Compared to Los Angeles and New York (Ajisen, Misoya, Daikokuya), you will definitely be disappointed. This is even not quite comparable to places nearby -- in Southern Maryland/Wheaton or DC. I dont think I will be back and would rather just hold out for a trip to DC/Southern Maryland (Rens Ramen or Daikaya) to get my ramen fix. I usually order the Tonkatsu ramen in order to compare various ramen places because it is on almost everybodys menu. My date ordered the curry tonkatsu ramen. The pork slices here are hard and not flavorful. The eggs -- which are the highlight of my ramen bowls -- are medium-boiled/overcooked and plain as well. Finally, there is not much broth, even though the flavor of the broth was fine. Im somewhat surprised that this place has such a high rating, but I suppose these are the standards around here. That said, the waitresses are attentive and one of them is quite funny because she is easily startled (when you flag her down/ask her a question). Water glasses were always filled.

Overall solid ramen place. Started with edamame. Cooked well, lightly salted. A nice starter Spicy miso ramen: Excellent flavorful broth. Half an egg perfectly cooked. Very nice al dente texture to the noodles which seemed fresh and never dried. Pork was mostly tender and had little fat. Sprinkled with some grilled corn and fresh bean sprouts. Soup was topped with oddly out of place iceberg lettuce. Spicy level medium hot, enough to make my nose run but not slow me down. Very salty. A- Creamy shio ramen: A nice flavorful chicken-broth with pork, egg, and seaweed paper. Again, could lose the iceberg lettuce. B+ A nice lunch spot. Staff very friend if not too attentive to the small water glasses that were topped off too frequently. Restaurant had an odd sour smell that we got used to with time. Would go back.

Im always on the search for amazing ramen. Hot flavorful noodle soups are a favorite of mine. Baltimore has been upping its game and Kippo is at the top, at least for me. Ive been here twice and the food is delicious. I dont eat pork so I really appreciate that they have chicken and vegetable broth options, as well as tofu as a protein. I usually get the spicy miso chicken broth with tofu, I like to add mushrooms and fried garlic. The broth is so flavorful and perfectly spicy. It comes with corn and lettuce, which is surprisingly good. I dont think Ive ever had lettuce in a soup before coming here. My boyfriend has had the curry tonkatsu which he loved. We also shared the veggie potstickers, which were crispy and delicious. The servers are always friendly and attentive.

Four star food, two star service. Baltimores newest ramen establishment offers a full range of tonkotsu, shoyu, and miso ramen. The sides were traditionally sparse, but the broth was rich and unctuous. Particularly surprising was the robust sake menu featuring premium, not--widely-available sake offerings. The drawback was the service. Three of four orders came out wrong. The only correct one was served to the wrong diner. One was mistakenly served to another table, then whisked back to our table when the mistake became apparent. Water glasses remained empty most of the evening and it took a long time for the check to arrive. I expect great things and hope to return to better service. Im rooting for this spot and am anxious to update my review with a higher rating.

I absolutely loved the food here. This was the first Ramen specific place Ive been too, and loved the strong flavors, yet simple dish. Its a great place to grab a few drinks too, especially if you like Sake! They had a ton of different Sakes, and even gave a description of each. The place itself was pretty clean and had a nice layout. The service was a little slow. The server never came back after the food was delivered to us. We had to ask another server for drinks. Other than that, it was a great visit and I will be back again.

The interior here is very clean and modern. Youre greeted in Japanese by friendly hostesses, and its an overall warm, welcoming atmosphere. The beef donburi mini rice bowl was tastier than my ramen dish, but maybe I ordered a "weak" ramen. I should have tried the spicy miso instead, it looks like. I hope this place survives and continues to get better. The menu could be laid out much better and describe the different broths/ingredients better too.

Love this place. The environment is very chill and welcoming. They welcome you as soon as you walk in. After being seated, you get the menu and water right away. They had spirited away playing on the projector. The noodle is cooked to el dente which is perfect because it will still be in the hot broth and soften up. Their food is very delicious and filling. Sadly, I did not try their dessert but I will definitely be going here again.

New, modern ramen restaurant in Fells Point. I had the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen and was disappointed. The broth lacked flavor and aroma. I also had the Ebi Yaki, which is the shrimp version of the takoyaki. Taste like a normal takoyaki, but really small pieces of shrimp. The restaurant was really clean. Service was a little on the slow side.

A very nice hole in the wall that I accidentally came across in Baltimore. Its small and easy to miss, but that in no shape reflects their quality. My favorite ramen shop Ive tried by far. Their noodles have the perfect texture and their chashu is melt-in-the-mouth tender. I recommend either the aka miso or the spicy miso... Delicious!

As soon as we sat down we were given waters and menus. The service here was really quick and the food was amazing! The food tasted and looked genuine and not americanized. The ambiance was neat, with a video projected on the wall of a parade in Japan and a view of the cooks in the kitchen. The only drinks they have are sake and wine.

Been here twice now and I love it. Broth is flavorful, portions are good, toppings and varieties of broth are great. The Gyoza and Tako Yaki were wonderful as well. My only complaint is the pork chashu is not nearly as flavorful as the rest of the meal. All in all Its great. Good place to drink, too.

Hands down the best Ramen in Baltimore. Authentic dishes, quick service, and a welcoming atmosphere brings some delicious Japanese atmosphere right to Fells Point. The head chef is regularly testing new ingredients from the Far East to supplement and improve their impressive Ramen offerings.

Something new wasnt sure if I would like but I liked it very much. Nice place friendly employees, fast service, unlike the Wendys on Rolling Road and Dogwood who would rather talk amongst themselves then to wait on someone who wants to spend their money there stay away if your hungry

A welcome addition to the Asian food scene in Baltimore! The ramen satisfied my husbands picky taste (he generally prefers to go to NY or Chicago for Asian food) and the ambiance was great. We look forward to going back to indulge in some Japanese-style asian fare.
