I have been here a few times with friends of mine that love sushi, I do not, but I get a rice bowl and I can say that the food is good and my friends love their sushi but we went here today, Friday July 28th at around 1:30pm during our one hour lunch break from work, when we walked in there were only 2 tables with people at them and 1 guy sitting at the bar and there were 2 girls there working the floor. We were greeted, sat, given menus and placed our drink orders immediately. She brought our drinks out right away and then walked away, never asking if we had any questions or if we were ready to order. My friends ordered water and I got iced tea...which I wish I would have ordered water because my tea tasted gross, like it was a week old, I took 2 drinks of it and had my friend taste it only to concur with me that it tasted bad, so I put it off to the side and figured I would just ask for water instead when our waitress returned, no big deal. HOWEVER, 20 mins of waiting after our drinks were initially dropped off and we had made our decision and our menus were shut and my iced tea was pushed off to the side and placed at the front edge of the table, we only watched the waitress walk past us numerous times and did not even bother to stop and apologize for the wait, she did not even acknowledge our existence, we got up and walked out so that we would not be late returning to work! It doesnt end here, as were were walking out and already into the parking lot the waitress runs out and asks, "Did you pay?" I couldnt believe it!! Did we pay?!?! We told her, "No! You didnt even take our order!" and she just stood there staring at us so we say again "You never even came back and took our order!" and she then says "Oh. well Im sorry" WITH AN ATTITUDE. First of all, do not give an attitude to a customer that walked out because you cant do your job correctly! It was a ridiculous situation and should have never happened in the first place, especially when you have hardly anyone in there and we were left unattended to and ignored. I have been a server before and handled WAY more people and NEVER dropped the ball or ignored my customers. Unacceptable. I will say that the other times we have been there they have a waitress with blonde hair ( I do not know her name) who has always been VERY good, attentive and made sure we were taken care of 100%! She even went next door to frys and bought a certain type of alcohol that they did not have in stock to make me a mixed drink that I requested even after I told her not to worry about it and I would order something else, now that is going above and beyond and providing exceptional customer service! She is great! I dont know if we will go back, but if we do we will make a point to call and ask if the blonde waitress is working that day before we even go!

I went with friends. I paid my own bill. Nice clean place. Wait staff was friendly. Chef was great. Food was good. I thought it was pricey. I made the mistake of ordering "2" California Rolls. I thought it was 2 pieces but I got 2 orders or 16! The waitress didnt offer to take it back. I was hungry and ate them all plus beef on the skillet/table (sorry dont know the official name) dinner and had 25 oz Kirin beer. Grand total was $45.02. I I dont eat Japanese very often so I dont know if thats an average price. Ultimately, I will recommend it.

Sushi was average. Service was decent. Appetizer was frozen. Location was lovely and the place looked nice and clean. It was a bit on the slow side for lunch, and staff seemed nice. My friend and I did feel rushed to order as the server stood and hovered after giving the menus. We started with an appetizer and went with splitting 3 or 4 roles. As I said, appetizer was frozen in the middle and happened to be burnt on the outside. A total turn-off. Sushi came and it wasnt awful. Probably wont be stopping by anytime soon.

Hands down a must visit every time Im on the West side. Even though I live on the East side of Phoenix, Ive been here twice already in just the past few weeks - every time Ive been here its been a great experience. They obviously care very much about their business and everyones experience here. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra dollar on the fresh wasabi with your rolls, you wont regret it. Great vibe, they treat you like family and feed you like it too. 10/10!

4.5/5 Excellent Japanese food. Excellent service. Newton is very helpful with the menu and will answer any questions you may have. Picky kids will like the chicken fried rice. My only criticism would be choice of music. If I want to hear SiriusXM top 40, I can turn this on in the car. I would play some cool Japanese music streaming or otherwise. Restaurant has great decor despite this. Will return again.

I just realized that I had never posted a review about this place. I cant believe I have never posted a review about this place. Thats ridiculous. This place is amazing. The Ambiance is refined. This Sushi is wonderful. The sashimi is astounding. And the rice. If you like white rice then youll love this white rice. Its my favorite. (Disclaimer: I may have an unusual relationship with white rice.)

My husband and I had not been here for over a year, simply due to moving further away. We were in the area and decided to have a late lunch here. The whole restaurant had been remodeled and looked fantastic! The sushi was fresh and delicious, just as we had remembered. The staff was extremely friendly and prompt. We will definitely go back!

The food was excellent. Stood at the front door for 10 mins before even being acknowledged and then a table. Sat at our table for another 10 mins before being offered a drink. The waitress was extremely rude and had an excuse for everything. The trainee was amazing tho.

Fantastic! I have yet to find a better place in the local area. Try the spicy tuna I always get an order when I visit. Want something with eel? dragon roll , do it. If youre in the mood for soup, you cant go wrong with the Kake Udon! So taste many noms ;D

Great sushi and always great sushi. Mama (what I call her) behind the sushi counter can really make your spicy..."spicy" I call her spicy mama. Service is always great and very friendly. Must try fresh wasabi at least one time.

Masa and Iris make it happen. Excellent sushi - Excellent Drinks and Sake specials. Try Masas Dinner Roll for a surprise and the Climax and Booty Booty Roll for some fun...then celebrate after you receive the bill and a buzz!

Mostly excellent, but always good unless they are crowded. There is usually one sushi chef who really works too hard and needs to find a good assistant. Service always friendly. Nice people. Yes, great happy hour prices too.

Best sushi and happy hour special from 2 pm to close, if I remember correctly. Got 8 rolls and sake for about 40$. Cant beat that. The waiter and chefs were super accommodating and knowledgeable about their menu and drinks.
