I eat there about once a week for lunch and its very good. It can be crowded, with its location being near BMW and other similar large companies, but service is always as fast as possible. Theyve made many improvements over recent months - more seating, better use of space, and an additional register and it all has made a difference. You can eat outside as well. Food is excellent, staff is friendly and professional, and the one time I had a problem with my meal they resolved it very well. Lots of great options, big portions, really good sauces. Highly recommended!

Excellent food at excellent prices! They have a wide variety of sauces that can be used with the mostly rice and chicken dishes to give them more flavor and variety. I eat here regularly and typically get the Deluxe #2 Combo with Garlic or Curry sauce. Its fun to sample some of the Caribbean drinks from the cooler from time to time. The fried plantains are also delicious and fun to eat. The staff is used to dealing with large crowds so they can be a bit pushy when taking your order. Feeling rushed while placing an order is my only negative for this restaurant.

I love tropical grille and always have since I first tasted it but one day I can come in and the chicken is cooked fine and come in another day and the chicken is no cooked fully. I stopped eating here for a while then they remodeled their woodruff rd location and I came to try it again thinking that they maybe wouldve improved the chicken ,I was wrong. I just came from their and I will not be coming back! Im so disgusted, I feel like Im a pretty fair person and dont complain too much but before I catch salmonella Im just going to stop eating there period!

I dont like chicken so I was apprehensive about eating here but, when I saw they have Ropo Vieja (Fridays only), I was much more interested. Ive never had that but I had recently heard of it watching an episode of "The Finder" and my curiosity was piqued. As it was not Friday, we had pork on rice with black beans. The food was tasty and of good quality ingredients. The counter service was a little too brisk but not unfriendly. The atmosphere is a little spartan but clean and light. Verdict: recommended! I will be back to try the Ropo Vieja.

Tried this place out several times and have not been disappointed. The Cuban Sandwich was great and it was large enough for two people to eat. The grill chicken with the white rice and black beans was reeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally tasty as well. The owner was friendly and even brought out some grilled pork to try out last time I went with my brother. You dont have to be Cuban to appreciate this food, its simply just that good and well seasoned. Friendly service, nice location and two thumbs up on the food.

Great food, great price but I have now been there 4 times and EVERY time I order a Classic Chop with Mushrooms and EVERY time the staff forget the mushrooms. The first three times I was upset because I didnt check the food until I got home, the last time I checked while there and lo and behold...no mushrooms even though the ticket says ADD: MUSHROOMS. The staff do not seem to really care about the service but more about getting you your food fast. Hopefully this will change but comeon...4 out 4 times incorrect order?

Probably the best casual restaurant in all of Greenville. This restaurant is awesome. It is "semi-fast food", kind of like a Five Guys burgers. You can dine there, and the food is ready in 2 minutes, but a good amount of their business is takeout. The food is absolutely AMAZING, super high quality. Even though it isnt fancy, it is absolutely one of the best restaurants in Greenville. The service is also A++. Very fast, very friendly. I recommend the Cuban Chop, and make sure you try the curry sauce!

Id like to take the time to give my thanks to Tropical Grill on pelham Rd. They take care of me, man. I have never not once had a bad experience here, and the food is very, very amazing. The service is excellent as well. I prefer this place over Chipotle, but I wished Tropical Grill had a card where you can put a certain amount of money in, and be good to go. Other than that, I love this place. I visit this place on a weekly basis, and they stay consistent with their food and service. <3

First visit wasnt so good. Ordered take out and should have checked my order at the restaurant. It wasnt busy. So I dont know what had everyone preoccupied but it should have been a sign. 1) Order some kind of steak chop and got some kind of chicken chop that contained some white substance that was not listed nor was I told was in it when I asked the ingredients. 2) asked for white rice and got yellow rice in both meals If youre someone who tracks your food, dont go here.

Wish I wouldve made this my first stop! I had their classic wrap an added cheese with a side of yucca fries. The food was really but I called in my order an stood in line when I got there, when I got to the counter the girl told me I couldve come up to the other register instead of waiting... All I could think was it wouldve been nice of her to tell me that when I called in my order an said I had never been there before.

Stopped here on a day trip to Greenville with my wife and in-laws (Cuban-American) and really enjoyed the food. Great chicken with black beans and white rice, good tostones and fried plantains. Atmosphere is a little boring and cafeteria-like, but the menu makes up for that. Not expensive, but recommended for lunch or quick dinner if youre craving something "Tropical" and youre in the area. Will return again!

PLEASE, Bring a Tropical Chicken to Hendersonville or Spartanburg! I live in Hendersonville, work in Spartanburg, and I cant make it there and back on my lunch break. The cuban isnt just delicious, its good for you. The southwest, or those wraps! Its getting to eat something that tastes amazing and yet isnt bad for you. And the dine in atmosphere is perfect...God has surely Blessed them!

Delicious slow roasted chopped chicken over fresh rice and veggies. Great portions at a great price. All of their sauces are amazing, but i could almost drink the yellow curry mustard sauce straight. Staff is super friendly, the place is always clean, and service is always very quick. One of my favorite lunch places in town. And they dont skimp like the Greer location does!

Great food for a great price, and newly renovated/ing! They really have a nice clean upscale look now that I was really impressed by. They also have visuals for their unusual but amazing cuisine. This is one of those places that locals talk about and eat at in Greenville. Treat yourself and head in to one of my favorites. Protip: try all the sauces!
