My table stood at the entrance for over ten minutes before the waitress (who apparently was doubling as a cook, so she said) noticed us and seated us. The waitress was sloppy and had dried chewing tobacco juice all over her face and lips. There was only one other table in the restaurant during the entirety of our dining experience. Both tables (mine and the other) took over an hour to recieve what was ordered. The waitress/chef sent out another employee, who was incredibly high, to confirm what was in our order (because they thought they screwed it up) and then delivered our food to us ten minutes later. When our food came out, everything was cold. They didnt refill our drinks until they were asked to, and even that took them around five minutes to complete. Anyone who didnt explicitly ask for a refill did not recieve a refill. Not once was our table checked on in the hour that we sat without food. When paying, it took an additional five minutes to get everything paid for. Two groups of people arrived as we waited to pay and were turned away at the door and told that they just forgot to lock up and that they would not be served. All of what Im saying sounds like its straight out of a comedy sketch, but trust me, its not. Next time Ill save my money and go to Taco Bell.

2-10-15 11:00 We had the worst dining experience ever!!! The managemnt of the IHOP in Dubuque should me ashamed of how the resturant is being run. The cooks were SCREAMING at the servers and the hostess was SCREAMING at the cooks. I am not exaggerating..they were screaming..the whole resturant turn to watch the outburst. We waited 10 minutes for waitress to come to our table, she took our oder and ten minutes later brought us a dirty cup and a pot of coffee with ONE HALF of a cup in it!!! As we watched the worse wait staff we have ever seen..the screaming match broke out and with that we had enough..we walked out and told everyone standing waiting to get in to walk out as will. This was awful..the whole wait staff should be reprimanded and management (which obviously WASNT even there) should be fired.

Typically I do not go to iHop because every time I go I get terrible service! However that did not happen tonight, my girlfriend and I walked in around 11:30 PM to a guy locking the doors. I walk up and ask "Are you guys closing for the night?" He replies "Yes, but Ill let you in as the last customers for the night because I am both the cook and server tonight. Walked back to my car to let my girlfriend know whats happening and we decide we dont have anything else going on so we could wait. I dont know how this is even possible... but somehow with this ONE employee working it was the fastest and best service I have EVER had at this iHop!!! Incase you are wondering who I am referring to his name is James.

The service was slow and the coffee was to strong. We waited 10 mintues after being sat down before we even got a hello from the waitress. She was busy entering in every order she got into a computer Instead of just handing the order to the cook. Afterword we gave her both or orders for drinks and food which she yet again had to enter into the computer before grabbing are drinks. All in all it took 30 minutes to get are food from the time we got there and another 30 minutes after that do to waiting on are ticket. So what should have been a 30 minute process took an hour do to the system they have set up there. This is the wrong way of "upgrading" your systems.

We waited 30min to be seated, which would be okay for a Sunday except we counted over 8 tables open with no people. There was no hostess and the wait-staff was overwhelmed. Our waitress admitted she was close to crying they were so overwhelmed. The food took an hour and this was after the waitress "rushed" our order. There was hair in one of our parties food, we didnt bother telling them because we were already running late. The kitchen staff had no hairnets on, although one had a baseball cap on. You could also hear someone yelling that they just dont care. The a/c wasnt on. It was 69° outside and we were sweating inside. It felt more like the hear was on.

Very poor service. There were only 8 people in the entire restaurant, one table of 6 and 1 table of 2. We were the table of 2. After 40 minutes of waiting for 2 pieces of french toast with bacon and a sampler of 3 sausage, eggs and pancake told them we were leaving. Said our order was up at the window right then. We said OK we would stay until we heard the waitress trying to explain what our order contained. Evidently the order "waiting at the window" had not even been started. Meanwhile the wait staff made sure they had things to eat. Will not be returning to IHOP any time soon if ever.

Worst service ever!! It was a slow day and the waitress never came by to check on us. We finished our food and waited 15 minutes before she came by to see if we wanted our bill. She then proceeded to help other people for 10 minutes, at which time we asked for the bill again. She never brought it. We had to walk to the counter before she could give us her time. Shes lucky we didnt walk out on her without paying for our meal. This was our first and last visit here ever. Terrible!!!

Not much of anything! ! Once we were taken to our booth, it took our waitress 15 minutes to come take our order. There were only 3 other tables other then ours. Once she took our order, it took 1 hour to get our food. Our food was ok. The whites in the over easy eggs were very very runny, the bacon was only half cooked, the pancakes were not cooked through. I will never eat at this ihop ever again. I would not tell any of my friends and family to eat at it either!!!!!!!

This place doesnt even deserve 1 star. The service was just extremely horrible! We got sat & served our waters right away. The server took our food & then disappeared. We waited 45 minutes & our food still hadnt come out. Then I see our server sitting in a booth socializing with a customer. Not once, did she come tell us how much longer until our food came out. What was worst was that even the customers who sat by us noticed how long it was taking! HORRIBLE!

Wish I had read reviews before I took my daughter there. We were seated quickly and my daughter and I looked over a menu for about 20 minutes and was ready to order....waited a while longer. After 35 minutes...No waitress. No one had even come to get a drink order. I could hear the shift manager chewing the staffs head off in the back the entire time. We walked out. Terrible experience. We Wont be returning to this location.

We arrived around 11, placed an order and drink order. After waiting an hour and getting no refills on our "never empty coffee pot" we noticed every table around us had eaten and left while we still hadnt even received our food. Terrible customer service, not even an apology from our waitress when she finally showed up. Avoid this place, go to any other breakfast place in town and youll be much better off.
