My daughter wanted to go here for her birthday breakfast. We got there at 9:30am and apparently talked to the owner. We told him we had 15 people and he said it was an hour wait, when we replied ok, he immediately said more like an hour and a half to two hours. He then asked if we still wanted to wait and we said yes. He then informed us that they couldnt seat us together but 2 tables next to each other. Again we said thats fine. At 11am we received a text message stating they had a table ready for 8 people for our party. When we inquired about the other 7 people in our party. We were told that table wasnt ready yet. We inquired if the tables would be together and we were told No. We decided to go inside and speak with someone. We spoke with the hostess who brought over a loud woman who said she was the manager. We inquired about the status of our group of 15. She loudly was telling us that they cant sit 15 people at one time because it would stress out the kitchen and the owner told her that we agreed to be split up and she said she doesnt know why he would lie. I explained that we never agreed to be split up across the restaurant and I wouldnt lie either. We tried to explain we were here for my daughters birthday and would appreciate sitting close together. The manager then said they can seat 8 of our party but unsure when the rest of our party would be seated. After I left to go outside to talk to the rest of our group about this situation, my sister who was still inside said the manager stated to the waiting area, people shouldnt come in here when they are hangry. I felt as though she was grand standing the entire time with her loud, condescending mouth. We decided to leave and not deal with the amateur cooks who are overwhelmed with large orders of pancakes and eggs and very rude management staff. My daughter was very upset and crying when we left but the stress level of management told us it was for the best. The manager also told us that they discourage large groups of people eating there. They should tell people upfront, hang a large sign and put it on their Web page that they discourage large groups of people from eating at their establishment.

Well, Ive not been to the Chesterfield location, just the new place in Clayton where the former Wild Oats Market used to be. Went on Mothers Day and yes it was crowded so we sat at the counter which was so fine, like the old days. Anyway, I was VERY IMPRESSED with everything. Service was excellent despite how busy they were, place was spotless clean and very classy decor... not a chintzy, cheesy dirty place like some other pancake houses in St. Louis. I am not a big fan of sugar laden breakfast with syrup, carbs etc. so I had some omelet egg dish, with very nicely done hash browns, high quality bacon and I did eat some of my sisters pancakes and amazing top drawer quality maple syrup... had to admit it was really good. OH, and they have this $10,000 instant fresh squeezing orange juicing machine from Denmark (I think) and that OJ was superb. It was the BEST traditional breakfast Ive ever had in St. Louis. If I lived closer I would go there several times a month.

Will not be back, would rather go to Mimis or even Cracker Barrel. Went with some friends and we were so happy we called ahead. Over an hour wait and children everywhere that their parents didnt seem to want to parent. Service was mediocre, food was overpriced but looked good. Tasted "ok". Also noticed a couple days later I had 2 charges from them on my credit card statement asked my friends and they had been charged for their meal and they had so no idea where that charge came from. Called multiple times to speak with a manager and was on hold so long never was able to talk to one.

This is my favorite place for breakfast in all of Chesterfield. Everything is always perfectly cooked, and the staff is great. One time, there was a big delay on our food, and the manager sat down with us, apologized, and gave us the food on the house. It was super generous and it really impressed me. On weekends, the wait gets up to an hour and a half, but they use the NoWait app so you can get in line when you at home, and arrive closer to your seating time. Id definitely recommend doing that.

Its the best place to go for breakfast. They have great food and awesome coffee, and I cant forget the Orange Juice it is the best I have ever had. I have been to both locations and the Chesterfield Commons location is the best. Its always clean and the people are wonderful. My family came in from Arkansas a couple of summers ago and just loved the food and coffee, they truly enjoyed their time here. Thank you for your hard work and dedication.

The food is rather low quality, but priced like dinner at a 4 star restaurant. We came for Sunday brunch with a group of two adults and 4 small children. The bill was over $70. I had "the works" that came with two slices of french toast. I received one slice cut in half and called two. The cheese on my friends plate looked and tasted like fake cheese such as Velveeta. Maybe we should have gotten the pancakes like everyone else.

The chorizo Omelet and the Homemade Corned Beef Hash with Eggs were to die for!!! The staff was very friendly and the coffee was also great! I rated 5 Starts for amazing taste and friendly people. We also got to sample their bacon and it was delicious! We highly recommend this restaurant. However we were told that weekends have a very long wait so try to visit during the week. :)

I have been a longtime fan of the Original Pancake House going back to my Minnesota days. This is standard OPH fare: a consistently excellent quality. I often order the Eggs Benedict as its one of the few things I can enjoy when I eat out that I never make at home. The Wolferman English muffins are amazing. I prefer the spacious layout here over the one in Ladue.

I was so excited when they opened The Original Pancake House in Chesterfield, MO and brought the chain to St. Louis. In my hometown of Detroit we had one in our neighborhood and it was in our Sunday tradition to go there. We eat here in Chesterfield and the staff is great, the food is amazing, and well.... everyone knows your name!

Overall it was very good. We had a family of 9, but 2 werent eating. I ordered a waffle with hash browns. In my opinion, the hash browns and bacon werent as good as people were saying they were, but the waffles were amazing. Ive only gone a few times but I recommend this place highly

Service was incredibly poor. My eggs were undercooked and inedible. We sent them back and they came back cold and overcooked--like rubber. Wont go back and I recommend that you stay away as well. The food and service used to be excellent and now it is poor, at best.
