I am only giving this place a 2 star for the quality of the food i received. I had the double bernie burger and it was great. I received the worst service from this place. When we first got there it was seat yourself. We sat at our table for roughly 15 minutes before anyone even noticed us, as 4-5 servers walked past us. We did not have silver ware or menus to indicate we were ready to order, etc. Once we got our server and 2 menus, for 3 people, it took about another ten minutes for our drinks to be brought to our table. It was not that busy either.Not busy enough for the service we got. So we ordered our drinks, things were turning around, maybe they were just busy. NOPE, after about 35 minutes of waiting for our food, which once again was really good for what we got, one of our 3 orders were right. My burger and fries were fine, the other 2 burgers and sides were completely wrong. Not the right burger, not the right sides. So we told one of the servers that our food was not correct. Nothing was done about it. Our server did not come out at all after our initial order. So we said what ever, enjoyed what we got. Once we were completely finished, our server approached us about our meals being incorrect. They did remove one of our meals, which two of them should have been removed. During this time, we asked for refills of our drinks, i asked for a water and a diet coke, only received a coke, our other diner did not receive her drink at all. After all that we got our bill right away. That was their best response time for anything in about an hour and a half worth of time. Nothing was going right. Our bill came out to be 33.07$, we left a 50$, it took them another 20 minutes to get our change. Which we only received a ten dollar bill. When then asked where the rest of our change was, we finally got the rest of it. I am not the kind of person to stiff and left a 7 dollar tip on the bill. It was absolutely god awful service, i will give this place another chance, but if anything happens like it again i personally will never return. The lack of knowledge, speed, and friendliness was absolutely horrible.

I guess my curse is i work in the restaurant industry as a bartender/server and so i notice EVERY little detail anytime i go out to eat... From the greet time, teamwork among the employees to the moment i am presented with the check etc. I had dinner with my daughter at your restaurant this evening around 7:30 pm. We sat on the patio... The server greeted us with an irritated attitude, "Can i get you something to drink and an app?" Not "Hello, my name is..." We ordered fried pickels for the app, and my daughter had the full rack of ribs and i had the 16 oz ribeye ordered medium rare... The timing of the app, salad and dinner was really good... But my steak was delivered very well done. I guess i do not understand how a restaurant with the word "Grill" in its name, not know how to prepare a steak! When the server asked how everything was, i told her that my steak was well done and AGAIN with an attitude she asks "do you want me to have them cook you another?" I said no that it was ok... I am not one that likes to waste food, especially steak. At least my dog ate well tonight. Anytime i ever have a guest unhappy about ANYTHING i always let my managers know so they can talk to my guest to make sure that everything is done to make them happy. No manager stopped by to check on us... In all honesty, the guy who was the busser showed more politeness and most definitely better work ethic than my server did or any of the other servers!! Anytime he came over to clear a plate, he always asked "May i take this plate"... AND he was constantly working!!! I feel that he should be promoted to server... He has MUCH BETTER people/customer service skills than the servers did!

We ate dinner at Gahanna Grill last night and it was a debacle. First they told us to "sit wherever we would like" which was the first sign of the disorganization that was about to come. Two tables came in after us and received their menus. We had to wait an additional 15 minutes before we even received menus. Then an additional 10 minutes before the waiter came to take our order. We should have left if we had known we would wait an additional 40 minutes to receive our food. The table in front of us got up and left upon receiving their food because the food was cold and they had been waiting a long time too (but not as long as us). As the table next to us was paying their bill they told the waitress they felt bad for us because we were there before them and didnt even have our food yet. The whole thing was ridiculous. When the food arrived, the fries were at least hot but the burger was terrible. This was a week night, we were there after my sons soccer game, he still had homework and we were all very hungry because it was so late. We will never go to Gahanna Grill again. I havent had such a horrendous experience in a restaurant in recent memory.

Excellent great American food. We ate late evening appetizers plate (the combo), a cup of cabbage and hamburger soup. All was delivered at nice hot temperatures. All very tasty and reasonably priced. We sat on the outdoor patio facing Granville street in 86 degree weather until the sunset. Very pleasant and breezy! It was artic cold inside, which was tad chilly for us. Well definitely come back for their Beanie Burger. Although we werent super hungry, we had menu envy looking at it. It looked delicious!

Tonight was the 2nd attempt at this place. The 1st was about a year ago. The service leaves a lot to be desired. Great service can fix bad food. It doesnt matter how good the food is, horrible service will kill it for me every time. What was good? The burger. What was bad? Time waited to be created, and when we were it was "What do you want?" Well, a menu for starters. Its not even worth the remaining disappointments that soon followed. Sorry Gahanna Grill, your establishment has no place in my budget.

I gave this a one star because of the service. We waited an hour and a half for our food!! Our server forgot to put in our order. We sat and watched as people came and went and still no food for us. When we finally questioned where our dinner was we were told it would be out in seven minutes. Well half an hour latter it came just before we were getting ready to walk out. Talked to the manager and no apology. You would think our drinks would have been comped. Nothing. Will not be returning.

Carry out is second best. Dont take the time to check the accuracy and absolutely NO follow thru from management. Been waiting a week for a call that will probably never come. What a shame. It was actually good food ( what i did get ) but I guess I wasnt regular enough so I wont be returning. If you try this place I wouldnt suggest taking their word - double check because they dont.
