While celebrating my sons graduation last week with our family my 13 year old though he had ordered a mozzarella stick dish. When he was served the dish it was three slices of tomato and three slices of mozzarella. The waiter handled it very well without making a scene and brought out another dish. Several minutes later the waiter approached me at the table, for all to hear, and said the owner, who was seating people that day, said we must pay for the dish whether it was a mistake or not. Well, paying $15.00 for three slices of tomato and cheese was not that big a deal being our bill was a couple hundred dollars. What really ruined the experience for us was how embarrassed my son was. We must have spent $1000.00 last year in his place and he was willing to lose that type of customer over three slices of tomato and cheese? Your patronage will not be appreciated here, and for that reason we will not be returning.

My friend friend from work recommended this place so I went in with 2 of my friends for lunch, Its decorated beautifully and has a warm welcoming atmosphere! The staff is very friendly and ready to attend to you in anyway that they can. The food is extremely tasty! This is by far the best authentic Italian restaurant on long island i been too. My friends ordered the Shrimp Frances and they were huge! They were even worried that they were going to get attacked by them! LOL I had the Chicken Rollatine Toscana and it was by far the best dish Ive ever had with mushrooms. Next time i go, I will be sitting at the bar and ordering food and drinks ! I highly recommend this place. It wont let you down !

Ive been to the La Piazza in Melville several times over the past couple of years, and it has never disappointed. Its a wonderful place for date night. The wait staff is excellent, and the food is delicious. Although other reviewers have complained about the speed of the service, I actually appreciate being given time between courses to digest so I dont walk out of there feeling too full. This isnt a fast food restaurant -- its fine dining, and its meant to be savored, not rushed. It is a little pricey, so try to go on a Monday when appetizers are half price as are bottles of wine $50 and above (or at least they were when I wrote this review).

Food was good, we had a reservations so we were seated quickly BUT the waiter killed it. Everything from drinks, food, dessert took forever AND every time they brought something out we had an issue. Wrong drink, wrong appetizer, wrong entree, it all comes down to the wrong waiter! I understand people make mistakes but we were there early and he only had 1 other table when we arrived. It also took over 2 hours to get through service, were not normally looking to rush but when you have this many issues you just want the experience to end.

The worst dining experience in my life. The food was good but the service was horrible. The most unprofessional, arrogant staff possible. Theyll keep you waiting, bring you the wrong dish...when they finally bring you a dish. And dont bother complanning to the manager, he doesnt care and doesnt want to be bothered. Theyre rude incompetent unprofessional and just plain lousy. The worst. Stay away and spend your money elsewhere.

We ordered pasta with shrimp and sweet sausages - They served the food in foil paper in top of the dinner plate. When asked, server replied the cook pre-made everything and then store in the refrigerator. When you order they just warm up the food and serve you. - The shrimps were not cleaned. - When complaint, the manager didnt show up. He sent the waiter back to us and she said that thats the way they make it.

Beautiful restaurant. Excellent food. Excellent service. This is *not* a casual pizzeria / restaurant - it is a bit more upscale. The prices are higher than what you pay at nearby pizzerias (like Victors or Bellagios) -- lunch for 7 was around $350 including tax and gratuity -- but you cannot compare a small order of penna a la vodka with branzino! :-)

FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. SERVICE WAS GREAT. THAT SAID I WAS WHEN THE BILL ARRIVED I HAD BEEN GIVEN A LA PIAZZA GIFT CARD FROM A FRIEND WHILE HE WAS AT THE PLAINVIEW STORE. CARD NOT NOT ACCEPTED AT WALT WHITMAN LOCATION. WHEN YOU GOOGLE LA PIAZZA ,ALL THREE STORES APPEAR. YOU JUST CAN;T USE ANY LA PIAZZA CARD. WHAT GALL. THEY SELL THE CARD BUT FOR THEM ONLY.

Excellent selection of authentic Italian dishes. A great departure from the saturation of pizza joints in the area. The atmosphere is very upscale and the prices are what one would expect. Try the stuffed rigatoni in cream sauce for a insane flavor ride. Portions are a bit small, but the food hearty.

Very nice experience! Food was good and our waiter Manolo was very kind and patient. He even took the time to show us the garden room which we are very interested in for our 20 year anniversary celebration. We even got to meet Tommy, the manager. I was very pleased with the overall service and food!

My family and I patiently waited for over an hour....just to get our drinks. Worst service I have ever experienced in my life. Food was great but overall experience was poor. At the end of the dinner service, I still didnt know who my waiter was. The managers ran around like chickens with no heads.

I had a very pleasant dinner at La Piazza in Melville. Everything here is at a higher scale than at the Plainview location. Our server, Nick, was very friendly, attentive throughout our stay. The food was excellent. Will definitely go back and recomment this place to friends and family.

Stopped in here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant itself is very clean, well-decorated, and inviting. The wait staff was very helpful and friendly. And the food was very, very good. Everything was reasonably priced, and tasted great. The pizzas were delicious!

Food is solid. Extremely satisfied with the service. I was upset with the portion size of a dish that had been delivered. I called the restaurant to let them know. They were very nice and sent out a delivery with more of that dish at no charge. Keep up the great work!

Food is consistently good and thats why I ordered from them. I recently ordered over $900 in catering to be delivered and they were 30 minutes late. That after i confirmed the afternoon before and then they called me at 830pm to confirm again.

La Piazza in Plainview has great pizza. This place is nothing like that the Plainview location. Its a fancier restaurant and they dont serve pizza (which was a huge mistake in my opinion). The food is overpriced and bland.
