. The other day, I had their Spicy Garlic Edamame and a Geisha Roll, and they were phenomenal. My 8-year old doesnt like sushi so he gets the Honey Chicken. Its quite delicious and the portion is big enough that he needs help to finish it, so my wife and I obligingly steal some from his plate.

Service was good but our server didnt know a whole lot about the menu...she was very polite tho. There was another waitress helping our server and i could not understand a word she said due to her speaking so softly. The food was decent, the Assorted Tempura was kind of bland and I was expecting more from he Volcano Sushi. Id go there again or recommend it but not in a heartbeat...

My husband and I have been searching for a good sushi spot for a while now, and this is it! They have fantastic happy hour deals. The sushi was delicious and the food from the kitchen was great as well. You cant beat the prices for the quality of food you get. We will definitely be going here again. The restaurant itself is very small, but we didnt feel cramped. Service was great, too.

This place has the most pathetic customer service in the history of the world. I went in last night and sat at the sushi bar for almost 10 minutes. Not a beep or a boo from anybody - not the sushi chefs, the servers or management (I dont think they have that there). Ive eaten there before and the food is OK but it is a painful experience for anybody who expects decent service.

Owned.and operated by a lovely Korean couples, who treat their customers like family, and offer one of the best values and services in the valley in terms of sushi restraurants. The fish is always fresh, with huge pieces; the rolls are creative and yummy! You will return for more once youd tried it. Weve customers since they open.

Best Sushi Restaurant in Arizona, hands down! The sushi is fresh, the portions are generous and the prices are great! Ive been going to this place since it opened, and on the rare occasion I try another place I think to myself, "not as good as Sushiya!"... In fact, I think I might go there tonight!

Great sushi and gyoza. This is a go to spot for calling in an order and picking it up. Theyre usually spot on on when itll be ready. Their prices are comparable and they have a great happy hour menu as mentioned in another review. Regular rolls in this household are the Geisha, ASU, and Tootsie.

A hole-in-a-wall in a strip mall next to a gaming store and a hair salon. Happy Hour is your fiend here. Great quality. Sit at the bar, drink a beer, and watch your sushi get made. "Real" food served from the kitchen for non-sushi fans. Get the King Crab nigiri and the double-spicy rolls.
